Your questions about the Mikado Duet Lux

1)

Where can I get the leg apron for Duet double stroller, plz?

Hey, Clare,

Just from the people selling this brand and model, ideally the seller you bought it at, or directly from the manufacturer. You can try to contact the seller or the brand's customer service, they might (but also might not, as this is a cheaper Polish brand, not always providing spare parts).

I wish you the best of luck!

I have the Mikado Duet and would like to know where I can but adaptors for the car seats. Would a universal adaptor work? If not where can I buy the Mikado car seats?

Hi, Linz,

I am sorry to say there's no universal adaptor set - not just for this pram, but for no other as well. All car seat adapters are made so that the lower part fits the particular stroller's attachment system and their upper part the car seat attachment system. So each stroller has its own, different adapters - only some frames from the same brand or the same manufacturer (of different stroller brands) might be interchangeable. This is even more prominent with double strollers where the adapters are even fitted to the frame width and the different stroller configurations, so no way of going around the fact that you definitely need ONLY the Mikado Duet dedicated car seat adaptors.

In this case, the adapters are usually bought right when buying the stroller system - asking for them while buying the stroller at the given seller. What you can do here is pretty much just two things - contacting the seller you bought your pram at (or any seller of the Mikado brand), asking for the adapters to e ordered for you; OR contacting the manufacturer's customer service, asking for the same thing.

It might be that with such a low-cost, Polish brand, you won't be able to get them - but it's worth trying and you might get lucky, finding a helpful seller or service person. Worst comes to worst, browse classifieds to check whether someone with the same pram doesn't sell it, asking just for the adapters... if nothing, you'll simply won't be able to carry the capsules on the frame, just in the car (possibly getting a more lightweight, simpler pushchair for just traveling).

I have the 3 in one and wanting to get a raincover to cover the carrycots do you know where I can get one from?

Also, the carseats have no covers on them any ideas where to get some from?

x

Hey, Ky,

If the seller didn't provide any rain covers to your double pram, you should be getting any universally fitting double one (ask around in the shops in person, don't buy a double for two carrycot-pram because they might just not fit)... OR two single universal rain covers. I would suggest something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Playshoes-Travel-Universal-Pushchair-Stroller/dp/B01GUVJVP2/ref=sr_1_15?dchild=1&keywords=twin+pram+carrycot+rain+cover&qid=1629030191&sr=8-15

With the car seats, do you also mean rain covers? Rarely the travel system/car seat configurations are equipped with rain covers. I would either use the one for seat units or carrycots or just not use any... A car seat, anyhow, is NOT a way any child should be transported regularly for longer periods of time. Maximum half an hour for traveling in the car, to walk longer in the shops or regular walks, absolutely do take a carrycot of a seat unit with you for your babies. The not-laying position of the car seats does put a strain on their necks and spines too much.

And if you meant a cover for the legs.. a good car seat footmuff will be enough - it will do. Get something like a Lodger Mini Bunker or any of the sorts; you'll find so many uni ones of googling 'car seat footmuff'... 😉

Or get a cosytoes fitting pretty much anything - like https://www.amazon.co.uk/BundleBean-Grey-Elephant-universal-waterproof/dp/B00PLL5ZTE/ref=sxin_12_trr_60264031_2?cv_ct_cx=car+seat+footmuff&dchild=1&keywords=car+seat+footmuff&pd_rd_i=B00PLL5ZTE&pd_rd_r=31272d4a-3391-47cd-b840-6e070559cb29&pd_rd_w=wyepb&pd_rd_wg=ipMWd&pf_rd_p=1d13bff8-47cf-4a87-a6dc-3d450fd9093d&pf_rd_r=ZZJASY1JJFZ0BY7V9285&qid=1629030455&sr=1-3-439ac954-ad46-4ba0-bd86-480f8aab80ed.

Hi!

I have bought a Mikado Duet Lux Twin stroller. And its missing two screws. How can I get the two screws? Can you maybe send it? Or do you sell it somewhere?

Its a lovely pram and i really would like to have it.

My mail is j-annaa@hotmail.com and I live in Gothenburg Sweden

Hello there,

I would actually think of returning it first - I mean, you got a new pram and already without two screws. Anyway, if you wish to keep it, I would contact the seller (the place you bought it) - they should resolve this issue. Another way is to contact the producer directly; they should be able to help: https://mikado.pl/en/Contact/?set=true The last thing I would suggest would be to go to any shop with screws and any other parts for repairs, and there showed what is missing - maybe they could measure and help you out as well.
