The new Cybex Eezy S-Twist+² Gold line is an improved version of the original Cybex Eezy S-Twist+, released for 2020. This ultra-lightweight, ultra-compact stroller is still great for travel. The new variation introduced a larger, more comfortable seat with an adjustable backrest and with a bumper bar included. The new hood is now larger and height-adjustable. The Cocoon S for newborns has transformed a lot – the new version is almost a full-featured carrycot. Another improvement is higher fabric quality. Despite the series of changes within the Eezy line, the Plus version is still equipped with bigger, 'all-terrain' wheels that can handle uneven terrain. They are also one of the differentiating attributes of the 'Plus' version.
The unique ability to reverse the seat unit thanks to the specific, 360-degree seat rotation system is still present even in the renewed model. Removing the seat unit is not necessary; the system is activated by unlocking the safety button, enabling you to turn the seat directly on the chassis. The slim Eezy S-Twist+² Gold line will fit through the narrowest shopping aisles easily. The stroller is compatible with the Cocoon S soft insert carrycot, the full-featured Cot S carrycot, and the car seat adapters with Cybex/Maxi-Cosi-type adapters.

Parent reviews of the Cybex Eezy S-Twist+²
For children, perfect in everything! I love it!
Large surface for napping, large wheels, and it's lightweight.
Great for a compact, reversible stroller - you will never find something similar with those features! Of course, it won't be 100% perfect for everything, but you need to clear up your priorities - and if it's weight, fold, and reversibility, you can't get much better with those ;-)
I like all its features, and also the seat unit size. My DD is happy in it. I would only make the sitting surface deeper. The buggy looks great "on paper", just the finish could be even better, I think.
- lightweight
- compact
- reversible seat
- lay-flat seat
- the seat-reversing system doesn't feel sturdy at all
- expensive
- canopy size
- small basket size
- the suspension is more for decoration - not that noticeable
- no hanging bags on the handlebar
Ok, but for sure not the sturdiest. I am a bit scared I am gonna break it, and that's also why there is no possibility to hang a bag on the handlebar. Nice wheel size, but it's not an all-terrain stroller.
Your questions about the Cybex Eezy S-Twist+²
Being reversible is great, as my baby girl is only 7mths and I don't feel comfortable not seeing her yet (not sure if she is either). The stroller would be use as a second option (travel purpose), however it's not compact enough to carry it in the plane. I am, also, looking for something that will last me longer as I am thinking to swap it once she is a bit older.
Which compact stroller with the same features would you recommend (if there is any) that I would be cabin approved?
Hey, NB,
I would recommend none, honestly. This same model without the + is a bit smaller, and may fit some airlines, but space and practicality-wise, this is as far as it can go. That compact fold fitting cabin size simply doesn't allow for more comfort, space in the seat, or else. So I would say, if smallest possible but reversible is your go-to, this one or the non-plus version would be what I could recommend, there are not many other ones that really work like that, and none that would be better.
The Bugaboo Ant tried that, and people were so unhappy with it they stopped making it. The Recaro Lexa Elite is very similar to the Eezy S-Twist line but is not better...
What do you think about the cocoon option? In pictures, it looks a bit awkward and has little room to breathe due to the hood.
Hey, Laura,
I think the Coccoon is a rather nice option. Yeah, it seems a bit closed up on the pics, and it can be really nice for the winter, honestly (just be sure your baby's mouth and nose are not covered), however there are two studs to keep it much more open (1/3 more open, to be exact) if you'd feel it's too much.
Hi.
Would you recommend this or the Babyzen Yoyo for an everyday stroller and also for travel as we are looking to go on holiday?
Hi,
I would absolutely not recommend the Yoyo for an everyday stroller, so I definitely would recommend this over it. The Yoyo doesn't lie flat (this does), is incredibly slanted, and absolutely not comfortable for longer rides (this can work, even with the narrower seat), and it also has later, thus less rattly and less getting stick wheels. COuld on some compromises here as as a reversible model, the seat space won't be huge, but overall this is a solid model for what it is and for the price.
I use my travel buggy all the time as it's lightweight, easy to fold and takes up no space in the car. For my new baby, I'm looking for something similar but with a cot and with wheels that can cope with grassy walks in the park. This buggy seems to tick all the boxes - could it replace my heavy travel system and lightweight travel buggy in one go?
Hi, there!
