Riko Brano Ecco

The Rico Brano Ecco is a variation of the Riko Brano with elements of light eco-leather that is a contrast to the bold colored and structured fabrics. It is an affordable stroller system with a chassis equipped with a dual suspension system. Thanks to the air-filled wheels, the Brano Ecco can handle even demanding terrain. The oval, plastic carrycot is quite spacious and can be inclined. The seat unit is smaller and can be reclined fully. Both the carrycot and the seat unit are reversible. By adding the optional car seat, the basic 2in1 stroller system can be transformed into a travel system. The Brano Ecco comes with a wide range of essential accessories including winter hand muffs for parents.

Parent reviews of the Riko Brano Ecco
- driveability
- appearance
- practicality
- more complicated opening of the canopy on the seat
My experience with the stroller is very good. We have crossed even more difficult terrains, the large practical basket under the stroller a huge plus, reliable chassis even with a larger child. Nice look of the carriage even after longer use.
It's perfect.
- Large carry cot
- Inflatable wheels
- Storage basket
- Narrow seat unit
- Heavy chassis
A great pram, I wouldn't change my decision.
- Perfect in all aspects 😄
- None
A great pram.
- Large bassinet
- The seat unit is very impractical - narrow, and the canopy falls down, it looks ugly. It's a lot of work to put it into a sitting position and back into a lying position
Satisfaction at 50 percent.
- Car seat
- Lightness
- Manipulation
- Colour
- Wheels
- Too large/bulky
Too large. Chassis is unstable, at a fast step the front wheels oscillate. The car seat is great.
Very practical, easy to push and disassemble.
- Inflatable, rubber, classic wheels are great for handling and all terrains
- Car seat is nice
- The bassinet is ideal for summer babies because it's spacious for winter, when baby still needs a bassinet, but is already bigger
- Seat unit is very large, impractical
- Stroller takes up a lot of space in the trunk of the car
For our first stroller, ok. But I wouldn't buy again.
I have a stroller of this brand and we broke off the adjustment lever under the carrycot. So I called the owner of the shop and asked him to help and repair this part. The owner was very nice and helpful, he even sent me this part for free... He didn't ask for anything in return, which is something you just don't see nowadays. His courtesy, helpfulness and quick action were very cordial and therefore I owe a big thank you to him.
- Color
- The cover cannot be removed and washed in the washing machine
Reasonable price, but I would have expected more.
Your questions about the Riko Brano Ecco
Hello
I have some question regarding the price as you called it a cheaper brand. In France it cost more than 600 euros so does this pram is a cheaper brand as we have many good brand which cost around 300 -400 euros.
Is this brand good or bad? As I like the design but is it worthy to spend 600 euros to buy it?
Thanks
Hey, Faisha,
The brand is Polish, and the closer you get to Poland, the cheaper this one will be (can be about 300-400 EUR). What you pay (in France) is higher because of the importing costs, taxes and transportation.
With this particular pram, you may love the carrycot as as a Polish model, it has a really big one (Polish rams are often like that). However, if you are looking for value as a system (set with a seat and perhaps also a car seat), the whole 3in 1 or 2in1 set won't be worth it - the seat is tiny, space-wise, while bulky to store, and the car seat not tested well enough. So I personally would not get this, especially if you want to use the seat as well. The carrycot, for the first 5-8 months, would be nice, but all else is not worth it in my opinion.
Hi,
I am looking for a replacement hood for the car seat in the white please and the matching bag, please. I also need a replacement hood for the car seat in white and grey and also the matching bag can you tell me the price as well, please, thank you.
Hi, Jo,
We don't sell anything on Strollberry, we only provide help and info as well as we can. I cannot help you with spare parts as I don't have any, and with these cheaper Polish prams, it is super hard to get them. Still, here's an article I put together with all I would suggest when looking for spare/replacement parts for a stroller, so be sure to rad that one. Good luck!
Please, can you tell me if all the covers are removable for washing (including the ones on the pushchair attachment). Also, are there any stores that stock these travel systems so I can see if it's the right one for me?
Thank you
Hi, jc,
Well, the INTERNAL carrycot textiles are removable and washable - this is rather normal. About the seat unit, you CAN remove the fabrics but I wouldn't recommend washing them in a machine. I mean, there are eco-leather parts, and they might crack. Also, these cheaper prams are prone to fading, and the washing in the machine might help it get worse.
