Chicco Viaro

see 2 parent reviews

The Chicco Viaro is a lightweight stroller with a forward-facing, non-reversible seat that is promoted to be newborn friendly thanks to its travel system compatibility. The Chicco Keyfit car seats don't even need any adapters to be clicked over the seat with a deep (even though not really a full) recline. As an affordable pushchair/travel system, the Viaro is straightforward and functional, mainly thanks to quick manipulation - and even a one-handed fold. The chassis features three-wheels (the front wheel is doubled for better stability) for maximum urban agility. The easy-to-access, spacious storage basket is also a bonus that is even complemented by more storage in the form of child's tray, and parent tray, both equipped with cup holders and both included with the stroller. The Viaro can be bought as a pushchair-only as well as a pre-made travel system with a car seat, or even with a base, depending on what suits you best.

parents say thx^^
  • Our Chicco KeyFit30 car seat clicks in and out so easily
  • Super easy one-handed fold
  • Really big, easily accessible basket
  • Handles rough terrain fairly well (not as good as my baby jogger GT2, but will go up our muddy, rocky driveway)
  • Cupholders included as standard
  • Baby-bar with cupholder included as standard
  • A bit bulky - I've had trouble getting into (very) small Ubers
  • Not beautiful haha
  • Doesn't recline super-flat

Great value option if you have a Chicco car seat. We picked this up super cheap secondhand because we had problems with all the newborn options we purchased for our main BabyJogger GT2 stroller (wrong version of the bassinet, car seat adaptors are poor quality, and live abroad) and were pleasantly surprised with how good it is. At 6 months it's still my stroller of choice for Uber trips as the carseat attaches so easily and the stroller folds easily.

  • Affordable
  • Adapter-free click-on car seat (that is also safe)
  • Lightweight
  • One-hand fold
  • Spacious enough
  • High weight capacity
  • My child pulls the hood down all the time! And there's no extension on it
  • Not fancy, not pretty, you get what you paid for
  • No leg rest adjustment
  • No adjusting the handlebar
  • Foam handlebar
  • A bit bulky for a non-reversible stroller
  • Foam wheels show signs of use quite soon

You get what you paid for. It's a simple, non-fancy stroller/travel system for non-fancy people - for a nice price. The driveability is nice, but nothing for uneven terrain. One hand fold is also nice. Not the most compact stroller, though. It is, however, lightweight. I am missing an adjuastable handlebar, and I also ordered a cover for the handlebar, because I don't like the foam.

My lil' guy has enough space in it, but I wish the leg rest could be positioned. The reclined position is not a lay-flat.

And one more thing. I hate the hood. It's not extendable, and also, it is "floating", meaning the child can pull it forward any time he sees fit. It's driving me little nuts :-)
