Does the harness sit under the pram liner? It seems bulky & uncomfortable. This is a second hand pushchair. We have the instructions but I can’t see whether the harness needs removing to use in pram mode for a newborn.

Yes, the harness stays under the liner, moved to the sides and covered with the liner. Many parents add an extra mattress, usually custom made, in this, because of that.
