Chicco Multiway Evo

see 7 parent reviews

The Chicco Multiway Evo is a continuation of the ‘robust’, almost all-terrain Multiway umbrella stroller. This relatively lightweight buggy is purposely made slightly wider so that the seat offers more space, making it comparable to a full-sized stroller. Thanks to the bigger and wide dual wheels, the Multiway Evo can handle some occasional bumps, but is, primarily, still destined for the city. Taller parents will like the elevated position of the handlebars.

The Multiway Evo features a modern design using bold colors of the upholstery and contrasting grey-colored seat. The seat can be reclined fully. The hood features a solid sun visor and a pocket at the back, which you can use to store some small items. The shopping basket is made out of fabric matching the sun visor. The stroller comes with a bumper bar, a cup holder, a rain cover, and an apron included.

The best buggy

4
  • Great for all terrain
  • Easy handling
  • Doesn't rattle!
  • The foam on the handle slides down - but with the help of oil the problem is over!

The best buggy from my point of view!

Exceeded my expectations

4
  • Easy to use
  • Lightweight
  • Foldable
  • Large wheels
  • Reclines almost flat
  • The underslung basket is small

I bought the stroller for a holiday to fit everywhere and to be portable. It has exceeded my expectations and I use it now for longer trips when I know my daughter is unlikely to walk through them.

  • Height
  • Wheels
  • Possibility of lying down
  • Price
  • The child does not drown in the stroller, but can see everything
  • After folding it is still very large
  • Dropping canopy
  • Access to the basket
  • Two handles - difficult to operate with one hand
  • Wheels do not roll properly on smooth surfaces and chafe

An umbrella buggy also for a child who doesn't like prams. It has high enough handles, the possibility to lay down fully, large wheels for some terrain. Loud - as about every buggy. I have a second hand model, but it has been little used. Still, with a light touch, the canopy falls down - I had to fasten it differently because it was making me annoyed. Even when folded it is very big, but we don't go anywhere often, so it is not a big problem for me.

It does not fit in a small boot

3
  • Compact when indoors
  • Sufficient canopy
  • Long for the boot of the car
  • The narrow tracks by our house couldn't accommodate the wheels

I recommend buying it for parents with a combi kind of carboot. It does not fit in a small one.

  • Insulated footrest
  • Adequate basket size
  • Loop on the left handle for possible hanging of a bag
  • Folds and unfolds in one or two steps
  • Front wheels not suitable for snow
  • Short seating area

I only keep the stroller in the car for quick runs around town. It folds and unfolds quickly; the belly bar can be removed once or twice. The wheels in the front bother me.

  • Price
  • High-quality materials
  • Footmuff included
  • Sturdy, robust chassis
  • Extremely shallow sitting area - the child slides down all the time
  • The leg rest doesn't hold in the inclined position; it falls down

As an umbrella/travel buggy, I cannot recommend it, because it's not compact at all. As an only stroller, I also cannot recommend it - it doesn't go through any terrain, and the maneuvering with a toddler is very difficult. They sold it to me as all-terrain, but no way to do that with it. The wheels fail and are very noisy on uneven surfaces. We used it as much as we could, but I was so happy when we finally didn't need it anymore. Next time, I'd rather pay more for something with better quality.

For 115 I can imagine a better buggy

3
  • Easy folding
  • Adjustable backrest
  • Doesn't take up much space
  • When the child sleeps in it, the leg rest cannot be adjusted

It's alright. However, for 115 I can imagine a better buggy. Especially the non-adjustable leg rest is not comfortable when the child falls asleep in the buggy. The manufacturer wrote that the leg rest could be put in 2 positions, but that was not correct - mine doesn't.
