Mutsy Nexo
The Mutsy Nexo is a modern stroller with an L-shaped chassis based on the superior, full-sized IGo. Compared to the IGo, the Nexo is more compact before as well as after folding - a perfect companion for urban walks. Another advantage is the spacious and accessible shopping basket.
The backrest of the front-facing seat can be reclined sufficiently deep even for small babies, practically from birth. Thanks to the strap mechanism, the backrest can be set to various positions using just one hand. By operating the push button in the center, the leg rest can be adjusted too. Your newborn can also travel in the car seat that can be added to the stroller using adapters.

Parent reviews of the Mutsy Nexo
- Design
- Fabrics, materials
- Compactness
- Foam wheels
- Higher price
The pushchair itself is fine... I really liked the design, but I think the price they offer it for is a bit too high... Terrain like a dirt road it will pass, but it's more of a stroller for the city - not for terrain, as it has foam wheels that after two days looked like we'd been walking with it for half a year...
- Large canopy
- Lightweight
- Easy to use
- A great system for placing the backrest in a lie-flat position that offers a lot of possibilities
- Large basket
- It is not necessary to buy an additional bar
- Price
- No ventilation
We have had this pram since the child was nine months old, he is now a year and a half old and we use them mostly for city driving and possibly if we come across a macadam road, which it tolerates very well.
It is lightweight, agile, easy to use, has an extendable handle bar, and a backrest that has an excellent system for lowering it to a lying position, and a footrest that can be lowered with one click. There's a large basket that can handle some five pounds safely.
It is easy to assemble and does not take up much space.

Great pushchair. It is perfect to ride around the city, but we also managed the mountains with it. It's bigger than most strollers, so it's easy to maneuver, whether traveling or shopping. At the same time, it has leg positioning and enough space for sleeping. The stroller feels smaller for me, although many people write that it is big... For me big looks different 😲😉😅 Standard shopping load always fit in. The window on the roof is also great.
- Design
- Compactness
- Weight
- Sturdy chassis with good suspension
- Soft seat padding
- Easy recline system + lie-flat seat
- Good basket accessibility
- Wheels with thread
- Two-hand folding with more steps
- The handlebar is still a wee bit too low even in the highest position
- No peek-a-boo window, no ventilation
- A very difficult fabrics removal
- Some parts get to look used very quickly (handlebar, wheels)
A perfect pushchair for traveling and an occasional light terrain.
I was looking at it for quite some time before buying it, and, in the end, decided to buy a used one. It was used for about 1,5 year, and I was a little surprised that the PU leather handlebar started to peel off a bit, and the wheel bearings were completely KO. But I must say I don't know how it was handled and maintained over time, so no judgment there.
The biggest advantage for me is the compactness - it fits every car boot, and it's reasonably lightweight. The push is super nice, even with a larger child. The fold is in more steps, and you need both your hands, but that's not hard to get used to. The chassis feels sturdy, and I was surprised how soft the suspension is - I would only wish that the handle would go higher up. I, 167 cm, had it in the highest setting, but my 180cm husband was unhappy that it's a bit low for him.
The seat is narrower, maybe, than other in this category, but my 3yo daughter had no problem sitting in it (of course, no need for additional space-takers as a footmuff) ;-) The seat is also quite comfy, the smallest one was happy in it, and she often took naps, since it lays flat. The recline system uses a strap, meaning there is an infinite number of positions to choose from, while it's still made to be one-handed, going up practically without using any force.
The canopy can be extended, but it doesn't cover fully in all the situations. I missed a peek-a-boo window and a ventilation option. The basket is fine for the type of the category, we managed to put there a lot of stuff, and the access is perfect, actually.
The wheels are made out of EVA foam - like on other travel strollers. The size is adequate, and the wide thread allows you to go through occasional uneven terrain.
I would like to state a disadvantage, maintenance-wise. To remove the fabrics is super hard, taking me about an hour, and later on the same goas for putting it back up. My fingers got hurt while doing that, too. And I owned multiple pushchairs already, so I can compare,
Overall, I rate it well. I was happy with it. I think it's a good option for those that don't need to tackle mountain terrain or don't use the pushchair for a large toddler naps :-D All the others will be ok with it even as the only pushchair.
- Easy pushing
- Easy folding
- Foam wheels which DON'T rattle
- Extendable hood

A perfect stroller, I have no complaints 🔝💯
- beautiful
- quality chassis, materials
- good suspension system
- great folding system
- excellent driveability
- I found no cons
I have nothing to complain about. It's very handy, compact, beautiful, and it pushes so smoothly. My son adores it, and my husband claims that it's the best stroller we had.
Your questions about the Mutsy Nexo
Greetings!
I have a question about ventilation.
Namely, I haven't paid attention so far, but here's how the warmer days started, I'm interested in when I decide to let my son sleep in them, whether due to the firm fabric and lack of some ventilation mesh, I can let the child sleep in them, say in the park or on the beach.
Of course, I would always look for shade, but I'm interested in whether there is air inside when they are in a completely lying position, and with the roof stretched out.
I apologize for the lengthy question,
thanks in advance for the reply

Pozdrav!
Imam pitanje u vezi ventilacije.
Hi, Mel,
Of course, hot temperatures can be dangerous for adults and small children alike. Ventilation is a good thing, but I wouldn't overthink it as there is always airflow in the stroller, as the front is always open. Never let your child closed in, e.g. by covering the stroller with a blanket fully, and if you let the baby sleep IN THE SHADE (never in direct sunlight), while keeping an eye on him/her, it is absolutely fine. Always use your own heart and brain, and if in a shade while not being absolutely extremely hot, it is actually healthy to sleep outside. Just be careful not to cover everything – especially with smaller kids!
Also worth mentioning are the sweat-absorbent, cooling seat liners that even more promote air-flow – e.g. Aeromoov.
I want to buy the Mutsy Nexo, but really want a peek a boo window. I read online that they are going to start making them with the window. Is this true? If so, where can I find one? I live in New Zealand.
Hi, alison4101!
The Mutsy Nexo is, indeed, already available with a viewing window. This is only true for some colorways: to be precise, the Moss Grey Melange, Blueberry Melange, Deep Forest Melange, Ash Melange, and Deep Khaki Melange were in 2020 made with a peek-a-boo window. The Concrete Melange and the Blue Melange variations DO NOT have a window to look through at your baby.
What I would surely do would be to contact a shop in New Zealand and ask them if - and which - colors do they have that feature such a viewing window. Mutsy's actually awesome with the windows - if it's there, it's large and very well made; I was trying it out myself!
I only found the Globalbaby shop, so you can try them - call or email first 😊 Also worth checking out Amazon, eBay, and other global platforms that do ship to New Zealand if you really want this exact model - and they wouldn't have what you need.
My other advice would be to check similarly functioning (and stylish) pushchairs like the Babystyle's Oyster Zero or the Thule Spring.
Good luck!
