iCandy Strawberry
The iCandy Strawberry is a lightweight, elegant stroller from 2010. Compared to the other iCandy stroller, the Strawberry is more affordable. The curved chrome chassis is matching the frame of the seat and the carrycot. The wide, four-wheel suspension is designed to handle some more demanding, although predominantly urban terrain. The back of the long, but rather shallow shopping basket can be tilted downward for better access. The Punnet, a hard, closable pocket, where you can store a rain cover, is located under the seat, complementing the shopping basket. A unique property of this stroller is the one-handed fold with the seat still attached, no matter what direction it’s in. Thanks to the memory fold, the stroller unfolds itself into the same position that was in place before the folding.
The reversible seat can be adjusted up to a fully reclined sleeping position. You have to buy the hood, and the matching seat insert separately in a kit called the Flavour Pack, allowing you to customize your stroller. There are also many other accessories available. The chassis can be paired with the optional foldable carrycot, or with a car seat with adapters.
Thanks to the long backrest and high weight capacity, the seat unit can handle an older child. It can be reclined flat; therefore, the Strawberry is suitable from birth. The newborn Cocoon will make the comfort of a newborn, even if right in the seat unit, much higher. Using the front zipper, the newborn Cocoon can be transformed into a soft seat liner. With adapters, the chassis will accommodate an optional car seat. There are also many other accessories available.

Parent reviews of the iCandy Strawberry
- Light
- Stylish
- Roomy
- Asjustable position of the bucket seat
- Harder to fold
- Lower-positioned bassinet (but adjustable handle)
An excellent, ultra lightweight stroller. Beautiful design, really spacious bassinet.
- It’s small so you can get in and out of doorways easily
- The front wheels constantly get clogged with mud leaves and dirt in the winter making it literally unpushable
I couldn’t use this pushchair.
- lightweight chassis
- easy to fold
- rubber wheels
- narrow
- stylish
- not suitable for difficult terrain
- not suitable for snow
- not the best for tall people
An excellent stroller. I used it with all my 3 kids. I am pleased with it and would not change my decision. It is lightweight and easy to fold. It gives me everything I need from a stroller. We live in a city, and it is an urban-type, that is the reason why I cannot comment about any of its disadvantages. It is not a stroller for bad terrain, long hikes, or snow. This should be taken into account when buying it.
Your questions about the iCandy Strawberry
What age can I use this buggy to, please? My son is 13 months, and I've just bought a stroller because I thought he was too big for the iCandy strawberry.
Hello, there,
The iCandy Strawberry's weight limit might be 25 kg, but the seat is, in my opinion, way too small for a 25kg = approx. 6-7-year-old child. The reality is such that a 2-year-old, maximum a 30-months-old child will fit in it. If your son is only 13 months old, he should be able to fit inside, however, if in winter (with a thick footmuff and more layers of clothes), or if it's a larger child, he might have overgrown his stroller already.
It is rather normal for parents to need 2 strollers over the time - I wrote more on the reversible-seat pushchairs and their smaller seat space and other disadvantages in this article if you'd want to know more... But yes, 13 months seems a bit too young an age to already be in need of a change.
