CBX Etu Plus

The Eezy S+'s large wheeled ultra-compact idea in a more affordable design
.eli
see 3 parent reviews

The CBX Etu Plus is a higher version of the CBX Etu featuring some extra functions. Compared to the basic version, the Etu Plus comes with larger rubber wheels. The hood is equipped with a viewing window and can be extended by unzipping the mesh ventilation panel. Like the lower version - the Etu - the Etu Plus can also be taken on board of a plane. This lightweight and ultra-compact stroller offers a fold that can even be done one-handedly. Therefore, the Etu Plus is a fantastic companion for travels, trips and holidays - no matter what way you choose to travel. Once folded, you have an option to carry the Etu Plus simply on your shoulder or in a carry bag included with the stroller. For small children, the stroller features a fully reclining, padded seat. Using optional adapters, car seats with Maxi-Cosi type attachments can be added.

Really good... It surprised me.

  • Lightweight, compact
  • Lies completely flat
  • Car seat can be attached (with adapters)
  • Larger wheels, compared to others of this super compact type
  • 3-point harness
  • Doesn't sit upright
  • Some could find it too narrow

This buggy is really good... It surprised me. The price - quality ratio is truly excellent. Perfect for summer, I can't really fault it. And I don't want any other... I'll keep it for the next child as well.

I have a reclinable car seat, and I am using it on this pushchair as well. What an advantage. I also can tackle some terrain, even if only occasionally. I even used it in winter 😁 Can't recommend it for wet snow, however, it gets stuck in the wheels. I didn't mind that, though 🙈

Nothing to blame it for, really. I got so used to it... I even had a sibling board on it. What surprised me here was no possibility of 3-point harness, but that's ok. And for some larger kids it could be too narrow. Mine are slim, so all was fine.

  • Large rear wheels
  • Extendable hood
  • Long backrest (52 cm) that lays completely flat
  • Large, removable basket that can be washed
  • Foam wheels do take gravel inside
  • The canopy creases easily
  • Short leg rest, I expected a bit longer one
  • Narrow backrest, I expected a wider one
  • The fold tends to need two hands because it gets kind of stuck and I need the other hand to finish it
  • No pocket in the canopy
  • The bumper bar is not sturdy - since it's soft, it's not enough support for the child to ride without being harnessed in

I was looking for an ultracompact for my tiny apartment, for car trips and occasional short walks. This one pretty much the only one that met my requirements. Large rear wheels that can endure being pulled up a few stairs - usually, buggies of this type have much smaller wheels. An extendable canopy shades very well when my little one is napping - usually, buggies like this don't offer a canopy that opens up to the bumper bar. The "one-hand fold" takes up very little space in the car boot. And also, it has a backrest much longer than any other I checked out.

The biggest disappointment were the foam wheels since I read they should be rubber. Gravel and small stones get in the foam layer easily. Also, when the backrest is fully reclined, the center of gravity changes - moves backward, so it can happen that front wheels are a bit in the air. And lastly, I find the recline system impractical - when there's a child, you need both hands to do it.

  • wheel material
  • weight of the stroller
  • folded doesn't take up much space in the car
  • easy to push even one-handedly
  • fully removable bumper bar
  • adjustable leg rest
  • canopy (read my review for more)
  • I'd appreciate a bigger basket (Moon Jet-R handled a bigger load of shopping)

I ordered this stroller straight from Poland (since I did not find it in my country). I ordered it in the "burgundy" color. Quotation marks are there because it is not a burgundy like its picture showed at all. It's a classic red. So it pissed me off a bit at first because I liked it in the burgundy version.

At first, I was very afraid to take this stroller and walk down the street with it - no, I was not ashamed of the color 😃 I am just not used to push such a lightweight stroller, and I felt like it would fall apart immediately. After the first ride, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The stroller is perfectly maneuverable (even with one hand), and even can handle sidewalks in a worse condition. Also, it is fairly easy to get up a curb with it.

I would say, nonetheless, that it is quite a summer stroller - because a winter footmuff will probably not fit in it. By some miracle, I managed to "install" at least a spring/autumn one.

I would definitely include the adjustable footrest (3 positions), the fully removable bumper bar, the material of the wheels (hard rubber), the lie-flat backrest, and the basket that can handle quite a lot among the advantages of the Etu Plus. And yes, I stuffed the basket with 3 fully loaded plastic bags and a 3l washing machine gel bottle :-D

What I somehow cannot identify with is the canopy. Yes, it is extensible, but when I extend it fully, it is right on my daughter's face. Some could also mind the fixed, non-adjustable handlebar (so, only 1 position), but it's possible to get used to that. Personally, I have to get used to the braking with my foot, because before, I had a stroller with a brake on the handlebar.

I would add that the rain cover and a travel bag to pack and carry the stroller were included with the Etu Plus.

Despite the things that bother me, my daughter feels good in it - not once she protested while riding in it 🙂

Your questions about the CBX Etu Plus

1)

Hi,

Is there any compatible carrycot for this stroller? Thanks

Hey, Malu,

If you click on the Specifications part, you'll see that, unfortunately, no, this stroller is not compatible with any kind of bassinet. There were adapters for a car seat, though, and some did put a GB Cot To Go on those adapters to use a carrycot with their buggies otherwise incompatible with carrycot... But overall, it is not advised to use it with a newborn carrycot as the center of gravity was not made for such use.

Hi, I would like to ask if the wheels are plastic because I read a review about worn wheels in just a month of use. And also my daughter is 88 cm high and I wonder if this stoll will fit her

Hello, Stav,

The wheels are made out of EVA foam. As a cheaper pushchair model, the Etu Plus doesn't have the highest quality foam so yes, on harsher surfaces, foam wheels do wear over time. The same happens to Valco Baby strollers, for example. It doesn't affect the functionality of the stroller, it's an esthetic thing.

To the child's size, it will fit. There won't be too much room in the seat, however - this is the case of most
. They're meant for occasional use when even a larger toddler should be fine with limited space. I mean, they're so small because everything needs to be downsized and simplified, even the seat.
