Peg-Pérego Book Cross

see 5 parent reviews

The Peg-Pérego Book Cross is an all-terrain three-wheeler that can be occasionally used for light jogging. The non-reversible seat is spacious and can be fully reclined. The seat comes equipped with the G-Matic system - the integrated attachment points that can be pulled out, enabling you to add the Primo Viaggio car seat to the stroller to create a travel system from birth, no adapters needed. You can take the seat off the chassis and replace it with one of the carrycots, either the Navetta XL, the Navetta Elite or the Navetta Pop-Up.

The lightweight aluminum chassis is equipped with a suspension system as well as a shaped handlebar. Thanks to the wheels with suspension and 8 ball bearings, the steering is by 30% easier compared to similar strollers. The stroller can be folded one-handedly the way a book does, hence the name. Another advantage of this stroller is the large shopping basket with easy load system, meaning that the rear part can be folded down.

parents say thx^^

I consider the wheels to be the biggest advantage, the stroller is suitable for any terrain :) Great manipulation even with one hand. Large basket under the stroller. We are very satisfied and the stroller is beautiful!

Easy to handle

4
  • Lightweight
  • Easy to use
  • Spacious
  • Timeless design
  • High quality
  • Stability

The stroller is not heavy so it is easy to handle. My daughter is pushed in it by my nephew and he has no problem with the handling of the stroller.

It has a spacious basket to store things like groceries, which I appreciate because I no longer have to take any bag. It has a spacious bassinet as well as the seat. The only downside of the stroller is less stability than a stroller with 4 wheels. However, this may also be a problem of incompetence of the one who controls the stroller 🤷🏻‍♀️🙂

  • Spacious even for bigger toddlers
  • Stable - nothing wobbles
  • Easy to operate with one hand
  • Adjustable up to a lying position
  • Hand brake
  • All rubber wheels
  • Easily foldable

Excellent quality pushchair. Nothing rattles, it is wonderfully stable, very spacious (without problems fits even a 2 year old baby with a footmuff), it is also easy to control with 1 hand. It has high quality rubber wheels on which you will never get a puncture, great hand brake (you can use it to brake when going downhill, or to brake the stroller completely - so you don't have to ruin your shoes like on other strollers) :-) I've had 3 pushchairs, but this one is just really the BEST one :-)

  • Easy folding
  • Very easy to handle
  • Lightweight
  • The child is well protected even in bad weather
  • I also find the pushchair comfortable for napping - it is almost level
  • I would have expected better suspension, since it is already in the name CROSS, grass it handles well but cobbles in the city, quite badly
  • Quite early on, the color fading was noticeable (Denim Blue color)
  • The pushchair is only facing in the direction of travel - which I think most three wheelers are

We really liked the stroller for its sporty look. I find the price quite reasonable. It was very nice to ride in, but we ran into a problem with the pushchair only being rear-facing. I figured it wouldn't matter, but unfortunately my son would then turn around to see me over the side for the most part of the walk - and would not want to ride with the canopy covering him.

  • The best is probably the handbrake
  • Rubber wheels
  • Plenty of room for the baby
  • None

If you want a stroller for any environment and terrain, this is the one. For sport, for the woods, but also for parades in the city and the mall. You can see and feel the quality. We had many strollers in our family, but this one is the one.

Your questions about the Peg-Pérego Book Cross

1)

Can you use the Peg Perego Book Cross for jogging?

Hi, Stan,

Even if three-wheelers are often called "jogging strollers", they normally have to have a longer (and often also wider) base and a strengthened frame to be actually suitable for jogging/sports. I checked the manual of this model, and it literally says "WARNING: This product is not suitable for running or skating." (pic attached:)

So no, the Peg-Pérego Book Cross is not suitable for sports, only normal, walking use.

2)

When out for a walk the front wheel started wobbling. I stopped, it seemed fine for a few minutes and started wobbling again. Help?

HIya, Margie,

With Peg-Pérego Book line, this is rather normal. YOu cannot do much about it, perhaps only sealing rubbers in the wheel joints could help a bit, but it is a problem the Book wheels develop very often. It is, unfortunately, an urban line of strollers.

You can also try to claim warranty on your pushchair, but I cannot guarantee they'll do something about that.
