Nuna Pepp Next
The Nuna Pepp Next is a third generation of the compact urban Nuna Pepp buggy, and a continuation of the second generation - the Pepp Lux stroller. The Pepp Next is modern and renewed, bringing an insert in the seat, which, after removing, uncovers a mesh backrest ready for hot days. The harness was also upgraded and now needs no rethreading - it just slides up and down, depending on the needs of the child. The leatherette-covered handlebar, an enlarges basket, and a new, elegant black chassis color are additional of the Pepp Next enhancements.
Just like the second generation, the Pepp Next also allows for a deep-enough recline and a lifted leg rest. It is also compatible with a car seat (with adapters), making it suitable to use from birth. The Dream Drape sunshade is integrated into the canopy of the buggy just as it is present in the Nuna Pipa car seat. After folding, the Pepp Next stands by itself for easier storage, and it also can be pulled behind like luggage. You can buy your Pepp Next with a bumper bar, but also change that for a Snack Tray.

Parent reviews of the Nuna Pepp Next
- Large canopy with the integrated Dream Drape shade maker
- Driveability
- Compactness
- Backrest is perforated - ventilated for hot summer days
- Harness adjustment system
- Quality materials
- When you fold it, the canopy touches the front wheels, which means it will get dirty - old Nunas had it differently
- The wheels are still the same as the old ones, still rattling
- No rotating the bumper bar away, it has to be removed fully
- The handle smells (plastic-y/weirdness)
- Harness plastics are very thin, which I take as a big step back, afraid I will break it over time
When I was ordering it, I believed it's gonna be an 11/10 :-D I was unpleasantly surprised. The push is great, but some "improvements" are a step back. Driveability great, wheels the same (not good), still a small basket, but he canopy nice and large. The leather handle is not leather, it smells (12h) like cheap Chinese shoes - they changed the original, idk why...
- compactness
- manipulation
- weight
- extended canopy
- leather handle
- bumper bar
- leg rest adjustable
- none
We had a Nuna Pepp with my first daughter - she used it until her 4 years of age :-) So we decided to buy the newer model (Nuna Pepp Next) for my son as well. It's very compact, easy to push around, features an extendable canopy; perfect to put in your car.
Your questions about the Nuna Pepp Next
Hi, can Nuna Pipa Lite car seat be attached to Nuna Pepp Next stroller? How?
Hey, Gen,
Yes, with the adaters (you need to check whether and where to buy those in your country), the Nuna 0+ car seats can be attached to the Nuna Pepp Next.
Can you put the seat backwards (the child facing the person that pushes the stroller)?
Hi, Lia,
No, the seat can only face forward.
Hi, can the stroller without the car seat be used for newborns?
Hi, Suhani,
In theory, yes, as the recline is more than 150 degrees. I would, however, probably want to use it at least with some reducer insert or a universal cocoon to provide the newborn with a sense of protection, security.
Can you open and close the stroller with one hand and can it fit in an overhead compartment on the plane?
Hi, there, new mom,
The Nuna Pepp Next doesn't fit the overhead compartment on a plane, I am sorry. It is much too tall when folded for that (93.5 cm). This is a small, reasonably compact city buggy but not an ultra-compact travel stroller - read more here. Also, here are some examples of smaller, plane-friendly ultracompacts that were best this summer.
About the folding system, it is not one-handed either. You need to open both locks on the handlebar sides and push it in, then close again, and also, there are two pull-up levers on the sides that require both hands. You can check the folding in this video at 1:06.
Does it allow the child to sit straight upright 90 degrees? I have the Nuna Pepp Next but it does not sit 90degrees and wanted to clarify so I know mine is not faulty or something; thank u.
Hello,
No, unfortunately, the Nuna Pepp Next doesn't st completely upright, in a straight ninety-degree sitting position. Almost no compact model does - it's given by the focus on the low weight and compactness as well as a recline that is not lever-operated.
So there's nothing wrong with your Nuna - it is normal for it not to sit upright.
