leclerc Influencer

The leclerc Influencer is a new and style update of the globally popular leclerc Magicfold (Plus) and its newer iteration, leclerc MF Plus, a lightweight ultracompact buggy boasting an ultra-simple, 'magical' folding system that only needs activating a button on the handlebar. After that, the pushchair can fold by itself and stay standing on the ground to be picked up.
The Influencer stroller, as the most middle road of the 2022's leclerc collection, boasts the same features as the Magic fold/MF Plus, but in four new colors and fancier finishes. Partly-breathable fabrics, colorful leatherette handle and and belly bar finish, different accessories to choose from optionally, and an overall stylish look are what makes this buggy different. More of the Influencer's features would include the 100% PU rubber wheels with individual suspension, 600D waterproof hood with UPF50+, or the magnetic 5-point-harness buckle. The seat's backrest reclines fully, thanks to a one-handed lever system, and there are three positions to choose from. The leg rest is also individually adjustable.
You can use the Influencer seat practically from birth - it's equipped with a rear safety net. The optional footmuff/cocoon, full-size carrycot with adapters, or a Maxi-Cosi attachment-type car seat with separate adapters are also newborn options suitable for a small baby. Various accessories to opt for are available to complement your pushchair - there's the usual cup holder or rain cover, but also twin connectors to connect two strollers to make a double buggy are also one of the choices.
The Influencer stroller was released along with two pretty much identical strollers: the basic leclerc MF Plus, and the most premium, luxurious leclerc Hexagon with the hexagonal stitching and a suedine covers on the handle and belly bar.

Loving the metallic chassis and the easy fold. The wheels are not for any terrain, however.
Your questions about the leclerc Influencer
Hi there!
Having a hard time deciding. Could you please compare Leclerc influencer XL with the Bugaboo Dragonfly for urban lifestyle but with lots of car use? Which one is best for a newborn but also for long lasting use? Don't want to change my stroller in 2 years :) Many thanks!
Ji, Helena,
If you want a long-lasting stroller, you need something not primarily meant for occasional use and. travel. The Influencer, even if marketed as kind of versatile, was designed as a travel stroller, and with that size and seat space, even if it's practical for car trips, I would not want it for a newborn nor for any terrain except for smooth pavements, malls, and similar. Even with the larger wheels. It will get looser, and the short backrest will be a bit awkward about 2 years in.
The Dragonfly is definitely more suitable for a newborn, design-wise, though again, if you want something from birth until 33-4 years, a reversible seater might not be it. The needs of the child as well as you change about 1.5-2.5yo as one needs something roomier but lighter, simpler, which a reversible model won't be.
Personally, I think you picked opposites, and I would suggest something roomier but lighter, quick folding. E.g. the Oyster Zero Gravity, the Baby Jogger City Mini2, or a Valco Snap (or Trend). All offer a bassinet option, more space in the seat, but also flat fold and multi-terrain use, not compromising the baby's nor pushing comfort.
Hi, I was looking at the Leclerc influencer and notice the influencer XL has larger wheels to handle more terrain. Do you know what the wheel size is for the XL?
Hey, Em,
The manufacturer doesn't state this anywhere, though it should be approximately 15 cm in the front, and 16-17 cm in the rear part.
Keep in mind though that the frame did not change on the influencer, and is not really sturdy not large enough for some terrain use . the larger wheels are more for comfort on a bit more bumpy sidewalks.
I bought one and feel like the hood makes a loud noise to open and close, and I feel a bit of resistance that I don't know if it is normal, does it normally make this noise and resistance?
Hi, Valencia,
The hood is secured by this "toothed wheel" and yes, it does click loud-ish-ly when being positioned. I am not sure how loud is that for you, if it's crazy you might want to contact the manufacturer, but in general yes, it is rather normal for this stroller.
Obviously, the stroller can't fold with a carseat in, however can the leclerc Influencer still fold with the carseat adapters left on?
Hi, Chloe,
I don't have this tried out. Design-wise, it SHOULD be possible as that part where the adapters go is out in the open, so it should not prevent anything except make the folded size a bit bugger - so I believe it can be folded with them but I will suggest trying that out first, for ex. in a shop, to be 100% sure.
Hi there,
Is there any other carry cot that would fit on the le clerc Influencer with adapters?
Heya, Hannah,
You can buy the Influencer in a bundle with a carrycot, and yes, it does use adapters to be fitted onto the frame. If needed, contact leclerc customer support about options to buy the cot separately. Not sure why you would not want that one, as it is designed for the stroller and should be working better than any other one.
However... With the Maxi-Cosi adpaters that leclerc offers, you should be able to attach GB's Cot To Go in theory, but I never tried in person so cannot say how the center of gravity will be with that one. So, there is this extra option, however I would not go for it unless truly nothing else works for me. And you can always use a reclining car seat (Joie i-Level for ex.) on the car seat adapters instead of a bassinet.
Can I use it for new born?
Hi, Paz,
Occasionally, in the completely reclined position, you can, however I personally would not recommend using this extensively for a newborn, it is too rattly and open for that.
Hi,
I've read that the Bugaboo Butterfly seat can't seat fully upright. Can the leclerc seat sit upright? I don't want my baby to be slouched inside the stroller. Thanks!
Hi, Anna,
It is true the Butterfly is not completely upright, however, it is more upright than most ultra-compact strollers. The Influencer is actually more slanted, so even less upright, unfortunately. It is the price to pay for these super small buggies that are meant for occasional and travel use only.
Hey!
Could you please tell me how high is the back of the seat? I know the Joolz Aer is the higher for taller children, but how much is this stroller?
Thank you!!
Hi, Daga,
The seatback is about 46 cm tall, with the overall length about 85 cm (full seat surface in lie flat mode).
Can you fold the influencer stroller with the footmuff on?
Hiya, Daga,
It usually depends on the footmuff - if it is a very thin one, I guess you could, but... Normally, I would say no, as it folds in a Z shape and the inward space is taken up by the fold. Even if you manage to fold it with a cosytoes inside, it will be considerably bulkier/thicker, and the auto-lock will most probably not lock. So the simplest answer is no, this buggy is not meant to be folded with the footmuff on.
Hi, how heavy can the handle bar take (eg for bag, organizer)?
Thank you.
Hi, Adeline,
You should not weight the handlebar at all here - the maximum should be perhaps a cup holder with a cup, no more. These ultra small strollers are not meant to carry bags or something else on the handle.
