Britax Affinity 2
The Britax Affinity 2 is a new version of the luxurious Affinity released in 2016. The chassis has a specific wavy design and a shaped leatherette handle. The wheels with typical spokes have a soft suspension system. The bucket seat is suitable for children from about 6 months of age. Newborn insert makes the seat suitable even for a smaller baby. The carrycot of the Affinity 2 has an additional visor extending the hood. Besides the carrycot, you can also use the stroller with a car seat or buy a complete stroller system.
You can personalize the Affinity completely. The chassis is available in silver, white, black and chrome. The gray seat has to be completed with a separately purchased Color Pack - a hood, harness pads, a seat liner and a basket insert in the chosen color.

Parent reviews of the Britax Affinity 2
- Smaller, but really light
- The seat unit will last up to about 1 year and a few months
Super light, easy to drive as well.
- Lightweight
- Quick folding
- No risk of a puncture
- Adjustable handle height
- Everything can be washed
- Smaller front wheels
Handy, nimble, lightweight stroller for the city. Very easy to fold. We crammed the whole 3-in -1 system into the trunk of a Skoda Fabia. So great!
The individual parts simply click onto the frame. The advantage is that you don't need any adapters even for the car seat. Neither the frame nor the wheels make unwanted noises when the weather changes (pretty important in my opinion heh). The wheels are filled, but not those rattling plastic ones... It's just German quality 5⭐.
The only downside for me was that the original wheels are smaller in the front (you can buy sprung and bigger ones for off-road). Otherwise great satisfaction!
- Easy folding
- Smaller frame
- Pleasant materials
- Well designed seat and harness
- Short canopy
- Could perhaps be better with a little better suspension
- Front wheels got worn out pretty quickly
We have been using the pram for 8 months but due to its shorter canopy we had to make a change. We live in a new location where the wind blows all the time, so we had to look for a replacement. Otherwise, I can only recommend it. You can really get everywhere with it - from the city centre to the snow-covered mountains.
A bucket seat stroller, btw great for tummy aches :) Lightweight, foldable :)
- Agility
- Easy positioning
- Can be facing forward and parent direction
- Bucket seating (not to everyone's taste)
- Small canopy
A great seat unit, can be turned to face the parent and also the opposite direction. A lightweight stroller. The bucket seat does not suit every baby.
I got the pushchair setup and it's an easy to store stroller. We transport it to our second home every week, max satisfaction for me, my daughter is fine with it too.
- The seat part is very good
- The seat belts are also very comfortable
- The front wheel broke quickly
- The plastic part is broken, and the plastic looks brittle
- Because my daughter is big, heavy, and active, the connecting part of the aluminum frame broke when she was about two and a half years old
- Because this is an old model, second-hand sales are small
Very beautiful, but some materials have poor mechanical strength.
Your questions about the Britax Affinity 2
I’ve been given my daughter’s Britax Affinity 2 stroller to clean up and sell on her behalf. However I’m a bit concerned that the chassis is wobbly. The problem seems to be the first joint just below the black plastic bracket that holds the pushchair seat. There is movement (forward and back) in this joint on both sides of the chassis.
Is this normal/safe to use? Can it be fixed? There appear to be two rivets on each side which attach this part to the lower part of the chassis.
Hi, Annie,
Without more (a video link, perhaps), it is very hard to say. If the looseness is very heavy, or you can see the metal and plastic parts going away from each other, it might be a problem, yes. However, a bit of looseness is actually normal, and Britax prams' frames actually are known for more looseness because of a rather soft plastic.
My advice here would be to perhaps ask a stroller service or a Britax distributor, ideally with pictures a nd a video, to be sure. You can also try to visit a Britax store and ask there, or call/email a Britax customer service, asking for an opinion - I mean, child safety is quite important.
But my guess will be, if the problem is not brutal, it should be pretty normal, especially for a few years old stroller.
Hi, my Britax Affinity 2 Chassis was broken, but all the rest part are still well for example the seat, would you please tell that are there any other type of chassis I can by to replace the broken one?
Heya, Lulu,
The ideal solution is to order the SAME chassis as that one is made and best suited for this seat and its center of gravity. So I would either contact a Britax seller anywhere around your, they might be able to order you a spare part for Britax models. Also, to go through classifieds and get a cheap, used model sold either for parts or as a cheaper whole might make sense to you.
Apart from the Affinity frame, I know moms using the Britax B-Motion Plus WITH BRITAX car seat ADAPTERS on that frame - and on those adapters, the Affinity seat can be fitted. I am not completely recommending such a thing as, as I already said, it was not made to be used in such a way. I, however, know mommies do that to have their reversible seat on another stroller frame.
Hope I helped!
