Bugaboo Lynx
The Bugaboo Lynx is a new Bugaboo stroller to be released in October 2019. The Lynx is a hybrid of two currently most popular Bugaboo models - the iconic Cameleon and the versatile Fox. At the same time, it is the lightest full-sized model of the brand so far. Weighing only 9.4 kg, the Lynx leaves behind many "lightweight" strollers with a front-facing, fixed seat. Since it can only be purchased as a stroller (without a carrycot, which is also available separately), the Lynx is also relatively affordable (with a price tag below 1000 EUR/US Dollars).
The chassis features suspension and high-quality rubber wheels. The rear wheels are bigger than the front wheels, while the front wheels being significantly larger compared to the Cameleon's (smaller compared to the Fox, though). Another advantage is the elevated, foldable shopping cart and the telescopic handlebar, typical for Bugaboo. The surprising element, however, is the folding process - the stroller can be folded in one step. The chassis can be folded even with the seat attached, but only in the forward-facing mode.
Thanks to the side buttons, the minimalist, bucket-type seat unit can be easily reclined, offering three positions, including a lie-flat. The extendable, extra-large hood features a mesh viewing window, opening and closing silently. The fabrics of the seat unit and the carrycot are attached to the same frame; the carrycot fabrics are available separately. The seat and the carrycot share the same hood. The Bugaboo Turtle car seat by Nuna can be added to the Lynx even without any adapters - adapters for other car seat brands are available. There is also a wide range of optional accessories you can buy. The stroller also features integrated points for attaching the Bugaboo Comfort Wheelboard for a sibling to ride on.

Best Deals for Bugaboo Lynx
Parent reviews of the Bugaboo Lynx
- Lightweight
- HUGE canopy
- High maximum seat capacity
- Spring-loaded harness buckle
- Two-wheel ride (great for the beach)
- The seat is not small, just is not large enough for a 22kg child (as the maximum weight capacity says)
- The seat unit adjusts with BOTH hands (like on a Cameleon), which is unfortunate
- Not as many color to choose from (black or grey only)
- Smaller front wheels - so not too all-terrain
- Bulky fold (mainly with the seat attached)
It very lightweight, which I LOVE. I always wanted a BGB pram and chose the one that felt the best price-performance value. I am not disappointed.
The canopy is slightly lower than my friend's Fox we tried before getting the Lynx. Also, the recline is more difficult than the Fox's one. I only found three colors available (actually two, since the first two are black and black with a silver frame). I don't mind, I wanted a black one, but still...
Overall, the Lynx is definitely worth the money - so stylish and high-quality. You do compromise on a few feature by getting the more affordable model (compared to the Fox) - I mean, the larges niggle being the two-hand recline, but you get a nice Bugaboo anyway.
- stylish, high-quality pushchair
- the Fox is a better choice (this is too low, "too two-handed")
I thought I'm going to be savvy and buy the newer while more budget-friendly Bugaboo release, but I am sorry to say I mind the recline on the sides (it feels like needing three hands, not "just" two). I also mind the lower-positioned carrycot/seat (with the carrycot, it's hard to get to the basket space). The front wheels are smaller, which is not awesome, but they work on most terrains we encounter. Anyway, I am sorry I didn't get the Fox.
Your questions about the Bugaboo Lynx
Is the Chameleon 3 fabric compatible and how much should the handlebar move? My pram handles probably move about an inch each way - is this normal?
Thank you
Hello, Olly,
No, the Bugaboo Cameleon 3 Plus (nor any other Cam) fabrics are not compatible with the Lynx. The Lynx is compatible only with the Bugaboo Fox2 fabrics and canopies.
About the handlebar movement - yes, it is pretty normal for the handle to be a bit looser, it is a design helping not to break the stroller frame if there's some strain on it. On the other hand, an inch to each side is quite a lot of movement, that is already on the verge of not being as normal. In that case, I would contact the seller you got it at - orthe manufacturer, Bugaboo, directly, to ask about what steps you should take and if they find it normal. I suggest also making a video of how much it moves, upload it on YouTube, and send its URL as an attachment - so they can take a proper look at it.
Best of luck!
