Valco Baby Snap 4 Trend Tailormade
The Valco Baby Snap 4 Trend Tailormade is the latest and the most luxurious four-wheel Snap stroller. It is called the Snap because of the quick, inward fold. Although the Snap 4 Trend Tailormade is a bit heavier than the original Snap 4, it is still a lightweight stroller. Compared to the basic model, the Snap 4 Trend Tailormade also features a premium Tailormade quality seat and hood fabric in melange as well as the Trend elements: adjustable handlebar with leatherette handle grips, leatherette covered bumper bar and chassis in elegant grey. The new 4 stage Expanda hood doubled in size. The extendable hood consists of four panels including a UV mesh panel for ventilation, the back of the hood is fully covered. The new seat provides more room for the child. The profile of the tires and the spoke design have also been updated. The stroller now has a true one-handed fold without the need to release a separate safety catch.
The non-reversible seat can be reclined sufficiently even for smaller babies. The carrycot and the adapters for the car seat are also available to provide comfort for newborns. There is also an option to use the Valco newborn insert instead of the carrycot. The air-filled tires suitable for rougher terrain are available either separately or as a part of the version Snap 4 Sport Trend Tailormade.

Parent reviews of the Valco Baby Snap 4 Trend Tailormade
- Huge canopy
- Quality textiles
- Sturdy build
- Spacious seat - this is why we bought, we have a tall toddler who loves to still nap in the stroller
- Rubber on the tyres rund down very fast
- No suspension, it is super stiff
Comfort for parents but not for kids - there is no suspension. We bought this because our tall toddler still naps in the stroller and we wanted to provide some comfort for him. The lack of suspension makes this less than ideal, limited to certain situations.
The way the canopy folds is a bit not ideal. We bought it second hand and the rubber on the wheels is super worn out. Also, the stroller weighs 8.55 kg with default wheels and 9.3 kg with Air Tyres Wheels or Infinity wheels both of which we tried and they bring absolutely nothing to the stroller in terms of "suspension"... as one would expect.
We sold the stroller and bought a Kinderkraft Mitzy which just launched a few months ago, and it ticks all of the Valco good boxes, plus more, that is suspension on all wheels, free extras, and half the price of the Valco
- Lightweight
- Good handling
- Easy to fold
- The apron lets he wind in in winter - it does not fit tightly to the pushchair
I'm satisfied, but I have no comparison.
Quickly foldable, fits a lot of stuff. Great satisfaction 👍
- Low weight
- Amazing folding into the car
- XXL hood
- Material
- Adjustable handle for tall parents
- The baby's body is not as fixed as in bucket style seats
- It is not cushioned, so the baby shakes a little on terrain
Excellent stroller. Small, smart, lightweight, folds nicely in and out of the car. Compared to the Bugaboo Cameleon 2, which I had before, it has better riding characteristics - especially on gravel, sand, broken pavement, etc. The only minus is that I like the budket seating more than such a 'folding' one. When the baby sleeps in it, it rolls to the side.
The only thing missing is the two-way facing of the seat and an adjustable handle. Next we will go for the "ultra" version 😉 Otherwise excellent stroller, light and stable at the same time, no rattle. Long enough canopy, ventilation options will be appreciated especially during the hot summer.
- Light weight
- Can be reclined lie-flat
- Large
- Spacious basket
- Easy handling
- When reclined fully, the leg cover is only fastened at the top, because the Velcro can only be fastened when the child is sitting up
I am happy with the stroller. It's light, it fits even for a larger toddler.
- Compact
- Lightweight
- Spacious
- Good manoeuvrability
- Reclining backrest
- Well-accessible basket
- Folding the seat parts inwards
- Sold without additional accessories (raincoat, mosquito net...)
- Price
- Possible to transport
- Forward facing ride only
- No suspension
The Valco Snap 4 Trend is a very light and compact stroller. I looked it up on youtube where a Polish lady reviewed it and she says "a ta budka jest taka ogroooomna" 😃 Yes, the canopy is really huuuge.
I like how compact the stroller is, despite being big - roomy for the child, and it's pretty tall too. It has a rotating handle, it is easy to fold. Suitable for taller parents/stroller drivers 🙃
Appreciate the magnet inspection window for checking the baby - when he is sleeping, no rustling of the velcro doesn't wake him up. The stroller is overall pretty ventilated. The reclining position is great too - the backrest plus footrest makes for a really long napping space. The child's bar can only be unbuckled in one position of its joint (you can't rotate it 360 degrees). The basket is quite spacious, but only "cloth". I'm curious to see what it will hold... anyway, it's easy to get to if he kid is lying down.
