A reversible, compact-ish stroller for a tall 10 months old

paul-eh • 09 Jun 2024

Hi,

Our son is rather tall and has a very long back =) (10 months, 80cm). We are looking for a stroller (sit & lie-down) where he can sit front- and backward-facing.

Main use case would be for urban life, but the occasional walk in the nearby forest. Bonus points for foldable (to put into the car).

We have tried a few options but his head already touches the sun cover / canopy. Some folks recommend a bicycle trailer, but we would prefer not to do that for now ;)

Any advice?
Thanks!

Hey there,

I personally wouldn't really recommend a reversible (front and back facing) stroller for a taller child that already touches the hood with its head unless really really necessary. Just forward-facing models are almost always much more spacious, and will overall last you longer. So just food for thought :-)

About a reversible one, try checking Peg-Pérego strollers, the Mamas&Papas Armadillo Flip line, or Easywalker pushchairs with a reversible seat.

Again, though, try also thinking about a mid-size, lighter pushchair that would not face the parent as it will be roomier, more compact (flatter after folding), and also cheaper. And - try to visit a few baby stores to tr a few models with your little one, as each child sits differently and needs different things, you might see how he reacts and feels in a few models and can decide better afterwards.

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
