Parent reviews of the Inglesina Aptica XT
- The stand is very practical
- In the Soft mode it drives fantastically - on any terrain
- Folding and unfolding with one hand only
- The folded base can be pulled behind like a piece of luggage
- Large, long bassinet
- Quality materials and finishes
- I foud none so far :)
The first pram I fell in love with, and even after trying many more in the shops, I went back to this one and bought it. The bassinet is spacious enough, and the car seat is also nice. I cannot express how I am grateful for the stand for home use, I am using it non-stop in our living room. We did not try the seat unit yet.
- narrow
- beautiful
- luxurious
- spacious - both the bassinet and the seat unit
- comfortable
- nice wheels with suspension
- hood - large bot wobbly
- not the smallest after folding
It was love at first sight for me. I like that I can see through it (I am 5′ 2″), and I also love the mattress in the carrycot - my baby is so snug in it... A beauty, but also practical, this pram.
So much better in terms of wheel size and suspension. I love the luxury look. It will pass through quite some terrain, but nothing really off-road.
My partner is not that excited about the height of the pram since he is rather tall. Also, I would make the hood more sturdy. Otherwise, very happy with it.
Your questions about the Inglesina Aptica XT
Hello, I have the Aptica XT but I also now have another baby on the way. When my second is born my first will only be 17 months old. She isn’t at the age yet to be doing long walks without rest so am trying so hard to find a buggy board with a seat that will work on the inglesina chassis. I don’t mind having to take it off every time.
I need to collapse the chassis, I just need something that is going to work.
I have seen the ride along that goes along the side but can’t see that being practical in shops.
I’m feeling really stuck and also panicking that I only have a couple of months left!
Please help!
Hi, Abbyy,
You need to always remember a buggy board will never be super practical in shops, even if behind the stroller, as it makes the steering harder and takes away the space for your feet. That being said, just look at the Bumprider buggy board or the Lascal Buggyboard Maxi. These two fit pretty much universally, are easy enough to attach and have the option to get an additional seat. It will, of course, never be a full-featured seat, just a little kind of bench to add, so you may not like that... but if that were so, I would recommend a double stroller or the side seat, especially for a one-and-a-half-year-old..
Has anyone had any issues with the wheels at the front? One keeps locking.
The other issue has been it’s gets very clogged up so they cannot go round. Anyone experienced this?
Hi there, and sorry for your troubles.
I did not hear of this problem before, so I cannot really tell you if others experienced such a problem, but at least the locking wheel I can tell you is a fault of the stroller and you cannot fix it. You should definitely claim your warranty if you can, contact the seller and describe your problem so they can take care of fixing the problem.
The clogging, I'm afraid, might be just a design problem they will not fix for you. Try regularly cleaning them, always after a few walks. But be sure to ask the seller about it, too.
