Silver Cross New Pop
The Silver Cross Pop from 2019, also known as the New Pop, is an updated version of the previous generation - the Pop 2. Despite its low weight, this umbrella stroller has a high weight capacity and a spacious, wide seat, making the New Pop able to handle even an older child.
The new version features a stylish, matte black chassis and new, premium quality fabrics with diamond-like stitching. Thanks to the ventilation system, the 2019 Pop is excellent for summer days. Suitable from birth, the seat offers a flat recline, thanks to which you'll appreciate the New Pop as an alternative or an addition to bulkier strollers that are usually a part of the stroller system. By unzipping the ventilation/peek-a-boo panel, you'll allow airflow while extending the hood to extra-large size.

Your questions about the Silver Cross New Pop
Can you buy the straps for these? I have one but one of the straps have snapped off.
Hi, Fiona,
You will need to contact either the distributor or the brand's customer service itself for a spare part.
Apart form that, there are options of "universal" harnesses on Amazon etc., however it won't be as design-matching and can only fit as a whole harness, so make sure to check how all is looking and if it seems compatible.
Hi thank you very much for your extremely informative website! Please could let me know the detailed dimensions of the seat on this stroller; length of backrest, seat width and depth, and full length of seat.
I'm looking for a travel stroller for my tall and heavy 16 month old (88cm and 18kg). What is your opinion on the pros and cons of ultra compact strollers (e.g. Joolz Aer+) versus 8 wheeled umbrella strollers like this one in terms of ride quality and structural rigidity for a heavy toddler? It's folded dimension is not too much of a concern for us as we are happy to check in our stroller at the gate when we fly. Thanks :)
Hey, Coll,
We have the seat dimensions under the stroller in the part Seat Unit. If you click on that, lower on the stroller's page, you'll see:
Backrest height
50 cm
Width and depth of the sitting surface
35 x 21 cm
Total length of the seat unit
87 cm
About the pros and cons vs. ultra-compact travel strollers, well. The two handles make, unfortunately, for a bit flimsier ride, you won't be able to push this one-handed and especially with a bigger child, that side will get looser over time. The push is, in general, a bit less nimble and comfortable, compared to, On the plus side, the set will be wider and overall much roomier in the seat area, a bit better for naps. It can also feel a bit more stable, sitting better on the ground.
So, if you don't mind the length after folding, and you are not planning to use this for years and years, it is an ok choice with a good seat space and a very nice canopy. If you do need a one-hand and/or a nimbler push, the Aer would be the better choice though.
Hi.
Currently have a Cosatto Supa 3, wanted to buy a Silver Cross Pop (the new one with the bumper bar) as I feel the Cosatto is too narrow on the seat wanted one a bit wider… the basket from the Cosatto is also not to big… Opinions please :) Thank you
Hi, Daniela,
You will definitely improve with the seat width with the New Pop, the seat is a bit larger, yes. It is so, however, on multiple umbrella-style buggies, e.g. the Koelstra Simba T4 or the Peg-Pérego Si as well. There are upsides to this buggy, but I personally don't think I would buy it unless it is at a very very good price, as it does not stand out in quality vs. performance ratio to me personally. The basket won't be much bigger nor much accessible on this.
If the seat width is the only real requirement of yours, and you have the New Pop at a nice price, why not. If, however, you'd want to upo your game a bit more, check, perhaps, Maclaren buggies, the newer ones wih the single handle are really reasiet to push and overall a super nice quality.
Is this stroller suitable for a tall toddler (91 cm 13 kgs 2 year old) and though it says it is suitable for up to 4 years, how true is that? How does it compare with Chicco Goody Plus since I am confused between the two - pros and cons would help (seeing the specs there is a very slight difference)?
Also, what are the terrains this could be used on?
Hi there,
There is a great difference between the Chicco Goody Plus which is an occasional use ultra-compact stroller meant for traveling and made as small as possible (which will be reflected in the seat, basket, hood size as well) and this umbrella-style stroller that is quite long after folding. Yes, both are urban, better on smooth surfaces, though there are too many different qualities - the Goody+ made for traveling = super light and compact, the New Pop long but also much more spacious - though you WILL need two hands to push it because of the twin handlebars.
The New Pop is definitely OK at least till 3 years of age, and a not too huge 4 years old could fit, perhaps, too - be ready, however, that with those two handles and a bit rickety frame design it will be much harder to push with a really tall/heavy-ish child.
So, you should be able to use both with your two-year-old for sure, though the Goody+ is not really an everyday buggy - for everyday use, the Silver Cross will be better, but as its type goes, not always the smoothest push, especially on terrain. The small wheels of the Goody+ or the plastic-y double wheels of umbrella strollers are simply not for larger bumps; you will feel them too much. Remember, the larger the wheels, the better (most of the time).
