Silver Cross Wing 2
.eli
The Silver Cross Wing 2 is a 2021's update of the original British ultra-compact Silver Cross Wing. The Wing2 is not too different from the first generation – the difference between the Wing and the Wing 2 lies in a design update (new fabrics and patterns on the sun visor especially), a comfier, ergonomically padded seat fro an even higher comfort of the baby, and a new wheel design with an improved, softer rear suspension with visible springs. The Wing 2 from Silver Cross now freestands when folded and pulls along suitcase-style if you use the bumper bar as a handle.
The extendable canopy offers UPF50 protection and enhanced ventilation as well as an upgraded pop-out sun visor. The seat unit only faces the world but offers a complete lie flat usable even with smaller babies. It also sports an easy-to-use, well-padded harness belt system. The Wing 2 doesn't offer a travel system option and is only supplied with a rain cover - all other accessories are to be purchased separately.

Your questions about the Silver Cross Wing 2
Hi Eli,
Bought the Silver Cross Wing 2 for my baby and been using it for almost 2 years. Unfortunately now the right side of the stroller doesn’t seem to lock into place. I can fold it up but once extended the right side is slanted Down as the locking does not work.
I worry to use it anymore as I worry my child will have serious injuries if the stroller tumbles.
Any resolution?
I really love this stroller.
Regards
Siva
Hey, Siva,
I am sorry to say that unless you find a service / repairman focusing on strollers, OR won't make the SC customer service replace your stroller, there's not much to do. These models from Slver Cross do develop these internal problems from time to time, and it's the price to pay for them being so light and compact - there's too many tiny little components that break over time, in this case, something in the joint. That is also why these are not supposed to be as everyday daily strollers, but only occasionally. You cannot really fix it yourself, and it may be it cannot be fixed other than by replacing the frame.
Sorry not to have better news. In any case it is not safe to use this anymore.
Hi there,
I’m wondering how long the backrest is on this stroller? A lot of travel ones seem really short? Thankyou
Hi, Kim,
You are right, most travel strollers have a shorter seatback, and this is no exception. The seatback of the stroller is 40 cm tall, and the overall length is 83 cm (width 31 cm). Don't expect much in terms of space, it is a small stroller, and not too roomy either.
