Mountain Buggy Nano V3

The Mountain Buggy Nano V3 is the third generation of the popular travel stroller line of the original Mountain Buggy Nano. The Nano V3 was released in 2020. This lightweight, compact pushchair differs from the previous iterations in the new strap-reclining mechanism that goes to a lie-flat position - no need to undo the sides like with the previous models. Another difference between the Nano V3 and the previous Nano V2 is in the better-protected seat; the forward-facing seat unit sports a canopy extended by a larger sun visor, and there is also an openable ventilation part in the back that allows you to regulate the airflow.

The MB Nano V3 is, just like the other Nanos, suitable from birth. The seat can also be paired with the Mountain Buggy Cocoon, which comes with its own hood. You can also add a car seat of different brands using straps and rubber bands hidden underneath the seat.

The Nano V3, being a slim stroller, is easily maneuverable through narrow streets and aisles. The compact folded dimensions help the Nano V3 buggy with meeting the criteria for cabin luggage fitting the overhead compartment of a plane. Thanks to the many optional accessories, the Nano V3 could also be used as an only stroller for active parents or more demanding parents with less storage space. Accessories you can purchase separately include: a bumper bar, a winter seat liner, a footmuff, skis suitable for sand or snow, and a Freerider scooter that can be added to the chassis as a sibling board. The Nano V3 was also released in limited editions such as the Year Of The Rat, which includes a matching seat liner.

Your questions about the Mountain Buggy Nano V3

1)

Hi Eli, does this stroller have a peekaboo window? I can't see one in the canopy. Thanks!

Heya, A.,

There's no regular viewing window, really. On the other hand, the back is see-through, which actually could be counted as a peek-a-boo window as you only need to lower your head and you can see at least part of your child, the more so if the seatback is reclined.

2)

Does the Nano V3 have a popper on its 'safety strap' as some of the videos show a velcro strap instead - is this the v2? I've just brought a V3 and the popper strap is not long enough to fold around the buggy so that you can't pick it up one-handed to put in the back of the car - if you do it just opens back up as you lift. So now I'm wrapping two arms around it to keep it together/folded every time I lift it. Annoying! I wouldn't ask unless I had seen videos of a longer velcro handle that holds it all together.

Thanks

Hi, Amandapanda!

I do believe there should be a side, plastic safety lock, I mean, even Mountain Buggy's official video shows it to have one. Another video presenting the V3 model, however, showed that there was nothing at all, meaning not even a strap in place, so I think it varies from country to country, or from month to month. They might have designed it so that it should have a security latch and then removed it because of technical problems or simply lowering the costs.

The velcro strap you found is not used for what you think, that is for securing a car seat onto the pushchair's seat.

Check your stroller's manual, it might show or not show the automatic plastic lever lock (or not) - then you'll know if you should have gotten one with or without it. Also, consult with the Mountain Buggy / Phil&Teds customer service to know more, if you're still unsure or the manual shows something different than you've god.

How high is the seat back for the Mountain Buggy Nano V3?

Hi, Jo,

The backrest of the Mountain Buggy Nano V3 is 49 cm high.

The seat dimensions are actually available in our Specifications part, just click and open the part Seat Unit 😉

4)

Is it compatible with the Nuna Pipa car seat series? What adaptors are required (I’m confused by all the numbers!). Thank you

Hi, Cara,

There are no adapters with this one, just a STRAP to secure a car seat to it. The car seat securing strap is included with the pushchair. And YES, a Nuna Pipa can be fitted to the MB Nano V3 buggy this way, too.
