Valco Baby Snap 4 Sport
The Valco Baby Snap 4 Sport is an ultra-lightweight four-wheel stroller with a high weight capacity based on the basic Snap. The Sport model also features all-terrain wheels with air-filled tires that make it higher by 1 cm, longer by 2 cm and heavier by 1.4kg compared to the basic model. It is called the Snap because of the quick, inward fold. Although the models intended for the western market can be released by pushing the button, hence folded by one hand, the eastern have to be released by lifting and holding the locking latch.
The fabric on the non-reversible seat is easy to look after. You can purchase the colorful hoods to add to the basic black seat to make the desired color combination. The grey version, as well as the premium version called Tailormade, features color-coordinated seat fabric and the hood. The backrest can be reclined sufficiently even for smaller babies. Since 2015, the Snap 3 features an adjustable leg rest. The carrycot and the adapters for the car seat are also available to provide comfort for newborns. There is also an option to use the Valco newborn insert instead of the carrycot.

Parent reviews of the Valco Baby Snap 4 Sport
- Lightweight
- Compact
- Practical
- Large enough basket
- Can be washed in its entirety
- Full lie-flat position
- With inflatable wheels, it can be pushed over anything
- No adjusting of the handle height
The stroller is really great. I'm not afraid to ride over whatever with it, it seems to survive everything and every terrain. The little one is not bumped over in it and he likes it very much.
The Tailormade version looks very nice and tasteful, so the look is great too. I also appreciate the lightness, the practicality and how the stroller is compact.
The only thing that could be added to it would be an adjustable handle height, and the handle could also be wider. For me it's ok though, I'm 158cm and I think it's still a bit better for taller people. I bought it mainly because of the inflatable wheels option and the window in the canopy, which none of my previous strollers had. I just need to see my little one. Plus, if I open the canopy completely, I can see all of him. I'm honestly thrilled with it.
- Lightweight
- Compact
- Easy to fold
- I don't have to take off the infant carrier to fold it
- Easy handling
- Pockets on the back of the backrest
- Washable canopy
- No suspensions
- Cannot rock
- Baby bar seems high placed
- Need to buy a rain cover and net extra
- Inflatable wheels - would appreciate a gel non-puncture option
A pushchair that I have grown to love due to its lightness and compactness. It doesn't take up much space in the car and can navigate even rough terrain.
I think it's a great choice. It goes through everything and I'm quite an adventurer, so nothing is an obstacle for us. My little one didn't want to sit in the stroller anymore, so I figured I'd get something lighter than the 3 in 1 system.
This stroller is easier to lug around than our original 15 kilogram one... and wonder of wonders, I put my little one in the Valco for the first time and she sat in it obediently for four hours straight, two of which she slept through. So for us, wow.
The only thing that may be a shortcoming for some is the parent handle, which is not height adjustable. It suits me absolutely fine, but I'm 170 cm. My grandmother, who is 150 cm, was already complaining a bit.
- The baby can be napping almost horizontally
- Adjustable leg position
- Lightweight
- Very portable even in a small car trunk, in the train corridor
- Handles even rough terrain well... a dirt road, a forest path
- Price
- The handle is quite low and cannot be adjusted, fine for me - but it bothers my husband (185 cm)
- Not cushioned
- Can't handle really bad terrain (snow, big bumps and lumps)...
Nice compromise of compliance, weight, size for a child (we have a little giant) and terrain use. I don't think there's any point in getting a classic umbrella buggy - either something similar to this stroller, or something mini (like the GB Pockit).
- low weight
- easy and quick folding
- large shopping basket
- pleasant to handle and stroller (even with a heavier baby)
- spacious seat
- carrying capacity up to 20 kg
- extendable canopy
- inflatable wheels
- design - "ordinary"
- there are a lot of them
- could be a bit more cushioned
A very handy, smart and practical stroller. Design-wise it is nothing special, but it is comfortable for both baby and mom.
What I appreciated most was the light weight, the easy and quick folding system and the relatively large shopping basket. It's great to manoeuvre - even going down and up the curb is hassle-free, even with a heavier baby.
It is as spacious as possible for the baby in width and length, even the three year old did not feel overgrown in it. It reclines all the way up to lying down, and the leg positioning also makes it perfect for napping. The canopy is extendable - not quite to the baby's feet, but I think it's enough. I also had a chance to try the model with foam wheels and I definitely recommend paying for the "Sport" inflatable version - you can feel the wheels very much when you ride and you'd rather inflate occasionally rather than pulling out pebbles every now and then.
I was most worried about the handle not being able to be positioned, but the height suited me, so positioning wasn't missed. The only minus I see with this stroller is that there are an awful lot of them - so you have to count on encountering one on every corner during your walk. And I'm sure some neighbor will have one too :-D
- Inflatable wheels, a must for me
- Folding inwards
- Lightweight, compact and practical stroller
- Wheels can be locked
- Spaciousness of the stroller
- Good handling characteristics, can handle even moderate terrain
- Shoulder strap for carrying the folded stroller
- Parental handle is low
- Poorly accessible inflatable valve on front wheels
Lightweight, foldable, great positioning. With inflatable wheels a fantastic stroller.
- price
- roomy
- easy folding
- no reversing of the seat
- I am not so fond of the setback recline system
Lightweight, compact, inflatable wheels make it go over everything beautifully. In its price range it is a top of the line stroller. I took a bit of getting used to the seatback reclining - I prefer the classic lever recline, but it was doable. Too bad it doesn't reverse as well. But folding is a big plus - easy, convenient.
- Compact
- Lightweight
- Good handling
- Comfortable for baby
- Long hood
- Handles terrain - potholes, curbs, grass ruts without problems
- Wheels do not rattle
- Can be put to a lie-flat position
- Has ventilation
- Window and storage space
- Large basket
- Apron included (tailor made)
- Cheap
- Bad access to the basket when fully reclined
- The ventilation rear fabric could also be fixed on the sides
- It's not a designer stroller
Too bad I didn't buy it when I had my first baby. Very practical and well thought out stroller, probably even better than some overpriced ones, but nothing interesting by design. Every second mom has it, but I don't see it as a minus. Rather, it just proves that it is really good for the price.
- Compact
- Light
- Spacious for the kid
- Great one-hand manipulation
- Wholly washable
Great pushchair. I definitely recommend it, I am very satisfied.
- Lightweight
- Compact
- Backrest and leg positioning
- Large basket that is easily accessible
- Price
- Off-road driving characteristics
- No suspension
For the money, I think it's a fine pushchair. It's very light, which is great as it's easy to handle. The baby's seat is nice and wide and I like that it has back and leg positioning. What's a little weaker is the ability to go over some terrain, although it's not the worst.
