Baby Jogger City Tour 2
The Baby Jogger City Tour 2 was launched in February 2019. It is an improved successor of the City Tour. One of the most important improvement is the backrest that can be reclined fully, as well as the adjustable leg rest. Thanks to the compatibility with a car seat and a carrycot, the City tour 2 is now suitable from birth. The one-handed fold has also been improved and is still so compact that you can take the City Tour 2 with you as carry-on luggage on board of an airplane. For even more comfort, the City Tour 2 comes with a carry bag included.

Parent reviews of the Baby Jogger City Tour 2
- elegant
- compact
- lightweight
- spacious for the type
- quite an upright sitting position
- short backrest
- noisy front wheels
- shallow seat
I bought this buggy for my 2yo, thinking I will only need this one until the end. At first sight, it is very nice and spacious. For a travel buggy, the front wheels are a bit noisy - just as with other buggies of this type. My daughter liked to sit in it since it goes quite upright but also lays flat. It's really compact and nice to push, even with only one hand. I did mind, however, the short-ish backrest, which was ok when she was sitting, but when she wanted to nap, her head was protruding out - that is why we eventually changed it for something else. Overall I would rate it as a good choice for a travel buggy and a child that only rides in it occasionally...
Your questions about the Baby Jogger City Tour 2
Hi,
Do you have the detailed dimensions for the seat on this stroller? Seat width, seat depth, backrest height and total length of seat please? I'm looking to compare it to other travel strollers for my tall and heavy toddler! Thank you!
Hey, Coll,
Sure, the seat back height is 43 cm, the width of the seat x depth f the seat is about 32x23 cm, and the leg rest is 23 cm.
Hi,
I am a mom with a 1 year old toddler whos isconfused between Baby Jogger City Tour 2 and Easywalker Miley stroller. I am looking for a stroller that has an upright position for better sitting position also a roomy & comfortable position when she sleeps. Also, I am looking for the better stroller for travelling purposes since I am planning to travel overseas and will use this stroller when she naps during holiday. Please help me to solve my confusion.
Thank you so much :)
Hey, Novi,
I will probably disappoint you, but none of these two is upright. Easywalkwer travel strollers, Miley included, are actually very slanted, however roominess-wise, the Miley is better off and not a bad option, honestly. The City Tour 2 is a little bit, truly a liiittle but or upright, but still slanted, and although a solid model, not that roomy from what moms tell me. Personally I would go with the Miley here I guess.
However, if you need something not that slanted and more spacious, I would suggest looking at the Joolz Aer+ which is much better in those aspects.
Can I purchase a belly bar or tray with this?
Hey, Lif,
There is a bar for the City Tour 2 - I found one on Amazon for you to check it out here. They are, however, not sold everywhere, so google and check more on Amazon/eBay.
Hi,
I've bought a City Tour 2 and now I’m looking for adapters for Maxi Così car seat. It seems that City Tour 2 is just compatible with a Graco car seat.
Any advice please?
Hi, Gio,
It seems they stopped making Maxi-Cosi/Cybex adapters for this model, as I also could not find any. I only saw Graco and City Go (Baby Jogger's own) car seat, so that is what you will have to be aiming for, unfortunately.
Will the Tour 2 fit in the backpack-style carry bag made for the City Tour?
Hiya, Cate,
I'm afraid it would be a very tight fit, but most probably, it will not fit, not completely. The City Tour2 is wider as well as higher, all three dimensions being at least 2 cm more in that one. You might be able to fit it in though I cannot guarantee that, and I suspect it won't work.
Can I take this on a flight as a carry on? Maybe if I take the wheels off?
Hi, May,
With the folded dimensions of 59 cm x 49.5 cm x 25 cm, the City Tour 2 should be accepted as cabin luggage by many airlines. If needing an even smaller size, yeah, taking off the wheels might help, but it should be fine except for perhaps the Emirates' cheapest flights, where the cabin luggage requirements are even stricter. Worst case, they'll take you away from you as getting on the plane and return it to you while getting off. In general, though, you should be able to take this pushchair as a carry on piece of lugagge.
Hi Eli,
Do you know if any buggy boards are compatible with the City Tour 2?
Thanks, Emily
Hey, Emily!
Yes, any universal buggy board should do, it is not a too specific frame so it should be fine. I personally suggest the Lascal Buggyboard Mini or the Bumprider as they fit very well universally (but a Jané Go Up could also work).
A more important thing here is that as a very small,ultra-compact stroller, the City Tour 2 will be put under too much strain by a kid ride-on board. Read more about sibling boards and the possible damage to your stroller here in this article.
Hi,
Would this work for everyday use and fairly long walks or would another pram be suitable or the Baby Jogger City Mini with the 4 wheels?
Hello,
The City Tour 2, in my opinion, is not suitable for long, every day walks at all. This is a travel stroller (read more about ultra-compact travel strollers here), meaning it is best for occasional use, smooth surfaces, and travel (that is why it's so small, but then, the seat, wheels, and other features are also made smaller and simpler).
On the other hand, a mid-size lightweight forward-facing stroller such as the Baby Jogger City Mini2 4-wheels is just what I would suggest to you. It is light enough while more spacious, more durable, and better suited for everyday walks. Still not an all-terrain stroller (for such, the Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 would be much better), but for any normal use on smooth as well as a bit bumpy roads, it will work much much better.
So, no to the City Tour 2, but yes to the City Mini with 4 wheels!
