Your questions about the Hauck Lift Up 4
Hi,
Is it suitable to use when jogging or running?
Hello,
No, this stroller is not at all suitable for sports; the base is not long enough, and the frame is not sturdy enough. This model is for undemanding city walks.
Hi,
How do you clean the textiles? Hood and seat - as they cannot be removed?
Hello, Jade,
There are many ways to clean a pram or a pushchair, and machine washing would actually be the worst from the long-term point of view. My first advice would be to wipe clean it (actually, WaterWipes are my best friend in here as they clean so so well when it's not a heavy stain) or to use a foaming product that is normally used on the seats in a car.
I actually wrote the whole guide about stroller cleaning maintenance (read here), it will make it clearer to you - it's a bit of a long read, but it will help you clean and maintain your stroller in a good condition (so it's worth reading) 😉
Good luck!
How do you get a repair done on the buggy, as I bought one for my granddaughter and the brake is now stuck on and it can’t be moved? We have tried taking the wheels off but this doesn’t work.
Thank you
Hello, Jo,
I must say an average, non-technical person won't simply repair the brake (or any other broken part, for that matter) - usually, technicians repair these - or engineer-like dads ;-) If I were you, I would, however, first try to clean it from any hair, dust, and so on, then lubricate it (here's our stroller cleaning and maintenance guide if you'd need more about that). It is possible that even after cleaning and oiling, nothing will change - if the brake is broken, that is.
Then, the next step should be contacting the seller or any official distributor of the Hauck brand - they should help with the repair or at least recommend a service to take it to to be repaired. Usually, shops selling the same brand also have a place they send faulty pieces, so ask around anywhere Hauck is being sold.
The last resort would be contacting the Hauck customer service - they might help you out with at least an advice.
I wish you good luck, and please let other parents and grandparents know your experience with the pushchair you own by leaving a review of the Hauck Lift Up 4, please, it will help other people with their decision-making.
Many thanks, and stay safe!
Can a childs buggy board be attached to the pushchair for a second child?
Hello, yes, theoretically, yes, a universal one (like a Lascal Buggy Board or a Bumprider) can be attached to this pushchair. However, you need to take into account that the space for your feet will be smaller with it, and also, that it will overload the chassis, and it may become, over a longer time, less sturdy or in some other way weak. It's a known issue for using a sibling board.
