Peg-Pérego Pliko P3 Compact

see 4 parent reviews

The Peg-Pérego Pliko P3 Compact is a rather robust umbrella stroller with many features of a full-sized stroller. The chassis is equipped with a suspension system used on four double wheels, which also provide the stroller with better stability. When folded, the telescopic handlebar enables the stroller to stand independently, so it will not take up much storage space. The built-in rear-footboard will handle up to 20 kg and can be used as a sibling board.

The padded seat is spacious even for bigger children. It can be reclined flat, making the stroller suitable even for a newborn. To provide even more comfort for the smallest babies, you can pair the seat up with an optional newborn insert or a nest. During summer days, you will appreciate the full-coverage hood that can be completely folded down like a sun shield.

The Pliko P3 comes equipped with the G-Matic system- the integrated attachment points that can be pulled out, enabling you to add the Primo Viaggio car seat to the stroller without the need for adapters. If you choose the Peg-Pérego Pliko P3 Compact Classico, all of the accessories have to be purchased separately. However, the Completo version comes with a rain cover and an apron included. The older models can be recognized by the hood with a closable viewing window with an extra pocket.

The Pliko P3 Compact was also available as a part of the modular system Pliko P3 Compact On Track Modular, that also allowed attaching a carrycot. The car seat and the carrycot were added to the stroller with the seat still in place. Alternatively, you could do so after removing the backrest and the seat cover.

Size can fit a larger toddler for napping.

I highly recommend it, even though it's an older model - you should look for a newer model if buying it. Large hood, reclining, leg positioning, wide backrest and size can fit a larger toddler for napping.

Thorough, lightweight yet sturdy

5

Thorough, lightweight yet sturdy umbrella style pushchair.

Absolutely shapable, foldable and maximally usable stroller. It is possible to put on a bath bassinet, a seat unit or a car seat on it - in the direction of travel or in the opposite direction. The pushchair's seat can be put into a full reclining position. It fits even in a small car. The only drawback for me is the golf clubs handles - I prefer a single handle when I can operate it with one hand. Otherwise great.

  • Compact and self-standing when folded
  • Large wheels (for an umbrella stroller)
  • Adapter-free clicking on the carrycot/car seat
  • Not sturdy
  • Uncomfortable seat
  • Not suitable for a tall person
  • The basket scratches on the bottom when you climb up a curb

It's compact, but not sturdy at all - I wasn't too happy with it, overall. The fold is OK, and it stands by itself when folded, I like that. The seat unit is not much in terms of comfort - you have to use a seat liner or a blanket under the child to make is sit on a soft surface. The canopy is average, but what I minded was that with every folding, it clicked itself off the stroller.

It is suitable for short parents - the handlebars do adjust, but it's not much help - a taller parent will kick the sibling stand. Other than that, the handles are nicely shaped and comfortable in hands.

The wheels are rather large - for an umbrella stroller, and there's even a light suspension - of course, nothing for all-terrain or snow, but nobody buys an umbrella stroller for that 😉

I had an older Peg-Pérego Pliko, which seemed to be sturdier and with better fabric and padding...

Your questions about the Peg-Pérego Pliko P3 Compact

1)

Does the Pliko 3P Compact fit the Chicco Keyfit30 infant seat?

Hi, Bri,

This depends, as very old models (2006) had a strap where you could attach pretty much any car seat with it. In general, however, no, the Keyfit line was not meant to be clicked on this pushchair - it was made to be compatible with the Primo Viaggio line of car seats.
