Chicco Echo

see 1 parent review

The Chicco Echo is an affordable umbrella stroller with simple functions, suitable to have as a secondary or occasional stroller. Thanks to the lightweight chassis featuring just subtle suspension at the front, and four double wheels, the Echo is suitable for undemanding urban walks and flat surfaces. A stylish detail of the chassis is matching the distinctively colorful fabrics to catch your eye.

The seat can be recline deep enough to suit even children that cannot sit independently yet. However, because of the limited padding and seatbelt adjustment, it is more suitable for older children (six months up at least). The Echo comes with a rain cover, and a cup holder included. This stroller was also released in special editions such as the cosmic-themed Galaxy and the rainbow Pixie. The western market version is sold without a bumper bar.

Your questions about the Chicco Echo

1)

Is the stroller safe for 4 months old? Is it good for air travel?

Hey, Ayesha,

If you'd be using it only fully reclined, and ideally, with some reducer insert, good footmuff, or a soft cot inside, it can be used with a four-month-old baby. However, more as an occasional stroller, as the suspension and padding are not totally optimal for such small babies, this I would use as an only stroller from about 1 year, or at least from 6 months up.

About plane travel, this stroller will not be able to be taken on board as cabin luggage; it is too long after folding for that. You can, however, check it in or, with some airlines, take it as baby's luggage (stewards take it from you when boarding and return it when you're getting off the plane), but this option is not available with all airlines so you need to check with the airline of your choice. In nay case, the stroller is light and simple, so ok for travel, just not if you need it to fit the cabin luggage requirements.
