GB Hardy

DISCONTINUED in 2014
see 10 parent reviews

The GB Hardy is a stroller with a 2in1 reversible seat. You can create a carrycot from the seat simply by unfastening the buckles. In addition, it is characterized by the hybrid recline, making it possible to treat the seat as a bucket seat as well as a traditional seat. It can be reclined by tilting or by using the strap. The large air-filled tires make this stroller suitable for urban surfaces as well as a slightly rougher terrain. Another advantage is the extra large extendable hood. The fixed handle is suitable for taller parents. A full-featured hard carrycot is also available for this stroller if you prefer it. You can even buy a complete 3in1 stroller system, or purchase the carrycot and/or the car seat separately to create any desired set.

The seat part of the stroller is super practical as it can be unfolded into a full-size bassinet in seconds.

  • Durable and stable, no tackling it over
  • Nice-looking
  • The seat part can lie completely flat as well as form a bucket-shape
  • The seat part is reversible in the parent- and world-facing mode
  • The car seat clicks right on the frame is clicked
  • The car seat is really great, sturdy, and looks safe
  • There is an apron, a mosquito net, a rain cover against the rain
  • The wheels are really big and inflatable, it will go over any terrain
  • Spacious
  • It could be a little smaller after folding, I have a hatchback car a and it fit (but almost didn't)

My beloved pram, it survived the first babe without any damage and I have kept it for the second... I fell in love with it at first sight.

It has super large inflatable wheels and the seat part can be parent- as well as world-facing, which I used to the fullest. It is spacious, and my son was big (!). You can adjust the seat / bassinet in any way, you can click the matching car seat without any adapters, the baby is safe inside, no way to tackle this over or make it fall in any way...

I have only one mini-downside about its size after folding – it could be a little smaller, so do measure your car trunk if you have a small car :-)

I am delighted 👌🏻

  • Perfect 2in1 👌🏻 bassinet and seat unit in one
  • Reversible
  • Easy to push
  • The handlebar is not adjustable
  • Weight of the pram - but at least I lost my extra weight 🤣

I am delighted 👌🏻 I was looking for a pram where I do not have to change the bassinet for the seat unit.

Multifunctional

Big, heavy, but spacious and versatile.

The best stroller system

The best stroller system I could choose.

The best travel system there is

For us, this is the best travel system there is. Spacious - so much space for the baby. The only downside is that is it's quite heavy for me.

Almost perfect

4

This pushchair is almost perfect:
Big inflatable wheels
A hood that can be pulled down to cover the kid completely
A seat unit that can be fully reclined
Easy to fold and put in the trunk of the car

It is a bit harder to push and is more suitable for taller mommies - the handlebar cannot be adjusted.

  • design + pretty&bold fabrics
  • all-terrain air-filled wheels
  • comfortable carrycot, car seat (clicked on without any adapters) as well as the seat unit
  • heavy
  • bulky after folding (in small cars, get whole car boot will be taken up by this stroller)
  • popping up curbs is not the easiest
  • the fixed handlebar is better for the taller moms (for me, 176cm, is adequate)

The GB Hardy took my attention me with the really low (sale) price for the entire 3in1 set - as well as with the bold design and the versatility of the seat unit that can be transformed into a pramette type of carrycot. However, since the full-featured, hard-bottom carrycot was also a part of the set, we did not use the 2in1 seat unit-to-carrycot feature very often. The full-featured carrycot was nice, firm bottom plus great padding over it perfectly padded. My little one was very snug in it. The same goes for the GB car seat, which had excellent - high sides and looked very safe and high-quality. The seat itself was spacious enough (and very spacious for a 2in1 type - some in this category are very small when the part converts to a seat unit). It can be positioned as a regular bucket-type seat unit, but also with a rear strap to a more "traditional" recline (like this, however, not to a full lie-flat) - we really used both, depending on how it suited our son at the time.

The chassis doesn't feature much of a suspension, but thanks to the air-filled wheels, the ride was, in my opinion, perfectly okay - we didn't miss a dedicated suspension. A worse kind of terrain didn't shake our little one in any non-pleasant way. The folded Hardy was not the most pleasant to load into the trunk - it is rather large and heavy. Because of the handle being non-adjustable, it may not suit everyone - and also, some force was needed to get the stroller up a curb (nothing disastrous - I had others with a much worse curb-popping ability). It pushed well, and my husband liked it very much. We only had a puncture once - actually thanks to my father-in-law who was pushing it a forest off-road (so I can say that it's actually a stroller good for off-road as well 😃).

For me - a nice, and for that price a very good stroller (system), also great for, for example, the countryside or a village life, where it is - in addition to functional - also stylish.
