I wouldn't choose it again.

I am not happy with it at all. I was recommended this stroller, but nothing works smoothly on it. All the features seem like a good idea, but all the moving parts somehow get stuck regularly. The seat and the basket both are on the smaller side, so... IDK, I wouldn't choose it again.

Best for the start

  • Price
  • Deisgn
  • Rotating base
  • Brake
  • Bulky fold
  • Basket size and accessibility

I bought it for the idea of easy reversing the seat and the carrycot - and it's truly a nice feature. Though, not so practical if you are used to hang your nappy bag on the handle.

The steering is not the easiest, I guess it's because of the wider base of the pram. The easy flip-flop-friendly brake is a big plus from my side. I also like that the rain cover is included.

The frame is easy enough to fold, though it is very bulky in my boot. Not the best option for parents with smaller cars.

The basket to me is on the smaller side, and it is not easy to put anything but small items inside. So I would maybe change that if I could.

I like the design and the price. I can recommend it because of those. It is best for the start, though - later, something less chunky and more lightweight will be better to use.

  • 2in1 pram and pushchair
  • Rain cover fits well
  • Cool swivel carrycot/seat feature
  • The steering is not the smoothest
  • Wheels lock by themselves sometimes
  • The brake got broken

I can see how this pram is a value for money - I mean, it is reasonably light and looks great. The fold is too bulky for my taste, and the basket - well, not good at all. I also tried out other prams to find out that the steering in this one is not the best, and we had to have the brake repaired after a few months.

Other than that, the pram looks more expensive than it was, and many features are practical.

Good for the city

  • looks great 😍
  • OK, folding-wise
  • versatile
  • suspension
  • basket

I like the pram a lot. It is good for the city. We drive a Seat Leon and it fits in it. I maybe expected more from the shock-absorbers. You don't feel any suspension at all. So I won't recommend it for terrain. One more thing to complain about... I cannot fit much into the basket -_-

Later, with a toddler, not so great

3
  • Nice price for a 2in1 pram
  • Bassinet is nice
  • Small seat!
  • Driving and getting up a curb with the seat facing forward
  • Bulky and on the heavy side

For a newborn, a great budget option. Later, with a toddler, not so great. The seat is simply too small. Also, the driving is so much harder when you use it as a pushchair that is fron-facing. Getting up a curb is a nightmare.

  • price
  • look
  • wobbly - not stable enough
  • seat unit is so small

I don't know if that is the price to pay for the rotating upper portion of the chassis, but ours feels so wobbly and not sturdy at all. Also, I cannot believe this will last up to 3 years. The seat unit is somewhat small.

I don't love the two-piece fold

4
  • Rotating handle
  • Cosy toes included
  • Two-piece fold
  • Basket

I couldn't resist the cool rotating feature and the fact that it's all in one, pram easily convertible into a seat. The cosy toes are included, which is great for the price. I don't love the two-piece fold, meaning you have to take it apart and it also takes up a lot of space then in the car trunk. The storage space is also not the strongest point of the Orb.

  • look
  • price
  • steering
  • quality
  • room for the child

We had numerous problems with it that had to be repaired. Also, my little princess grew out of it around one year of age.

The stroller looks nice, but the price is, unfortunately, reflected in its quality.

Nice value for money

4
  • Easy reversibility
  • Looks much more expensive than it was
  • Value for money
  • The car seat installation and removing not the smoothest

We love it. Such a nice value for money. Used it 20 months with our first, and cannot wait to use it with our second (on the way 🤩).

The bassinet is so very cosy. The seat not so much - the little one cannot sleep on the size in the anatomic seat, and the space is also limited there.

Your questions about the Mothercare Orb

1)

How do I fold the pram?

Hi, Quay,

I am attaching a link to the Mothecare Orb manual on the page 27 whee the how-to-fold part starts.

Also, here, in the video at about 00:50, the lady folds the stroller:

Cheers!

2)

Hi, would the Maxi-Cosi Citi car seat fit the Orb with the adapters?

Hey, Vickie,

Yes, with adaptors, a Maxi-Cosi car seat can be attached to this pram. However, it has to be adapters specifically for this pram, not any ones.

Hi,

I have the Mothercare Orb, I’ve looked on eBay at the adapters for car seats, does the Joie Gemm fit the adapters as they are Maxi Cosy style..?

Heya, Vickie,

Yes, the Joie Gemm should fit the Maxi-Cosi adapters for the Mothercare Orb.
