Mutsy Evo
.eli
The Mutsy Evo is a stroller on a relatively conventional contemporary chassis, but with bold, modern wheels and distinctive spokes. It is a rather lightweight stroller that is offering easy maneuverability over urban surfaces. Occasionally, the Evo can also handle a slightly more demanding terrain. The reversible seat unit can be reclined fully, while the leg rest is adjustable as well. Despite the hood does having a pop-out sun visor and can be extended further by the zip-out panel, It is still on the shorter side. If you want to use the Evo from birth, you can purchase the Evo bundle with the carrycot already included. The carrycot features practical pockets for small items as well as carry straps. The carrycot, the seat and the car seat of the Evo are also available separately. By adding any of them to a separately-bought chassis, you can create any desired combination.
The Evo is available in a wide range of colors divided into three collections. The Farmer collection comes in subdued color palette (five colors) with melange fabrics. The Industrial collection with two bolder melange fabric colors to choose from features a black sun visor. There are four colors to choose from in the Urban Nomad collection. This collection is featuring the conventional-looking fabrics in one color combined with a black sun visor. You can also choose a matching version of the chassis. The Farmer chassis is either black, silver, dark grey or blue-grey, featuring a dark brown leatherette handlebar. The Urban Nomad and the Industrial chassis is either black, silver or dark grey and is equipped with a cognac brown leatherette handlebar. There is also a wide range of accessories available including air-filled rear wheels or the original sibling board.

- The seat unit lasted us until 2 years (but at that ~2 years time, it was barely so), the little one sat in it crammed
Perfect stroller with large foam wheels. Good handling, simple, stylish. I loved it <3
A great stroller. Simple, stylish 😍 Easy to operate. The cot is light.
- Compact (folds and unfolds quickly for transport)
- Narrow
- Handles well
- Quite small bassinet (a six-month-old baby couldn't fit in the seat with a footmuff)
- Storage space under the stroller is poorly set up - things fall out when there is a slight unevenness on the pavement
- Hard enough chassis/ride (little suspension)
- Impossible to position the child in the bassinet
- Canopy not big enough for both the pram and the pushchair setup, I need an extra sunshade
- We had to buy the buggy board only from the same brand, the universal one doesn't fit
- Not very good for tall people (I'm 180cm and the handle was quite close to the stroller, I had to take smaller steps and it was also low, so I walked hunched over 😞)
Overall, with my second child, I am finding all the shortcomings of this stroller, and while I still like the style, I would definitely choose a different model now.

More than enough strollers have passed through our house. This is the first one I really want to keep though. The push is great. I know ahead of time that the pushchair will be a Mutsy too.
- Nice to steer
- Low basket
- Not that much suspension
- Fading after half a year
A beautifully looking pram.
- Original design
- Easy to fold, everything simple
- Good handling
- Good push
- The foam wheels are pretty hard, so even for our small town we ended up buying the more off-road, inflatable ones
In our district, it's Camarelo everywhere. Mutsy is the choice of quality and design for me.
- Beautiful
- Compact
- Lightweight
- Can face both directions of travel
- Smaller bassinet
- Short canopy on the seat
- No suspension
- Narrower seat
Ideal for the mall or in town on good terrain. I have tried worse terrain and had a lot to do. The little one was shaking all over.
The design is very nice. We have foam wheels but they are rubberized. Quite capable. You can also buy inflatable ones.
- super solid chassis
- beautiful design
- the carrycot was spacious, enough for me - I could fit a 10-month-old baby in there
- quality fabric
- quite compact, even for a smaller car
- possibility to buy different accessories
- big wheels can handle even difficult terrain, I had bought inflatable wheels - absolutely great!
- short canopy on the seat
- open basket
This was our first, dream pram for our first child, so the review might be biased since I'm caught in emotional states 😁🤣... But no, no.
I rate the stroller well - it's super well build but has no suspension, which I didn't see as much of a problem. I bought the inflatable wheels and the ride was awesome.
