Peg-Pérego Book S
The Peg-Pérego Book S (also known as the Book Plus S) is a superior version of the Book Plus line. The chassis is almost identical with the chassis of the inferior Book Plus, difference being the leatherette handlebar, the rear Soft Ride wheels with tire tread suitable for occasional all-terrain use and the front wheels locking mechanism located on the side of the chassis, eliminating the need to bend. The Book S and the Book 51 chassis also can be fitted the optional bigger, all-terrain wheels with tire tread. The Pop Up seat can be reclined flat, including the leg rest. The hood features a strap for attaching a favorite toy. It is quite short in its basic form, but it can be extended by opening another panel, and can also be used as a follow-the-sun shield.
If you choose the Sportivo version of the Book S, all the accessories have to be purchased separately. However, the Completo version comes with an apron included. You also have an option to purchase only the chassis and then add either the optional seat, the Navetta carrycot or the Primo Viaggio car seat. Alternatively, the Book S can be purchased in one of the modular stroller systems: Elite, Pop Up or XL.
The lightweight aluminum chassis is equipped with a suspension system as well as a shaped handlebar. Thanks to the wheels with suspension and 12 ball bearings, the steering is by 30% easier compared to similar strollers. The stroller can be folded one-handedly the way a book does, hence the name. Another advantage of this stroller is the large shopping basket with easy load system, meaning that the rear part can be folded down.

Parent reviews of the Peg-Pérego Book S
The most awesome. I am very satisfied.
- lightweight
- compact
- the Navetta XL bassinet is perfect (I also like the venting on the bottom)
- large basket
- soft wheels of the Book Plus S series
- overall nice to look at
- I am also very satisfied with the car seat
- I can only give the seat a plus in that it can be reclined and facing both directions
- the construction is metal, but where there are plastics it started to squeak after a while, which may bother some people. I personally got used to it and I don't notice it anymore
- it is not cushioned, but I knew that when I bought it, so it's just a reaction to other reviews. I personally don't mind - I knew what I was buying
- the seat is a disappointment for me - I find the footrest unstable, and the canopy could have been better designed too. It also bothered me when folding the chassis
- price
I have a Peg-Pérego Book Plus S Completo. I am quite happy with the stroller although it has its faults, so it doesn't deserve 10 points. I'm very happy with the XL bassinet and the car seat, but they didn't do a great job with the seat part.
I'm on my second child = second time with this stroller and it's absolutely top for me. It's compact, nice and lightweight. I definitely recommend it! 😍
- Lightweight
- Compact
- One-handed folding
- Easy handling
- Soft wheels
- Large basket
- Good looking
- Superb car seat
- Navetta XL bassinet - positioning + ventilation
- Reversible (car seat, seat, and cot) in both directions
- Squeaks occasionally
Absolutely top stroller. I had a Cybex Priam after this stroller and I have to say I missed this stroller a lot as I was used to it.
- light
- compact
- easy to fold
- reversible seat for both forward and reverse direction
- can be put in the reclining position
- large basket
- the ventilation window in the stroller is not very well placed in summer - the baby gets the sun in his eyes when he is lying down
- it has unbraked itself several times
- design
Lightweight stroller suitable for the city and off-road. Who often travels will appreciate the easy folding and the fact that the stroller stands on its own.
- one-hand chassis folding
- space saving
- looks comfortable
- spacious
- almost no suspension
- even a small curb is a problem
Easily foldable, fits in the trunk just fine. Used in the city but due to poor suspension it has a problem with curbs and on damaged road where it goes to the side and rattles. I would pick another one next time around.
- light
- folds beautifully
- relatively large basket
- it rattles a lot
- the handle is strangely curved
The stroller is light and easy to handle. It folds nicely into the car. Unfortunately it has very hard wheels making the stroller rattle so badly.
The handle is oddly curved and sometimes it bothers me, but because the stroller is light it can be steered with one hand in the middle.
- easy to fold
- spacious bassinet
- safe car seat
- easy clicking-on the frame
- parent- and world-facing seat unit
- nice ventilation in the summer - there are mesh parts on the canopy
- roomy storage space
- easy, one-hand manipulation
- adjustable handlebar
- nice urban pushchair to get in the car, go shopping, etc.
- rattles on bumpy surfacesm the frame got loose and wobbled
- weird putting on the leg cover
- I missed a sun visor on the canopy in the summer
I was happy with it at first, but the chassis started to be loose too soon, in my opinion, and the pushchair became wobbly on bumpy roads, cobblestones, dirt roads, etc.
- easy, one-hand fold
- comfortable
- lightweight
- easy to clean
- not much of a suspension
An ideal urban stroller - if you only go (anywhere) in the city. It is very easy to clean, which is a big advantage. It is also very easy to fold, which is especially useful for women 🙂
Your questions about the Peg-Pérego Book S
Hey, Me,
As far as I know, the Book S and the Book Plus have a similar seat width and attachment system, so they, perhaps, could be interchangeable. Ideal is to tr, though, as I never tried, and there are no official statements on this.
The Book seat is not reversible and cannot be swapped with any other model.