So, overall, the inside covers of the carrycot, YES. The seat unit covers, NO - here, only spot clean or hand wash should be applicable if you want to keep your stroller system in good condition.
Read more about stroller cleaning and maintenance to know more and inspire yourself as to how to clean your stroller effectively and relatively easily.
About the system itself, this is a Polish brand that is not widely available at stores everywhere. If there's no Riko brand seller around you, then you'll probably not see it IRL. The carrycot itself is quite nice and large, even if simple, but the seat, be aware of that, is quite small, narrow, and short, on this one. So it won't last you that well. To add to it, do count on this system to be quite large, heavy, and bulky after folding, so it will need a big car boot.
Hi,
Something happened to the front wheels when you drive they start moving in all directions what to do? When you block them then you just go straight and almost no longer move?
Hi, Simona,
This is a pretty regular problem with these cheaper Polish prams. It means the wheels have an internal problem and this cannot be repaired, really. You can either push your stroller system ONLY with fixed wheels (yes, they won't rotate at all like that, meaning turning will be happening by lifting the front part then turning the whole frame)... or contact the seller you got your pram at or the manufacturer, the Riko brand, directly - here's the Riko customer service contact.
Again, you can't repair this, it's damaged inside. I am sorry to say this but yes, it happens. Do try to claim your warranty.
Hi,
I have the buggy for a year but I never try to fold it down; now I need to fold it because I will travel with it but I can’t, something is wrong. Please help me with that. And I want to order the same rain cover - how can I do that?
Hello, Marina,
To fold your pram down, you need to remove the bassinet or seat unit from the frame. Then, after pulling the two plastic side levers up, you need to start folding the frame. Here's a video showing the Riko Brano fold. If it doesn't work like that, there will be something broken and you should claim your warranty or have it repaired by a distributor of this brand and model. You won't be able to repair it just so - maybe only try lubricating it. Here's our guide to stroller cleaning and maintenace to help you out a bit with the small maintenance tasks.
About the rain cover, you can either, as I already said, contact any seller/distributor of this brand in your area (ideally that where you bought the pram) and ask to order the rain cover as a spare part. If this is not applicable to your situation, try and look for universal rain covers, e.g., here on Amazon. Do choose one that is larger since your system is rather robust.
Hi,
I have had the Riko Ecco Brano for a few months, and I am currently having issues folding it. I mean the frame itself. I have tried my best to fold it but to no avail. This has made it unfit for purpose. Pls, what do you suggest I do.
Thanks
Hello, after a few months, the folding system should surely still work just fine. If it doesn't, I would first file a complaint and claimed my warranty with the seller you got it from. For how exactly does it fold, check the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AawUa4sVeEc in about 9:55 min., but I am guessing you are doing it like this already. That would mean that there is something broken in the internal mechanism of the folding system, most probably the cable loosening the securing locks.
Where I can buy accessories, like a nappy bag or a mosquito net, for the Riko Brano Ecco pram?
Hello, most accessories are included in the price of the Riko Brano Ecco set. If you bought a pre-loved one or for some reason didn't have them anymore, you have two options. One would be contacting a seller of this brand in your country, and asking if he could order you these as a kind of "spare parts" - that is, if you want these accessories to be from Riko. My other choice - and I would actually go for this one preferably - would be to buy universal accessories that fit most prams. More luxury things like those from Elodie Details or Bjallra, or more affordable options like Pinkie, Summer Infant, etc., or others, are the things to look at, and these companies offer anything ranging from a rain cover to a changing (mommy) bag.
Hello, I was wondering if someone could help me with a query. Can the Brano Ecco use any other make isofix base please?
Hello, the Isofix base to the Riko Brano Ecco depends on the car seat you are using. If you already have one (for example, their brand), you can only use the Isofix base that is made for it and is therefore compatible. If you are, however, only choosing a car seat for your system, get the Maxi-Cosi type adapters and any preferred car seats of the better brands: Maxi-Cosi, Cybex, Kiddy, Joie, Nuna, Recaro... and each car seat will have their own Isofix base available. You can even be choosing depending on the base, taking into account what you want it to do and how you need it to function.
