GB Pockit+ (Pockit Plus)

see 1 parent review

The GB Pockit+ is an improved version of the Pockit. It belongs to the GB Gold series. This stroller is extremely compact, named the world’s smallest folding stroller by the Guinness World Records. The original design of the stroller is underlined by the hammock-type seat without a leg rest, which can also be washed. In the Plus line, you can also partially recline the backrest. The hood is very simple and can be folded away. The shopping basket can carry up to 5 kg. This is more than the weight of the stroller itself (4.9 kg).

The minimalist Pockit Plus is an excellent companion for traveling or shopping. Using adapters, you can attach a car seat to the stroller creating a practical travel system. You can even buy a separate chassis with adapters know as the GB Pockit Caddy to only use the stroller as a travel system. The seat fabric can be purchased separately if you would need it later.

  • compact - the smallest in the world
  • super light
  • easy manipulation - easy to turn around
  • reinforced wheels (not foam but harder plastic/rubber)
  • self-standing after folding
  • fits in a handbag
  • possibility to have the handlebar in a very low position - my older daughter can push it by herself
  • thinner canopy
  • no lie-flat position

The world's smallest buggy. It is srsly super compact. We can even fit it in the shopping basket of our Baby Jogger (as an emergency buggy for our older daughter). I like that the wheels are not made of a foam, which damages immediately after passing through stones and such, but is made of hardened plastic/rubber.

My daughter is 19kg, but I feel like she weights only 9 kg when riding in the Pockit. When my son, who is only 9 kg, is sitting in it, I feel like I am pushing an empty stroller. It is awesome.

The canopy is a bit thin - it is open on the sides, and I would appreciate it to be covered at least with some thin cloth.

The stroller doesn't offer a completely lie-flat position. However, I am planning to fix it somehow.

Your questions about the GB Pockit+ (Pockit Plus)

1)

I want a stroller that's light weight and easy. I currently use the Joie Litetrax 3, but I'm finding it too big and heavy. My son is 3 years old and 20kg. Will this pushchair be suitable width-wise for him - and for everyday use?

Thank you.

Hey, Ziya,

This is certainly a very lightweight, compact, and small-size pushchair. The thing is, that as such, you need to count on it to be not too sturdy - many moms would even call it rattly, noisy, and with a wobbly frame. I mean, it's no catastrophe - for traveling and very occasional use (e.g., around shops), it will work just fine. But if you are searching for something that will be used every day, and on different kinds of terrain (good AND bad sidewalks, grass, occasional dirt road, etc.), you might be annoyed with how it performs.

To talk more about it, I wrote an article about these ultracompacts and their unsuitability for everyday or all-terrain use - please, if you have time, read it just to have more ideas about what I am trying to warn you about.

I would maybe suggest going for something mid-size & lightweight. A popular option is a Valco Snap 4, which I liked less than a Oyster Zero that (to me) felt much easier to steer... But if still something smaller, maybe the new Inglesina Maior might work... and one of the top choices for a small but sturdy stroller would also be the Uppababy Minu (or a Thule Spring... Though the much-smaller but almost all-terrain option would be a TFK Dot 2, you will have to check if this model is even available around where you live.

I hope I explained everything and gave you enough inspiration. Do think about the size of the pushchair and how smaller the seat will also be - and do take the terrain you will go over into account when choosing.

Good luck!
