Bebetto 42
The Bebetto 42 is a robust tandem for twins or siblings with a small age gap. The long chassis with large wheels with low-profile air-filled tires can handle even rougher terrain. The stroller is either sold separately, or available as a 2in1 stroller system with optional car seats. You can pair up any two of the parts on the chassis. You can choose between a white, a black or a silver chassis, and one of a number of distinctive textile colors. In 2017, Bebetto 42 was replaced by a newer, streamlined 42 2017.

Parent reviews of the Bebetto 42
A good pram for siblings with a small age difference.
- I liked everything about it :-)
I was using this model for siblings. When my second son was born, the first was 13 months old.
I was very happy with this pram. It was easy to push, tackled our town's pavements well - but the same applies to worse terrain. To add to it, everybody was praising it's looks - I had a very colorful one in a limited edition.
It's a very good, sturdy pram. I sold mine after my boys grew up. If I ever needed a sibling or twin pram, I would go for this one again without hesitation.
- spacious
- easy to push
- heavy
A very good tandem stroller (system) for the city as well as all-terrain use.
Your questions about the Bebetto 42
Can I use my bebetto double stroller for running?
Hi, Janet,
Unfortunately, no, the stroller is not at all made for that purpose and could tip or get damaged under that strain with both of your kids inside. Definitely not a jogging stroller, and I would look at pushchairs like the Thule Glide Double for that purpose.
What age can my child use the car seats that come with it until? X
Hi, Kaylz,
The car seats are meant, at least officially, until 13 kg of weight. And the body proportions change from child to child, so there cannot be one universal age to use it until. However, 13 kg is an approximation, and pretty much never a 13kg baby fits in these car seats anymore. Realistically, you will use the car seats up until about a year of age or less (10 months, for example), depending on how quickly your kids will grow.
An important factor with 0+ car seats is the baby's head - it cannot protrude from the car seat. The legs can, but the moment the head is on the edge, you need to swap the car seat.
How much weight is the stroller built to carry? I've been using it for my two kids for a year now. At this point they are 3 and 1. My oldest still enjoys riding in it for longer walks or of he's tired, but I wonder if the weight of a 3 year old is getting to be too much for the stroller to handle. I haven't experienced any problems with it though. Just don't want it to break.
Hey, Jess!
A good question as you, obviously, do care about the stroller and its state, which is great. This tandem pram is built for two kids with 15 kg maximum each. Yes, it is true that a three-year-old might be close to, or over 15 kilograms; however, if the younger is less heavy, and together, they don't get over 30 kilograms WHILE not overstraining the frame with huge loads of shopping, you should be fine. The frame should be OK with 30 to 35 kilograms in total, and if your manipulation is gentle enough (no brutal handling) while the stroller performs well until now, I wouldn't be afraid.
Of course, officially you should be loading it 15 kg per seat at the maximum, but the load is counted so that it should be fine, really - and the chassis is rather robust as well, so no worries there.
P.S. Don't forget to clean and oil your stroller regularly to keep it in the best condition - more about that in our cleaning and maintenance guide here 😉
Do the pushcair seats lay back for babies to sleep ?
Hey, there!
Yes, the seats of the Bebetto 42 are of the 'traditional' type - lie-flat seats with an individually adjustable seatback as well as leg rest, and they lay down pretty much flat even for babies that don't sit by themselves just yet (or for those who sleep a lot and/or often in their pram).
They are NOT bucket seats if that was what you were afraid of.
