Joie Brisk LX

The Joie Brisk LX is a higher version of the stylish [joie-brisk|Joie Brisk]] stroller. Compared to the basic model, the LX always comes with the bumper bar included. The upgraded premium textiles are available in new colors. The LX is also a bit longer and heavier than the basic model, but its weight capacity was increased to a respectable 22.5kg.
The Brisk LX also offers the simplified folding and that makes this stroller unique. You only need to pull the clip mechanism located on the handlebar and the pushchair folds into itself umbrella-style. The surprisingly spacious shopping basket is also handy for example when out shopping. The seat can be reclined sufficiently even for newborns. By attaching the car seat (no adapters needed), you can create a travel system suitable from birth.

Parent reviews of the Joie Brisk LX
- Carrying capacity
- Bumper bar included
- Extension canopy
- Full reclining
- Mine squeaks and I don't know where
A handy buggy, we used it mainly for travelling and trips. Extendable canopy protects well from the sun, also included is a bumper bar which was my condition when I bought it. High carrying capacity. Easily coped fully loaded and also with our nearly three year old son. I'm deducting points for the fact that it squeaks and I can't figure out where. I've washed it all over maybe 100 times 😂
- Fast folding
- Lightweight
- Nice design
- Not good for longer walks
I only carry the stroller in the car. It is nice to push, but it is unusable in any kind of terrain.
I returned it. In sme countries you have just 15 kg as the maximum weight. It looks average, but it does feel not stable enough.
- Compactness and ease of folding and unfolding
- Lies completely flat
- Large canopy (has a visor plus can be unzipped and extended)
- Pretty good wheels compared to some other buggies
- As with all buggies - when lying down, it's hard to get into the basket
- The rain cover that comes with it has reinforcements and that makes it really freaking bulky 😉
When the younger one switched from a pram to a Valco (gradually, at about 5 months), which the older one had been riding in it until then (they are two years apart), we needed something else that she could ride in occasionally. She's petite, and she can't handle everything when we go somewhere. Plus, she likes to nap in the stroller. So we needed something portable, so that both prams could be loaded into the car, but again I didn't want those rickety buggies with mini wheels, which rattle on the floating floor at home...
So I chose the Joie Brisk LX and I am completely satisfied! I was initially still tempted to compare it to the Valco, but I must remember that the Valco is a foldable pushchair (plus we have the "better" one with inflatables), and this is "just" a buggy! So for me, it's really decent! 👍
- Lightweight
- Easy to fold + great to carry
- Super colourful design
- Washable covers
- It can't handle bigger bumps
- I have a hard time getting into the basket when lying down, but that's with all such strollers
- The strap protectors keep coming off
The stroller is relatively light, easy to handle, but it can't handle bigger bumps (cobblestones). The front wheels have a locking mechanism. When the child lies down, access to the basket is very difficult - but this is a worry with most umbrella buggies.
The stroller doesn't squeak at all; too bad the wheels aren't cushioned. It's a great choice of colours, nice material (can be taken off and washed), rain cover included. The strap protectors keep falling off.
Lightweight, quick to fold. Extension canopy protects the child very well. Positioning the backrest to full lying position is 👌. Suspension wheels. Great satisfaction.
- Possibility to attach a car seat to the frame without the need for an adapter
- Really load-bearing, can take a lot
- Takes up almost no space in the trunk - bought for this reason
- It's an umbrella buggy, so do expect a bumpy ride on the cobblestones
I use it in combination with the Gemm car seat.
- Compact
- Usable from birth
- Great to push even with one hand
- Removable bumper bar
- 25kg weight capacity
- Spacious basket
- No accessories included
- No safety net behind the backrest
- Bad basket accessibility when the backrest is reclined
A lightweight, spacious, and beautiful-looking umbrella stroller. It drives excellently, and it can be folded with one hand.
- Compact
- Lightweight
- Lays flat
- One-handed push
- Large basket space
- Good for light terrain conditions
- You need to take into account it's am umbrella stroller = a buggy, not an all-terrain full-size stroller
It's an umbrella stroller - a buggy, so you cannot really expect them to be a workhorse for all terrains. The suspension is only on the front wheels, which is a shame since there's some noise on cobblestones, but nothing tragic really. On the other hand, I was quite surprised by all that it can go through without issues. Also, it is quite compact and lightweight. I can easily push it with one hand. The seat fully adjusts up to a lay-flat. The hood opens up nice and large. The weight capacity of the buggy is quite high as well. Also, it takes up so much less space than a full-size stroller system. And my child can sleep comfortably in it...
