Mountain Buggy Nano V2
The Mountain Buggy Nano V2 is a second generation of the ultra-lightweight, ultra-compact Nano, folding down in two easy steps to the size of a larger bag. The V2 version includes a couple of improvements. The new safety harness buckle allows you to click in the belts individually. For summer days, there is a larger hood with a sun visor extending further down, and the seatback features a mesh flap for better air circulation. The seat can be reclined fully, and with the backrest a little longer, even a bigger child can get a comfortable sleep.
This also makes the Nano V2 suitable from birth. The seat can also be paired with the Mountain Buggy Cocoon, which comes with its own hood. You can also add a car seat using straps and rubber bands hidden underneath the seat. The Nano V2, being a slim stroller with even slimmer wheels than before, is easily maneuverable through narrow streets. The minimalistic dimensions and rather open seating destine the Nano V2 mainly for travel. However, thanks to the many optional accessories, the Nano could also be used as a main stroller for active parents or more demanding parents with less storage space. Accessories you can purchase separately include: a bumper bar, a winter seat liner, a footmuff, skis suitable for sand or snow, and a Freerider scooter that can be added to the chassis as a sibling board. The Nano V2 was also released in limited editions - the Year of Monkey (2016), the Year of Rooster (2017) or the Year of the Dog (2018), including a matching seat liner.

Parent reviews of the Mountain Buggy Nano V2
- Very lightweight
- Folds into a minimal size (I own a Hyundai Atos, and I can fit it in the car boot with room for a mid-sized suitcase)
- Easy, one-hand manipulation
- A practical tray for snacks and a drink
- Small wheels
- I missed a 'parent' pocket somewhere - no place for my keys and phone, I had to buy a bag to put on the handlebar
- Higher price, considering all the additional accessories you have to buy separately
I needed a stroller that folds into a minimal size while having a single handlebar. The price reflected that though - because it's different, to pay a hundred - or three times more - for a buggy. Shame that the rain cover nor the child tray aren't included.
Your questions about the Mountain Buggy Nano V2
I’m travelling to Japan with a 9 yo who weights about 25 kgs. Would this be suitable for her as we will be doing a lot of walking and she will get tired and is too heavy to carry?
Hiya,
I will disappoint you now, I guess, but I would never ever go for this for a 9-year-old. I know you're traveling and so you're looking for a travel stroller, but they are made so small to fit the cabin luggage requirements that no matter what the weight capacity of it is, the seat will be way too short and narrow, resulting in your daughter to have her head bumping into the canopy and being squeezed into the seat all over. You will have to check something larger. Either at least with a higher backrest (like the Joolz Aer or the Bugaboo Butterfly which I think will still be small for her) - optimally, it should be something you will need to gate check, like the Baby Jogger City Mini2 that simply has more space in the seat. It is well worth the extra money and gate-checking, otherwise she will moan all the time in the seat, I believe.
