Mutsy IGo

The Mutsy IGo is a model superior to the Mutsy Evo, featuring a modern and minimalist L-shaped chassis. Both front and rear wheels are equipped with a suspension system. Thanks to the Anti-Wheel Lift system on the front wheels, the stroller will stay on the ground even while maneuvering. The IGo thus can handle even more demanding urban terrain.
The modern, oval-shaped carrycot can be, as well as the seat unit, clicked on the chassis directly, without the need for adapters. Thanks to the memory buttons, you can then remove them using just one hand. The seat unit can be reclined fully, and while reclining it, the depth of the seat is being adjusted as well. You can place the seat in either a front or a rear-facing position, but the click system needs to be rotated first. For better storage and more compact fold, the seat can be folded in half. The carrycot, the seat unit, and the car seat are also available separately. By adding any of them to a separately-bought chassis, you can create any desired combination.
You can choose a matching version of the chassis. The Farmer/Heritage chassis is either black, silver, dark grey or blue-grey and features a dark brown leatherette handlebar. The Urban Nomad/Pure chassis is either black, silver, dark grey, with a cognac brown leatherette handlebar. There is also a wide range of accessories available including air-filled rear wheels or the original sibling board.

Parent reviews of the Mutsy IGo
- Design
- Very nearly worn out wheels - not recommended
- Only the rear wheels can be replaced - a big disadvantage
A nice, designer stroller. The advantage was that it was folded in one piece, otherwise quite heavy. For me very hard (no suspension felt) and hard to handle. When we hit a bump, it almost tipped over.
- All I have put in the description
- None
I was looking for a stylish stroller with practical features, and the Mutsy IGo lived up to my expectations. I used every detail.
Very comfortable handling, handle adjustment (I am short, my husband is tall), seat in both forward and rearward direction, easy reclining of the backrest when the baby falls asleep, and perfect hood extension to keep the sun out of the baby's eyes.
Everyday purchase I put in the basket under the seat; the belly bar is very easy to remove when the child is getting in or out. Absolutely no problem with the wheels, the brake went smoothly, folding the stroller at the same time with the seat was perfect! And cleaning the stroller - each part can be very easily disconnected and washed or cleaned separately. Simply recommended.
- lightweight
- compact
- stylish
- quality
- no possibility to buy spare front wheels
I couldn't have picked a better stroller 👏❤️ Mutsy IGo 3 in 1 system met our expectations. Lightweight, stackable, stylish, easy to fold and unfold even for a woman... Also for the sidewalks, and also for off-road, it's just a class act 👍
The only thing that bothers me is that you can't buy spare front wheels ☹️
- Beautiful design
- Handy
- Compact
- Lightweight
- Small bassinet
- Poor coverage from wind
- Short canopy
- Narrower seat
A beautiful stroller, but more for the city and flat terrain. The bassinet is smaller and not so well covered, also the seat unit has a short canopy. The stroller is harder in terms of suspension, but it wasn't a problem for us. The seat also seemed quite small to us.
The best stroller. Great handling and folding, gorgeous design. Lightweight bassinet, huge canopy on the seat section. Fully reclining seat - no bucket shape so baby sleeps fully and can turn sideways. What's great, most of the covers are washable.
- Perfect for travelling and walking on flat terrain
- Lack of suspension
- Front and rear wheels too close together
- Handle cannot be bent for pushing stroller by younger siblings
A great stroller for short and slim mums. Great for car travel, beautifully compact and lightweight. Perfect for a spring-summer newborn. Definitely not for country roads.
It does have trouble on two steps. With most strollers, you can go without problems on the rear axle after just one lift of the front wheels and carry the stroller down like that, this stroller can't do it (ita wheels are too close). In the old town on cobblestones you'll shake the soul out of the baby 😅
A great stroller. Lightweight, but sturdy. I have nothing to complain about.
- Large basket
- Quality textiles
- Unnecessarily bulky and heavy
- Foam wheels
- I wish for a height-adjustable bumper bar (bad angle when the child is in the lying position)
- Price
You can find a better pram for that money 🙈 I find it unnecessarily bulky and heavy.
The textiles are high-quality. One-handed manipulation is terrible. Just a small hole or bump in the road, and my kid is almost being spilled out of the pushchair. The bumper bar changes position when you recline the seat, and after that, it's terrible as well. My son couldn't even turn while sleeping - because of it. You can certainly find a better one for that price.
Your questions about the Mutsy IGo
Hello Eli.
I have inherited from a friend a 6 years old Mutsy Igo and I have problems reclining the seat, it’s really hard to lift the back handle. Maybe it’s too old. Is there a way to rub some vaseline on the system?
Hey, Kate Rose,
I would only recommend stripping the seat down (but make sure to document how you did it so that you can put it back on), and then, try silicone spray for the moving parts. You can get that e.g. in autoparts shops, or in bugger supermarkets.
If that doesn't help, something may simply be broken inside.
Hi there!
We’ve just inherited a friend’s 2015 iGO stroller, complete with bassinet & adapters. We are expecting a baby in December 2023 and hope to use this stroller in conjunction with a current infant car seat (2023 Nuna Pipa Lite RX or similar Maxi-Cosi). Do you have any advice as to how we might adapt this stroller for current use? Much thanks for your help!
Hey, Fiona,
Not completely sure what is the question here. If you do have the adapters, they will work for Maxi-Cosi/Cybex/Recaro/Kiddy/Joie car seats for sure. About Nuna car seats, it should work, too, but the newer Nunas seem not to work with those adapters anymore, so trying it out before is the better approach. But if a Maxi-Cosi car seat is an option, I would go with that just to be sure, any 0+ MC should work with the car seat adaúters for the IGO.
Is the carrycot safe for overnight sleeping? We are going away for a week and she will be 4 months old.
Hello there,
Unfortuntael yno, the carrycot, as far as I know, was not tested nor made for overnight sleeping. I personally would rather go for a travel cot, it is not that huge an investment.
Hi Eli,
Do you happen to know how to remove the seat padding on the iGo stroller? I’m stuck!
Thanks very much
Maria
Hey, Maria,
I am sorry, but I don't have any detailed manual on how to do it, and the instructions used to be on mutsyworld.com's site in the FAQ section, but they put that away after this was discontinued. I would actually recommend contacting Mutsy's customer service and ask about this, maybe they still have it somewhere.
Normally however you go and unhook the sides all around the stroller's seat, then "undress" the seat. Be sure to make pictures of how it looked before, and/or a video of how you put it down as often the removal is easier than the putting back.
I have a Mutsy IGo pram and one of the front wheels isn’t working properly. Where can I find a replacement wheel in the UK. I have been searching but had no luck.
Thanks
Hey, Pam,
You can't find replacement parts just so pretty with with almost no brand (a few in the world sell those just so, otherwise, they're just not). I have written THIS article about spare parts so be sure to read that, hope that helps. Wishing you the best of luck.
How do I fold the handle when folding?
Hi, Daniel,
I hope I understood your question well enough – if not, write your question a bit more in detail, please. When you're folding the stroller, you have to push the handlebar in with a bit of force, a bump, to start the handle folding over. The middle button should be pushed in, and the handle then pushed downward quickly. After that, the folding starts, and it ends with the with the two side levers on the sides of the bars which make the bottom part of the frame fold down.
Here is a video to better understand:
