CBX Onida Flex

The CBX Onida Flex is a minimalistic, urban stroller with a reasonable price tag. Thanks to the bucket-type seat that can be easily transformed into a form of carrycot by undoing the clasp and pulling the lever, the Flex is suitable for newborns too. The stroller is also boasting a large shopping basket, a relatively compact fold and easy click-on compatibility with the Shima car seat. It also comes with an apron included.

Parent reviews of the CBX Onida Flex
We have had endless issues with this pram - and it’s wheels. It got to the point where we can’t even push the pram. The wheels keep getting stuck making it extremely difficult for us to use. We took it to Chellino and were told that we cannot return it and will have to send it in for service, which means we will be without a pram throughout December. We are left angry and frustrated because taking our baby out is a complete disaster with this pram.
- 2in1 seat + bassinet - no need to store an extra bassinet after the first few months
- Easy switching from the bassinet part to the seat unit version
- Intuitive manipulation with the whole system
- Comfort for my baby - she was happy in it
- Seat liner, apron included
- Good wheel quality
- Large storage space
- I seriously disliked the two-hand recline by side buttons. How much easier would it be with one rear lever..?
- Canopy size when reclined
- The clicking of the canopy
- No adjustment of the handlebar
- Short apron (but apron being included is actually an advantage)
- Foam handlebar (I scratched it)
- Smaller seat unit - up to 18~20 months approx.
- Seat unit needs to be removed to fold the chassis
- Smaller wheels
- Bumper bar only removable, not gate-opening
Very nice, even though super simple, for the first year and a half. We swapped for a lightweight stroller after that.
For this price, I have no complaints. A perfect starter stroller system for a single mum on a budget that doesn't know yet what she needs.
Your questions about the CBX Onida Flex
Good day,
I have the Onida Flex stroller. I love everything about this stroller but it is extremely difficult to turn, it feels like the front wheels are stuck. Can you help me?
Hiya, Sunell,
I have two things for you to try. First is checking (and possibly lubricating with WD-40 or silicone spray) the wheels locks. The small levers that make the wheels fixed, non-swivel. They might be in some kind of half-position, making your wheels partially locked. Go through your manual and find the wheel locking mechanisms and check them, clean them, make them locked and then unlocked again.
Secondly, read this stroller guide about cleaning and maintenance, especially the part about stroller wheels. You should clean and oil your wheels regularly, so it might be they are full of dirt or hair, or they lack lubrication and can't turn properly. After cleaning them - not just with water, please! (read the guide ;-)) - oil them and try turning a few times, it should be much better.
If nothing helps, there might be some kind of a problem internally, which only a repair service can help you with. I do believe this will help, however, so go on and try ^_^
