Valco Baby Snap Duo

The simple&practical side-by-side foldable with a snap

see 13 parent reviews

The Valco Baby Snap Duo is a sibling/twin version of the well-known Snap suitable for twins or siblings with a small age gap. The Snap Duo is ultra-lightweight yet stable enough due to the double front wheels. As there is no suspension on the wheels, the stroller is best used for less demanding city walks. Like the other Snap models, you can fold the Snap Duo very quickly, with the seats folding inwards so they don't get dirty in the car.

The fabric on the non-reversible seats is easy to look after. You can purchase the colorful hoods to add to the basic black seats to make the desired color combination. The premium Tailormade version features color-coordinated seat fabric and the hood. The backrests and leg rests can be individually adjusted, suitable even for smaller babies. Optional newborn safety aprons are also available. In order to maximize the comfort of the babies from birth, you can add up to two carrycots or use the newborn inserts instead. Using corresponding adapters, one car seat can be added to the chassis.

parents say thx^^
  • Positionable
  • Lightweight
  • Foldable
  • Can rattle
  • Something in it seems to crackle

Super stroller, despite the width of only 75 cm it is very spacious for children. Adjustable back and legs, large, airy canopy.

The obvious choice

5
  • Lightweight
  • Compact
  • Easy to fold and unfold
  • Spacious
  • Large basket
  • Large canopies
  • Fits everywhere
  • We found nothing

We had already tried the Valco as a mono stroller, so with twins it was the obvious choice 😉.

  • Great handling
  • Really gets through 80cm doors
  • Spacious
  • Folds well
  • No problem to drive up the kerb on the pavement :)
  • Price
  • Nothing

I got it for my siblings 2 years apart. For the little one a Hauck insert soft bag, and I used it with the inflatable wheels from mono Valco.

For me it's great. I originally considered other and more expensive strollers, but I'm glad I ended up choosing this one. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. I have tried worse forest park road + city cobblestones and absolutely no problem. It handles great. For me, a yes.

I was very pleasantly surprised

4
  • the stroller is lightweight
  • can be folded in one piece and fits in a mini suitcase
  • mesh at the back of the child's head - ventilation in the heat
  • a window in the top of the canopy where you can check on the children
  • lots of backrest positions, from lying down to full sitting
  • Tailormade handlebar cover included
  • canopy extension
  • leg positioning
  • spacious storage basket
  • aprons included
  • the parent handle cannot be positioned, it is only in one, fixed position
  • it suits my height (166 cm), but my husband (178 cm) said he'd like it the handle higher
  • rain covers are not included
  • it is not possible to turn the children to face the parent

We bought the Valco Baby Snap Duo Tailormade.

Today we tested the stroller in real world and so I decided to write some of my observations and impressions of the model.

We have the version with basic wheels. You can also buy (for an extra cost) inflatable ones, which are supposed to have better driving characteristics. There are even two options for the twins - all black or Tailormade (grey and blue). We opted for the Tailormade version because I like the material better 😊 However, it is more expensive than the black version. And even that black one can be beautifully tweaked :)

If I had to sum it up, I was very pleasantly surprised by the stroller - especially its lightness and steering. I was worried at first that I wouldn't be able to see the kids, but it wasn't so. It is possible to check on the children through the windows in the canopies. The girls also enjoyed the stroller and napped nicely in it, so I can recommend it for us.

Absolutely perfect

5
  • Excellent, excellent, excellent
  • Light
  • Wide for children
  • I get everywhere without any problems
  • Easy to fold
  • One-handed steering
  • Child positioning is perfect (lie-flat)
  • Perfect canopy, very large (protection against rain, sun...)
  • Child restraint belts easy to close and open
  • Large basket, beautifully accessible even when the children are lying down
  • The handle is not adjustable, but it is suitable for 180cm height
  • Brake is not on the handle

I only have the pushchair. An absolutely perfect stroller.

Lots of pockets on the back of the stroller

4
  • Back and leg positioning
  • Basket
  • Easy folding
  • Lightweight
  • Bad aprons

A great basket - large, easy to access even when the kids are lying down. Lots of pockets on the back of the stroller.

Ventilation when kids are lying down. Reclining positions - as you like. Leg positioning. Large canopies.

Easy folding.

The only thing that sucks are the footrests. They fall down.

The best stroller for twins

5
  • weight
  • none

The best stroller for twins. It is finally being offered with baby bassinets and one doesn't have to use just the insert soft cots.

Great stroller for two babies

4
  • Easy to push
  • Easy to fold
  • Lightweight compared to other Duos/Twin strollers
  • Great canopies
  • Quality stroller. I pushed this stroller over 100 miles and it has fully held up.
  • The magnetic window on top doesn't work with the canopy fully open

Great stroller for twins or two babies.

  • Large hood
  • Long seat
  • High load capacity
  • Belly bars and aprons included (for Tailormade version)
  • Low weight
  • Easy handling
  • Separate and full backrest and legrest positioning
  • Reasonable price
  • No suspension
  • No handle adjustment
  • Foam wheels
  • The hood lets in the wind

I was very reluctant to pick this stroller. The many complaints and complaints about the brake in a certain group on a social network discouraged me greatly. Due to my requirements and from my point of view a rather poor selection of strollers for twins, I finally just bought it new in the Tailormade Grey Marle version.

The main requirements were high carrying capacity, long and wide seat surface with full and separate leg and back positioning. I don't accept any handmade tweaks to modify the stroller's features. A long hood with windows and, if possible, belly bar(s) and aprons included, at a very friendly price. Inflatable wheels would be a nice plus. And of course, the lowest weight possible, as 2 kids can be quite a handful.

Of the above criteria, the Valco Duo actually meets everything except the wheels. The kids have plenty of room in it and are also protected by the long hoods. The independent positioning guarantees them comfort both when sleeping and sitting. The stroller is easy to handle, and when folded it fits into a smaller suitcase. I miss the inflatable wheels, which are not officially produced for the duo version, and also the suspension, which in my opinion is completely absent, making the stroller hard. Maybe I'm just spoiled from previous Polish prams. I also found over time that the back of the hood is narrow, and therefore it gets blown under in stronger winds. Also, there are gaps in the top center between the canopies through which it blows in.

Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised by this stroller. It meets the basic requirements of an urban mom for whom the comfort of the children is a priority.

Recommended to any twin mum

Recommended to any twin mum. Lightweight, easy to fold, not too wide. Superb.
