Moon ReSea S
The Moon ReSea S is an improved version of the ReSea for 2019/2020. This stroller system boasts a more compact fold (even with the seat still attached) and a higher weight capacity of 22 kg - good news, predominantly for urban parents. Thanks to a chassis with suspension and its rubber wheels, the ReSea S can handle cracked pavements and other uneven terrains. The fabrics with a stylish structured, the minimalistic lines, and the leatherette details emphasize the luxurious look of this stroller even more. The additional pocket in the hood increases the storage space of the already spacious shopping basket that also features a separate rear pocket for smaller bits and pieces. A new feature of the newer Moon stroller systems (including the ReSea S) is the Circ Air system. Combined with the Träumeland mattress, the breathable materials of the Circ Air system create a pleasant climate for your baby.
The reversible seat unit can be reclined flat in both directions. For the comfort of your baby, the seat is softly padded and equipped with an extendable, ventilated hood. The spacious carrycot is ready for the youngest of babies. Alternatively, you can use the car seat adapters with Maxi-Cosi type attachments, which are part of the ReSea S set, together with a rain cover. Any other accessories are available separately. The Moon ReSea S is also available as only a stroller (without the carrycot) in the ReSea Sport version.

Parent reviews of the Moon ReSea S
- Easy manipulation
- Quality materials and finishes
- No option to cover the storage basket
- The frame scratches easily
The stroller is spacious, sturdy, easy to handle. It is easy to fold and stow in the trunk of the car (or anywhere in the apartment or house). The advantage is also the possibility of extending the canopy so that it does not blow in or the sun does not shine on the little one, as well as the mesh for ventilation. I would have welcomed some fastening on the canopy, as the top fabric is too easy to roll up.
- Nice, modern stroller
- Easy folding
- Large enough basket under the stroller, for my essentials
- Large wheels
- Solid chassis (does not rattle)
- I haven't found any shortcomings after eight months of use, maybe only the size of the seat part, but until two years I'm sure it's OK
A convenient stroller, even for cars like Peugeot 5008, Touran, Zafira the lower frame part can be left without folding, and with the seat part there is no need to fold at all. Of course in lower cars, you need to fold it but it is very easy.
I was very satisfied with the bassinet. However, the baby was born at the end of February, so I did not use the footmuff. The sports part is smaller, I'm a bit afraid that with a two-year-old baby we will have to deal with the second buggy - the little one seems to me to be taller. We will see. I'm also using it on rough terrain and everything is absolutely fine, it can handle lighter terrain.
I'm happy with the choice.
- sturdy
- reliable
- smaller seat unit (up to maybe 2 years of age)
Very happy with the purchase. Sturdy, reliable.
- light
- elegant
- wobbly
It's nice and light, but the bassinet and seat wobble very much on the chassis. I cannot recommend it.
A fantastic push. And a fantastic price. This is THE stroller system to get when on a budget.
- Modern design
- Small folded size
- Could be sturdier in the click-on points area
- Could have a sifter suspension
- Seat is very open, buy a very good cosy toes with it
Modern and elegant, and doesn't take much space in the boot.
- compact and lightweight
- fabrics
A beautiful-looking pram, and reasonably lightweight. I also like the fold. I am not the biggest fan of the fabrics, my son sweats inside on a warm day.
- colour
- folding
- maneuvering
- upright-enough seat
- rain cover smell
- if only the seat and the sun hood were longer...
I love the grey melange and the nice, compact folding. It is easy to maneuver. And you can use it with a car seat.
The rain cover smelled badly, like chemicals. But it disappeared after some time on the balcony.
- high-positioned bassinet
- very affordable price
- looks fantastic
- pushes well, even over terrain
- weight
- seat seems on the smaller, open side
- I cannot get the knack of the fold still
I love that the bassinet is so high. I hurt all over after giving birth, and this is such a help. Also, it is roomy and comfy for the baby. The seat feels a bit open, and I'd make it a bit longer, but it is a compact pram, so I get why. We're happy with it.
Your questions about the Moon ReSea S
Hi Eli,
I'm just wondering whether you know if there's been an updated version of the Moon Resea S in 2021 or so? It seems the specs are slightly different now, especially the height of the back rest in the stroller version, which a few parents in the comments here and Stiftung Warentest (German Conumser organisation, but you probably already know that ;)) criticized in the 2020 model. Thanks in advance!
Veronika
Hey, Veronika,
There for sure was an update - I mean, most manufacturers update their strollers slightly from year to year. I did not notice the exact change of measurements, however know that the stroller evolved from Moon Resea to the S model, and also Moon ReSea Sport pushchair models. It is absolutely possible they changed the dimensions over time, and also sometimes it happens they change the dimensions for certain markets (only).
I am pretty sure the newer ReSeas are better than the older ones, however with this frame size and a reversible seat, even with a bit taller seatback the seat will be on the smaller side, and you should count on that when buying it (you most probably will need a more spacious, forward-facing buggy later on).
Hi,
Due to budget, I am considering buying new Moon ReSea S or a 5 years old Bugaboo Buffalo. I know Bugaboo is quite superior, but considering the time of usage, I am interested in whether normal tear and wear would still make it a better choice than Moon ReSea S?
Thank you!
Hey, mimi,
In general, yes, a 5 years old stroller, especially a better one like the Buffalo, should be totally ok. However, you need to check it beforehand - it always depends on how the original owners treated it, and so you should check for rust, a lot of loosenesses, damage, and so on. If all looks reasonable, the Bugaboo Buffalo should be, in my eyes, the higher quality choice - however, you should only go for it if you need something more all terrain. The ReSea is smaller, more compact, but also more urban - which, in a city and undemanding walks can be a bis positive. If you will need more terrain-capable pram though, go for the Buff.
Hi there,
I am between the Moon Resea S and the Cybex Balios S. Would you be able to give your opinion on what’s the best option in your opinion? I’m also happy to hear about other suggestions 😃
I live in Berlin and both options are on the same price range.
Thanks for your help 🙏
Hiya, Gabriel,
Actually two very nice middle class choices, and both have their pluses (and cons, too). I personally would probably go for the Balios S as the seat there is larger, meaning it will last you better. I also am not as much into closed baskets, the storage space becomes a bit too restricted for me personally.
However, the ReSea is sturdier, and even a bit more compact, frame-wise, and overall moms quite praise the small but nimble, durable frame as well as the bassinet which is btw quite high on the chassis, which comes in handy right after giving birth.
The decision comes down to this - if you're looking at a starter pram, mainly the bassinet and a short period of ue of the seat unit, the Moon ReSea is probably the better choice. If you mean to use the seat longer, too, then the Cybex Balios S is probably the better option.
