The Petite&Mars Musca is an umbrella stroller in a pure design. One of its biggest advantages is the affordable price. It is based on and formerly known as the Monza Musca, but with an improved hood. The newer hood is more modern and without the plastic locking mechanism on the sides. A welcome addition is also the use of new fabrics. The seat unit can be reclined flat, suitable even for infants that cannot sit independently.

In 2016, the Musca was also released in the very popular limited Heritage edition inspired by the pattern typical for the Slovak village Čičmany. The year 2017 brought a pink sequel - Heritage Birds, and the blue quilted Blue Channels limited edition.

There is plenty of space

4
  • Light
  • Not for tall parents

Great for us. Lightweight, foldable, the baby can be lying down completely and there is plenty of space.

  • XXL canopy
  • beautiful design (blue from the premium line)
  • surprisingly solid and stable for a buggy
  • very comfortable for the baby
  • can be put into a full recline
  • price
  • it is harder to manoeuvre
  • cannot be stripped and washed
  • the window on the canopy for checking the baby when the caonpy is pulled back is not working
  • it is not the lightest among buggies I found (7.9 kg)
  • when folding it is necessary to unfasten the belly bar

I evaluate the stroller as a buggy, menaing a light and compact stroller for occasional use, especially to the shops and short trips to the city. It is definitely not a full-featured stroller for everyday use and off-road - who expects that from it, of course, will be disappointed.

At first glance, it appealed to me with its nice design and in use it surprised me with its strength and stability, for example, even when lifting and carrying up the stairs with a baby inside, nothing bends or breaks. Maneuvering with it is a little harder and it really rattles a lot on uneven ground, but in shops and on flat pavements it goes without problems.

I like the easy positioning of the backrest and legs. My son feels very comfortable to sit in - unlike some big pushchairs that have a too slanted seat and the baby slides or bends in the seat. It can be put in a full reclining position and the large canopy creates a complete shadow fro the baby and protects him or her when sleeping.

It is possible to buy a belly bar for the stroller, which holds really firmly. The disadvantage is when folding, when you have to take it down every time and it's really hard to unfasten and fasten it, because it's really tight. Without the bar, the stroller folds and unfolds quickly and easily, it also has a safety lock against unfolding (which is also easy to unlock). Overall, considering the price and the purpose. I bought it for, it met my expectations. It serves us well.

Price-performance ratio is great

Price-performance ratio is great, especially for plane travel. Quick to assemble.

  • light
  • compact
  • lies flat
  • large basket
  • extended canopy (even the non-extended setup is large enough)
  • pocket on the back of the canopy
  • leg positioning
  • price
  • designs
  • some designs fade in color over time

This is one very good and nice looking umbrella buggy. It is light and folds well, can be put in the bed and is easy to handle. The frame is sturdy. The Limited editions also have a beautiful and sophisticated design. But I can't stop wondering - some women would probably want a buggy for occasional transfers, logically, with a bigger child, even a walking one, probably to ride by itself, gently like on butter, preferably to be the lightest in the world, and probably to have inflatable wheels and to be folded by itself, and to be small but spacious... For God's sake, a bit of judgment, it's an UMBRELLA STROLLER. :-D

It's not so much about the price, it's one of the cheaper ones (not the cheapest), but about WHAT and HOW buggies are used! Our almost-two-year-old sleeps in it without any problems. And that the wheels now and then rattle??? How else, when they are artificial, plastic, and it's also about the appearance and condition of the walkways. If they were foam, you would complain again that every pebble stays stuck in them.

Without any problems we climbed a historic castle on a hill (!!!), pebbly, unpaved road, pushing uphill, some bump, a hole. It is handled like any other buggy, I know what it is, I had more of them, even more expensive ones. Wake up, some of you, with one hand, you can't go straight with a buggy with twin handles in your life, and you can't go straight at all. And especially when you have a 15 kg kid sitting there... You buy an Elodie umbrella stroller for 350 euro and there wooon't be any stuck frame, wheels, no rattling, nooo ;-) I'm not a distributor, nor a manufacturer, nor an ambassador of the brand, but I just can't help wondering about the little things that some of the people highlighted in reviews as minuses. Get a grip.

I expected more

3
  • Good folding
  • Positioning
  • Large canopy
  • Ideal for the city and on holiday
  • Nice design
  • Difficult to handle
  • Not the lightest
  • Suitable for flat surfaces only, will not go over difficult terrain

I expected more from a stroller that costs 100 euros.

  • Large hood with window
  • Pocket for small things in the back
  • Lightweight
  • Doesn't take up much space
  • Easy folding
  • Large enough for baby
  • Price

I admit that I don't understand the negative reviews about this umbrella buggy. After reading them I was worried about what I was going to get, but I was pleasantly surprised. The stroller doesn't rattle, doesn't squeak, the construction is solid, it is comfortable for the child, it can handle every curb, it is easy to ride, it is not heavy. As a buggy it is absolutely great for summer. I definitely recommend it, I am satisfied with it.

Difficult to handle

2
  • Good, sturdy brake
  • Cannot be operated with one hand
  • Difficult to handle
  • Small shopping basket
  • Poor quality material
  • Need to constantly remove the belly bar when folding

Personally a big disappointment. The stroller was difficult to walk with. Difficult to handle. It is only suitable for flat surfaces, not bad, bumpy sidewalks. Definitely not suitable for a child who is not yet sitting independently. Suitable for short transfers or an easy holiday.

I have no serious reservations 😊

4
  • Compact
  • Lightweight
  • Spacious enough
  • Good handling - you can handle it with one hand while holding the baby with the other 😊
  • As I guess with all umbrella strollers, I kick the wheels when walking 😛 Maybe it's a habit from the big pushchairs, which after all have the wheels more stocky and further apart

We bought the stroller for vacation, or as a backup for the car, so we didn't have to keep folding the big sports car. It fulfills its function perfectly, I have no serious reservations 😊

Perfect for travelling, and affordable

5
  • Compact
  • Lightweight
  • Great for travelling
  • Legs can be positioned
  • Large shopping basket
  • Extended canopy
  • Can be put in full lie flat
  • You have to get used to it on rough terrain because it has no suspension - but that's normal for umbrella buggies

I am very happy with it. Perfect for travelling, and affordable.

Low quality of the buggy

1
  • Difficult to push
  • Not stable
  • You feel every bump and pothole
  • Low quality of the buggy

The stroller was bought only for holidays/a long car trips...