Beware of loading the stroller with a heavy bag on the parent handle. If the baby is not sitting in the stroller, the stroller may tip over.
Before buying it, I couldn't decide for a long time whether to go for it or not because a lot of moms were dealing with claims of a faulty batch of wheels that wobbled, vibrated, jammed, etc. I haven't noticed anything like that with ours yet and I'm enjoying all the benefits of the stroller. It is more of a city stroller, but one that will get you through lighter terrain and won't take up all the space in the trunk of your car. I'm told you can take it on a plane.
An incredible stroller for such a low price.
A great stroller. If it didn't tip over sometimes and had a larger storage it would be top of the tops.
The best I owned and tried out... I can recommend it to anybody.
Your questions about the Valco Baby Snap 4 Trend Tailormade
Hello,
I love the specs of this Snap:
- width < 55cm
- large basket
- big enough wheels
But it lacks suspensions, and I'm afraid I can't overlook that.
Is there something with these specs, but that adds suspensions on all wheels?
(leaving along Snap Sport, because it has air filled wheels, which I wouldn't want to mantain)
Thank you!!
Hello, there!
Well, there is and there isn't. Each stroller is a bit different so THE SAME you won't get, but similarly functioning strollers there are, absolutely.
After a Valco, I was very very happy with an Oyster Zero which has tad smaller wheels but still was able to go over grass and dirt roads thanks to a rather nice suspension. Also, the weight of it is similar and the canopy and seat width is even better than the Valco's.
My next advice would be a heavier but still doable Joie Mytrax - it has similar wheels to air-filled wheels but they're filled with foam so there's no risk of a puncture. And the basket there is awesome.
I'll also mention a Baby Jogger City Mini2 or a Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 which are more expensive but much higher quality & with shock absorbers.
Lastly, a few other models to look at: the ABC Design Okini, TFK Dot 2, Gesslein S4 or a Thule Spring (this, as a three-wheeler, has a width of 58.5 cm but this is still veeery ok and narrow enough).
Also, I'll suggest reading our different stroller wheels type guide to compare and understand how all that works and what can be best for you.
And - good luck! ❤️
Hi Eli, I’ve just purchased a Valco Snap 4 Trend Tailormade pram but didn’t realise it doesn’t have a peek-a-boo window!?! I had a snap4 which I liked and thought I’d get “the top model”.
Is there another model I needed to get instead? Do I sell and buy again?
I was between Ultra and Trend 4 but decided for 4 due to the size and weight and more compact fold, and the seat also folds down. Have a Maxi Cosi capsule also, which I love - I can keep the pram seat still attached.
Any other prams I should consider?
Must have:
Lying completely flat
Clean fold with a seat attached
LIGHTWEIGHT
Easy to manoeuvre
4 wheels
Maxi Cosi compatible
Large/extendable canopy
Large basket
Compact
Newborn to the oldest child as possible :)
Peek-a-boo window
No need to remove the seat to attach a capsule
Advantage:
Sun protection
A reversible seat would be amazing if one with the above requirements exists?
Other than black - like the light grey/denim style
Thank you so much for any ideas!
Hey, Dashi,
A good question, actually, as many struggle with similar requirements. Firstly I would like to say that the Trend KIND OF does have a window - when you extend the canopy, only the mesh part, you CAN see through it to your baby, so they took it that's a ✅ I know, you would probably love something else, but yeah, no stroller has it all and the priorities have to be picked while choosing.
From what you say, I would most certainly go for an Oyster Zero by
. Super light, very wide seat, similar even though outward fold, compatible with an MC capsule the same way. There's even a new Oyster Zero Gravity out now but unsure if already available where you are, so really worth checking out!
A Joie Litetrax 4 would also work, but it's heavier and less spacious than a Trend or an Oyster Zero. So it wouldn't be my choice here.
I would most certainly not go for a reversible seat - just read about it some more in our article, it will ALWAYS be less spacious and a more bulky, heavier stroller (not talking about more expensive]]. And you almost never use a car seat in the way you describe with a reversible-seater.
Hope I helped! Good luck 😊
