Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 Double

The Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 Double is an improved version of the all-terrain sibling stroller City Mini GT Double, derived from the single City Mini GT2. The City Mini GT2 Double is suitable for twins or siblings with a small age gap. Wheels of the City Mini GT2 Double will handle an occasional off-road ride thanks to the foam-filled, no maintenance tires and an improved rear and front suspension. Various pockets in the hood and the backrest are expanding the storage capacity of this tandem stroller.

Your questions about the Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 Double

1)

I live in an area where I do a lot of walking uphill and the terrains are quite uneven, lots of uneven ground etc. Seeing at the weight is 16kg, would this stroller be a viable option (would there be an option that you would this is more suitable?)

Hey, Charlie,

Yes, I would say this is a good choice. Sturdy, stable, with not huge but chunkier wheels, I personally would probably opt for this one, yeah.

An interesting all-terrain double option could also be the Mountain Buggy Duet (larger wheels, but a bit smaller seats), or the TFK double strollers, e.g. the TFK Duo - super versatile and all-terrain, however much heavier and larger (and also pricier).

Hello! The website says the width is 77.5 and I understand UK doors are less than 77cm wide. Does this fit through most UK standard doors?

Hey, Joanna,

Strollberry is an international site, and the most common door size (width) we've got used to comparing the strollers to was about 32 inches (80 cm), which this stroller works with ok.

UK, or the part of it where you live, can have it differently, and when choosing the stroller, you have to count that in. I found this table, where the red highlights are the most common UK door sizes:

If from your experience, the dorways you normally go through are 76.2 cm wide (30"), then the stroller won't fit unless left in front of the door, the kids being taken out, and then folded. There's always a way, but it can be not as comfy, so you may want to look at a different double stroller if those narrower doorways are the case where you live. E.g. the Valco Snap Duo is 75 cm wide, or the Baby Monsters Easy Twin is about 65 cm wide - however, count on the fact that the narrower the stroller, the narrower (less roomy, more cramped) the seats are. It's always a compromise.

I have the single but now I have a second baby and I’m thinking about the double. What is the seat width compared to the single GT2? Thank you

Hey, Sunny,

For a side-by-side double, the City Mini GT2 DOuble is super solid - definitely wider than most in the category. The seat width is about 32 cm, in any case it is spacious enough even for a 3yo.

Hi,

Is the seat of this stroller wider than the seat of the Britax B-Agile Double stroller?
Which is suitable for the age of a child of 4 years or more in terms of the size of the seat?

Hey, yasameen,

The seats are indeed a bit wider on the City Mini Double GT2, compared with the B-Agile Double, but it is comparable, width-wise. I personally would say the City Mini GT2 Double more suitable for such a larger toddler not only space-wise but because the frame is sturdier and won't get loose or wobble as much with a larger toddler. But you have to be prepared that a 4 years old will never have as much space as a younger child, especially in a double pram.
