ABC Design Limbo

The ABC Design Limbo is modern, lightweight (8.2 kg), and a relatively compact full-featured stroller or stroller system (since it’s compatible with a carrycot as well as with a car seat). The extra padded seat features height-adjustable safety belts and a full recline option so that even as a stroller only, it is suitable right from birth. Like the seat unit, the carrycot is also well-padded, and the stylish fabrics' design features perforation as well as joyful patterns in some versions. You can click it right onto the chassis, fold if not in use or while transporting it, and what is more, instead of it, you can use the Doozy carrycot also usable in the car (instead of a Group 0+ car seat). The front suspension ensures a comfortable ride in the city. The Limbo also offers other functions practical for an urban mom, such as the one-hand fold, the telescopically adjusted handlebar, and the extendable hood.

The Limbo was released in fashionable patterns as the Fashion Edition or the premium Diamond Edition featuring dark melange fabrics combined with quilted, dark leatherette handlebars and chrome, glossy chassis.

Your questions about the ABC Design Limbo

1)

Can you please tell me if the wheels on the ABC Design Limbo are durable? I live in a big city (Berlin) where I’d use the stroller quite a lot, and I’d like to take my baby for walks most days in the stroller and we have bumpy cobblestones in my neighbourhood.

Would the wheels withstand this?

Hiya, Mary Bella,

I will disappoint you, but no, these super small wheels are on the harder side, not too much suspension, and on bumps, holes and cobblestones, they will suffer (and you, too, getting stuck quite a lot). This is a very very light and compact stroller made for less demanding walks, and I understand the need for a compact pram, however if you need a comfortable everyday use on worse surfaces, you will need larger wheels, especially the front ones.

2)

Hi,

I would like to buy a light weight stroller, suitable for traveling. I have narrowed my search down to this, the ABC Design Limbo, and the Hauck Eagle 4s.

Kindly recommend the best. I know this says 15kg and Hauck is 20kg, I am a bit worried the handle bar won't last long.

Thanks

Hi, Muftiyah!

Here, my own choice would definitely be the ABC Design Limbo. Hauck strollers are, from my experience, much "cheaper" even quality-wise, and even though the Eagle 4S claims higher weight capacity, there's no way you'd put such a large baby and comfortably use it with it for a longer period of time. ABC Design makes its strollers sturdier and with much better fabrics and joints, meaning the Limbo will last you a bit longer and will last better from the point of sturdiness as well as comfort. You are also right about the pushbar which, being rotating on the Eagle, will be much less sturdy and long-lasting.

Do count on a small stroller being (always) less spacious and less all-terrain, and you'll be happy with the Limbo, I believe. It is, in my opinion, the better choice between the two.
