Hauck Duett 3
The Hauck Duett 3 is the third generation of the Hauck Duett. It is a stroller with a 2in1 pramette seat that can be used for a single child or in a tandem configuration suitable for two children.
You can convert the main seat into a carrycot (and vice versa) by simply unfastening and loosening the buckles. Both the seat and the chassis are in elegant dark color. The new, minimalist hood doesn’t have a sun visor nor a peek-a-boo window in the new version. The seat can be tilted to a fully reclined position, with the possibility to adjust the backrest also with the strap. You can reverse it in the single mode as well as in the duo one. The stroller comes with the included second seat which, when attached, is oriented into the shopping basket. You can also recline it, but only partially. Additional reflective elements were added to the basket.
The Duett 3, due to the different seats and the possibility to attach only one car seat, is more suitable for a younger and an older sibling. Thanks to the new possibility to attach two carrycots at the same time, you can also use it for twins from birth.

Best Deals for Hauck Duett 3
Parent reviews of the Hauck Duett 3
- Affordable price
- Very sturdy
- Superb look
- Quality materials
- Thin bassinet
- Basket is very low to the ground
- Not cushioned, it's a bumpy ride on the asphalt
- You'll have a hard time with it in the field
- Very heavy
I've had the stroller for just a while, but after the first ride there's a lot to describe - I easily could compare it to my previous stroller.
The stroller is nice, stable, comfortable. It's not sprung at all, so it's more bumpy on the asphalt than in terrain, but it's harder to ride in the terrain than on the asphalt. For the winter in the bassinet, you will need a really warm, wind-resistant footmuff - the walls of the bassinet are thin. Otherwise, as a sibling option great, the size of the stroller is just right, it is neither too big nor too small.
It's heavy, so it's impractical for going up stairs or down stairs to the ground floor, you can just fold it and carry it up. The storage basket is very low, it scrapes on twigs, larger stones, bumps. I hope to get used to it soon.
It is a bit of a tank, but very pretty to look at.
Your questions about the Hauck Duett 3
Hi,
I was wanted to ask, where does the older sibling put their legs in the second lower seat. My daughter is tall has longer legs.
Also, how does the raincover work for the second seat as it's much thinner and won't cover the child's legs.
Thank you
Hey, Ali,
Well, the stroller is definitely far from perfect. To answer your question, the legs go into the basket. That solution, however, is not ideal for tall toddlers, this is better for very small age differences between the children. For an older sibling, unless she will somehow adjust even if not 100% comfortable, I would strongly suggest a different stroller, ideally a forward-facing-only side-by-side so that she has much) more space.
ABout the rain cover, unfortunately, the same issue, it is not designed as well. I would suggest, there, to get a universal double stroller rain cover somewhere on Amazon.
Hello,
The basket on my Hauck Duett 3 pram has two great big holes in it, I was hoping to get a new basket for my pram if that's possible. Where can I buy a new basket, I can't seem to see any online.
Hope to hear from you soon
Thanks
Hello, Samantha,
I am sorry to say such spare parts are not available just so. You need to either contact the seller (the store you bought your pram at), any other Hauck seller around you, or directly the manufacturer, Hauck's customer service.
They should, for a fee, order the spare part for it. It might, however, happen, nobody will be able to help you. With these cheaper prams, it sometimes happens. In such a case, I recommend visiting a tailor. A good one will be able to sew a basket, replicating the damaged one, even making it from a stronger or thickened material.
Good luck!
Hello,
does anybody know if you can put the bottom seat at the top so the older child (22 months) is at the top?
TIA
Hi there, TIA,
I will disappoint you and say no, you, unfortunately, can't. It is not made so that it can be allowed like that - the securing attachment system is made different than that on the main seat. Apart from the mechanical incompatibility and the simplicity of the second seat that would completely decentralize the gravity/push, its good to know that the larger toddler in the front would also make the push much harder in terms of maneuverability as well as lifting the front up a curb or over a hole in the ground. So no, you cannot use the Hauck Duett 3 with the second seat in the main position (up).
If you need such a model, look at a different tandem configuration - like, for example, something in terms of a Baby Jogger City Select Lux or an Uppababy Vista. I know, these are more expensive prams, but they also are much better quality and so suitable to buy pre-owned. Also, you'll sell them better even after you're done with them.
Btw, if looking for a tandem (or other double) stroller, check out a little guide of ours on choosing a suitable tandem or side-by-side double stroller - it also might be of help.
