The Bugaboo Fox 2 is a second generation of the versatile and popular [[bugaboo-fox|Bugaboo Fox], planned for 2020. The improved Fox features a redesigned, extendable hood with two extra-large viewing windows for ventilation. The updated wheels of the Fox 2 are now lighter and more agile. Thanks to changing the shape of the buttons, the folding system is more comfortable for a parent. The bumper bar can now be removed as well as gate-opened more easily.

All the advantages of the Bugaboo strollers are concentrated in the Fox, and the second generation is no different. The Fox 2 is lightweight like the Cameleon 3. Like the old Buffalo, its successor - the Fox 2 - can handle even a rougher terrain and is easily maneuverable everywhere. The suspension located in the central joint is inspired by the Runner. Moreover, the Fox 2 offers a rather compact fold too. Like the Donkey, the stroller comes with a height weight capacity of the seat unit (22 kg) as well as of the shopping basket (10 kg).

The Fox 2 will surprise you with the new, unique, and practical elements such as a simplified removing of the seat/carrycot fabrics or a handy, flip-flop-friendly brake with a color indicator engaged as well as deactivated by pushing. The straps of the five-point harness are stay-open style, which makes putting the child into the seat more manageable. The height of the belts can be easily adjusted by sliding, so there is no need to pull them out.

The environment-friendly fabrics of the carrycot and seat unit are made out of recycled PET bottles. They are added to the same frame, which can be easily clicked on the chassis. The ergonomically shaped bucket seat can be fully reclined by tilting. The seat is suitable for six months of age upwards. You can also use the Fox 2 from birth, with the spacious carrycot available separately or as a part of the set. The carrycot, in combination with an optional stand, can also be used as a cot. Using adapters, you can also attach an optional car seat to the stroller to create a newborn-friendly travel system. The new Bugaboo Turtle by Nuna can be added without the need for adapters. The Fox 2 features integrated attachment points so you can directly attach various available accessories such as the adapter for Bugaboo wheeled board with a sibling seat or the Bugaboo Mammoth Bag, which holds up to 12 kg.

The stroller is usually offered as a complete stroller system set (with carrycot). Alternatively, you can fully customize your Fox 2 by choosing the color of the chassis, fabrics, and hood from various editions. All of the parts are also available separately, giving you a chance to alternate the look of your stroller as you wish.

Starting from autumn 2021, the new generation, the Bugaboo Fox 3, is replacing the Bugaboo Fox 2.

This is the best stroller

5
  • low weight
  • driveability
  • space in the bassinet/seat
  • design
  • found nothing

Mr. stroller for us. This is the best stroller, and I have tried driving many stroller, even with those of my girlfriends...

  • Large front wheels
  • Super light
  • I got nothing... ;)

Absolutely perfect for the mountains as well as around town, even in our garden, it works...

Wish it had a one hand fold

  • Love how light it is to lift into a 4wd!
  • Very easy to push
  • Very easy to work- everything white has a function
  • The extra-large fold-out hood is excellent for sunny old Australia!!
  • Wish it had a one hand fold

Light to lift in the car.

So stylish and lightweight

4
  • stylish
  • lightweight
  • bulky fold
  • not a one-hand fold

I love it. So stylish and lightweight. Just bulky after folding, and the fold is not one handed.

I am a short mum (under 160 cm), and it feels like pushing a tractor. But it's not a fault of the stroller; it's just a bad fit. The design and quality are, anyway, really nice. The price is a bit too much, but for those being ok with that, a quality stroller with a luxury factor in it.

  • design
  • driveability
  • canopy
  • viewing window
  • handlebar - well made and with a wider range of heights than the Uppababy Vista has - so I am ok, and my tall hubby is ok with it as well
  • sibling board (w/seat) available
  • bulky fold
  • price
  • no individual leg rest adjustment

They say you can fold it even with the bassinet attached. Well, you can, but the package is really bulky, so I don't recommend doing that. The handlebar with plastics protruding to protect the PU leather handle is a nice small touch. I am welcoming the large peek-a-boo window that BGB finally added on the canopies, hooray! The driveability is great, and the overall quality of the stroller is also nice and visible. I would only make the fold easier (one-handed) and more compact, other than that, all is working well with me.

  • Large carrycot
  • Easy maneuvering
  • All-terrain

We started using it immediately after being released from the hospital. My DS was 2 weeks old at that time. I appreciate its capability to go through any terrain. The maneuvering is excellent, even with one hand.

  • Stylish
  • Good to push
  • High-quality
  • Perfect hood
  • Nice resale value for later
  • Spacious bassinet
  • Various accessories to choose from
  • Big when folded, takes up the whole boot
  • No one-hand folding
  • Not spacious enough for an older toddler (the seat could be larger)
  • Not that all-terrain as one would think
  • Everything is expensive, and much of it sold separately

Nice, but a bit expensive system where you need to buy a lot of things separately. If it's ok for your budget and your boot is large, it's a modern-mum must-have starter option.

Very very expensive. Not as all-terrain. I liked the Buffalo I owned with my first much more. But it's a Bugaboo. Not bad, obviously.

I love everything about it, maybe except for the not-as-compact fold. Fully recommending it.

Your questions about the Bugaboo Fox 2

1)

Hi,

Thanks for the reviews here. I'm looking for a travel system with an overnight bassinet and deciding between the Uppababy Cruz and Bugaboo Fox 2. How do the bassinets for the two brands compare?

Thanks!
Vivian and Javi

Hey there, guys!

Well, you picked two incredibly good strollers and stroller brands. Between these two, you actually can't make a bad decision, really!

If I was comparing the bassinets only, however, I would probably go for the Bugaboo. The reason is simple - it is larger, so it will last you longer. Also, I like that its canopy is of a cleaner design, but that is just a personal preference - the Uppababy Cruz's proving ample sun coverage as well thanks to the sun visor.

Overall, if I can add something into the decision-making, the just-released Bugaboo Fox 3 is also worth mentioning here since its carrycot now features the panoramic/ventilation window on the base as well, so even more airflow for the overnight sleeps (which is always better). Aaand for the sake of the Cruz, I will say that it is a wee bit smaller/more compact (also thanks to the smaller wheels) so if you don't need a kind-of all-terrain-wheels stroller but an urban one will do, the Cruz might be what you should be looking at.