I think it coould, if you don't really expect it to be all-terrain. It can go river with some bumps occasionally, still this is more of a second OR urban stroller that can be used from birth. As a lightweight option, totally doable, but for everyday grass, not so much so - for that, you need a bit larger pram.
Or check simpler ones that still fold flat, like the Baby Jogger City Mini GT2, that is one light all-terrain option.
Hey! I am having a hard time choosing an everyday city stroller for my 8 months daughter.
Main criteria:
- as compact as possible, but it should also be able to handle broken pavements/gravel etc.
- adequate canopy and the possibility to see the child through a peek window
- good sleeping position and adequate footrest
- ideally, reversible seat as our baby is not very keen on staying in strollers and it might help her if she sees us
- ideally, an upright position as our baby is quite curious and has the tendency to hold the bumper bar to see better in our Stokke Xplory
- ideally, the stroller should have an option for using it for a newborn in the future (ideally with a separate carrycot)
I have narrowed the list to two strollers: the Cybex Eezy Twist S2 Plus and Baby Jogger City Mini GT2. Each has its own advantages over the other, but I was hoping for some help regarding the overall quality and feel.
Eezy Twist S2+ has a reversible seat and an upright position, however the seat is more narrow (and our baby is at the top of the growth charts), the canopy is not that wide and my understanding is that the overall building quality does not really match the price tag.
The Baby Jogger Mini GT2 is quite appreciated overall, but it is not reversible and it does nor have an upright position and the quality of the textiles and the harness is questionable (based on reviews I have read), however it has a decent canopy and overall good engineering.
What is your advice?
Hi, Sabina,
For everyday use and the requirement of a usage with a large toddler and later on a newborn (= longevity and roominess), I would absolutely go with the City Mini GT2. I know, it doesn't tick all the boxes, but it will simply last you much, and I really mean much longer, as the seat is incomparagble more spacious, and the chassis is incomparably more sturdy.
I would only get the Eezy S-Twist+2 if I needed an occasional reversible stroller, not for an everyday sturdy one that should last that long - so if the priorities were the reversible seat and the small weight/fold.
Hello,
Just wondering how many recline positions are there for this stroller, and what is the height of the seat back? Until what age do you think the seat can support?
Hi, April,
We actually state all of this in the stroller's Specifications, you just need to click on the Seat Unit part. There's a 53cm seat back with infinite recline, meaning an infinite strap reclining system. Realistically, the seat should last the 3 years for an average or smaller child that is not too wide (count at least 2.5 years minimum).
Hi,
Between the Cybex Eezy S-Twist 2 and the Cybex Mios, what are the differences and how to decide between them?
Hello, Maria,
The main difference here is that the Eezy is, well, easy, meaning simple, more travel-oriented, no detaching the seat really, just turning it on the chassis. On the other hand, the Mios is a full-sized pram made small, meaning all the features of a full-featured pushchair or stroller system, just with smaller frame/chassis.
The Mios is, therefore meant for everyday use from birth or with a baby, and the Eezy S-Twist+2 is better as a second, lighter travel stroller when you definitely need a reversible one. The durability of the Mios is, therefore, also much higher.
Hi!
Between this and the Melio, which is the better compromise between weight and capacity to handle urban environments?
Hi, Elvie,
I would most probably go with this one, as the Cybex Melio doesn't feel that well built. So my choice would be the Eezy S-Twist2 for its larger wheels and no seat attaching mechanism on the sides, making the stroller frame a tiny bit sturdier.
Hi,
Just wondering if it can fold with the newborn cocoon attached or would it need to be removed for folding? I understand the bassinet/carry cot would need removed but wondered if the other option of the softer cocoon is able to stay attached when folding if it's more flexible.
Also is the only bassinet/carry cot that fits on this the S cot or can others fit?
Thanks :)
Hi, A,
Well, you cannot really fold the stroller with the cocoon - I mean, partially, it goes, but the seat wont fold in properly, and the whole will a be much larger bulk than it should be.
About the carrycot, apart from the original cot, I would only suggest GB's Cot To Go carrycot which can be attached the car seat adapters of this stroller.
Heya, Ans!
Yes, it is true, Cybex, GB and Maxi-Cosi car seats (along with more brands like, i.e., Nuna, Recaro, Kiddy...) have THE SAME attachment system. Cybex doesn't promote this compatibility as Maxi-Cosi car seats are one of their largest rivals on the market. No matter that, you absolutely CAN attach a Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix on the Cybex adapters (and vice versa), so this pushchair WILL ACCEPT it with those adaptors.