The stroller is perfect until about 6 months, which is when your baby wants to snuggle out of the carrycot, but we didn't last long in it - we went to a seat at 5 months I think. And that's where the nerves started - the short canopy, nothing but the short canopy bothered me, as we were just in the middle of summer, it was all wrong.
- lightweight
- steers well
- nice-looking
- low-positioned seat
- short canopy
- the whole seat's canopy completely bad
- low basket
As a pram with a bassinet, it is very good. Lightweight, fairly compact, good looking, can handle even some worse urban terrain. But the seat part is absolutely terrible.
- handling and controllability is great
- turning the stroller in minimal space
- folds well and easily
- choice of colours, materials and colour combinations
- appearance
- not for the field
- accessories not included
- shorter canopy for some, but the child does not mind
The Mutsy Evo is a beautiful, stylish, urban stroller from a Dutch brand. Parents will appreciate its quality and its smooth handling. What I loved most about the stroller is how it can turn in minimal space, which really comes in handy. So, it's especially for the city, cafes/restaurants, shops; it can handle the terrain, but you'll work yourself up. You can latch the front wheels though and it goes much better. Even better if you buy inflatable rear wheels.
The bassinet is big for a baby up to about 8 months, with a winter foot muff up to about 6 months. The seat attachment can be positioned sitting and lying down, same with the footrest. The only thing that bothered me personally is the short canopy when it is lying down, but the baby always fell asleep peacefully. In sitting position it is sufficient.
Quite a big basket for shopping. I would put the stroller in the better middle class - not the most expensive, but not the cheapest either. The accessories are quite expensive, but it's up to you what you choose (raincover for sure!). Definitely a yes for me, unless you want to jog with the stroller and run around in the woods every day.
Your questions about the Mutsy Evo
Hi, again :)
Would you recommend this model or the Mamas and Papas Flip XT2 in terms of hood, folding down easily, space in the boot when folded, steering..? I have a bit of a dilemma as to which one to choose. Thank you.
Hey hey,
I personally would probably go for the Armadillo Flip XT2 if I were choosing. I think the Evo has a few advantages over it - a bit nicer, softer ride, very pleasant materials - however it also has a considerably shorter canopy and a smaller seat. It means it will last you a shorter time up to about 2 years of age of the child.
The Flip XT2 has a much larger seat, a larger canopy, and also folds flatter, even with the seat attached. If you don't mind a bit stiffer ride - a tad less suspension on the wheels of the Flip XT2, it will last you longer and will be more practical in a few aspects. It of course depends on what is your priority, it just feels to me that the Flip XT2 ticks more boxes - for urban use, though.
Hi, is there only one version Mutsy Evo model, please? I haven’t seen any video of folding down with seat attached but looking various reviews some buyers say it’s very easy with just using two buttons on the frame. I’m wondering if there are newer versions with such an easy folding system or there is just an original version already easy on that aspect. I would like to see a better demonstration of the folding with the attached seat, please.
Hiya, Ellie,
I am attaching a video with the folding with and without the seat, this one is an older one:
Then, the newer one suggests it is better to fold the removed seat (folding the seat is a newer feature, added about 6 years ago):
There are, of course, older and newer versions, as the collections are changing on a yearly basis, however, the folding function did not really change, at least not on the frame part. You need to recline the seat then use the two side levers to fold it with the seat, OR you need to remove the seat altogether.
Are all the parts sold separately? My son purchased the bassinet but it didn't include the legs or anything else for that matter.
Hi, Niki,
Legs in the bassinet? I am not sure I follow. If you mean the apron on the bassinet (carrycot), that is definitely included at all times with this pram, so the leg COVER you should have gotten, and if not, they forgot to give you that. Otherwise, the stroller is definitely sold so that not all is included. One usually buys the frame and the seat and a rain cover for the seat, and the bassinet with an apron is sold separately. Also, the UV/insect mesh, a changing bag, an apron for the seat are also sold separately, usually.
