I have a giggle 2 in 1 which is the mix but all in one fabric. We have a small hatchback (Hyundai i10) and we were drawn in by the marketing claiming it was small boot friendly, and fit comfortably in the boot of a Fiat 500.

Though it does fit in the boot, it does not lay flat or leave much space for other items. The carrycot also has to go in the back seat. Overall it has been a lovely pram and stroller, but our child is higher on the percentile chart and maxed out the carrycot early - fussing over the lack of room.

The bumper bar buttons are not easy to operate (impossible with longer nails), and the design means it swings shut far too easily, having fallen on little one on more than one occasion. The recline is two-handed and again the buttons are quite stiff, and it's difficult to push in both buttons and adjust the seat angle with the weight of the little one in the seat. I do have weaker wrists, but family and friends have also struggled (little one is only 11kg at the moment). The storage basket is deceivingly spacious but difficult to access in most seat positions.

Overall it was robust enough to go on dog walks over grass and gravel easily, and I think the dimensions would be good in most standard hatchbacks or above, allowing plenty of storage room as well. The price was amazing, the convertible seat unit also means less to store, and the fabrics are gorgeous quality and patterns.

It's beautiful and nicely lightweight. I especially liked to use it with the carrycot - I am not as happy with the shaped seat, it's not a flat position.

Good maneuvering in the city

  • Easy steering
  • Easy cleaning
  • Lightweight
  • Small basket
  • Hard-to-access basket with the bassinet
  • Scratches easily
  • Not so sturdy frame - it wobbles a bit

Good maneuvering in the city. On the other hand, the frame wobbles a bit, and I tend to kick the brake. The basket could be better, to be honest.
