Silver Cross Wing

The Silver Cross Wing is new for 2019. This ultra-lightweight stroller offers a very compact fold, meaning that many airlines will allow you to take it on board as a carry-on. The Wing is thus an excellent companion for holidays or shopping. The stroller comes in eye-catching colors, including the Cool Britannia version with the Jack Union flag. You will also like the seat with a full recline, the ventilated, extendable hood, and the relatively spacious shopping basket with easy access. Apart from the multiple recline positions, the seat is adapted for the youngest babies by the presence of the fully adjustable 5-point safety belts.

Parent reviews of the Silver Cross Wing
- sturdy enough
- stylish, gorgeous
- flip-flop friendly brake
- easy fold
- removable shoulder straps
- UPF50+ protective hood
- accessible basket
- magnetic peek-a-boo window
- no ventilation closing hen your canopy is fully extended
- the backrest is not sturdy
- you can only use the viewing window when your child is napping
- seat surface could be longer
- all the accessories are sold separately (the Easywalker XS had at least a rain cover included)
The frame design is very similar to the Easywalker Buggy XS, which we were also considering. Overall, we were happy with it. It's nice and compact, so I can put it in between the seats in our car. Some details could be more elaborate, but you pay for luxury and comfort - and you'll get it.
Ideal to have in your car or for traveling. It drives well on uneven pavements. It's just a little expensive, since the buggy is not cheap itself, plus everything you want with it you have to purchase extra.
Your questions about the Silver Cross Wing
I’m in Australia and seems here Wing 2 is not sold, may I know the reason and what is the difference between wing 2 and Click. Thank you kindly
Hi,
There is mostly a design difference between the two, features-wise both are similar, compact travel strollers with smaller size but also wheels, seat, and basket-wise. I am guessing they don't sell the Wing 2 in Australia because of a lower demand or because of not (yet) fulfilling some requirement for the stroller to be approved / sold there.
I personally mostly see negative reviews concerning the Clic (that model not being sturdy not comfortable enough), though, so I would advice against that model.
What buggy boards fit on a Silver Cross Wing? Thanks
Hi there,
I would start with strongly recommending NOT TO use a buggy board on this stroller. It is by far not sturdy and large enough to not tip over, get loose and/or break over time with such a string on the rear axle - this is a travel, ultra-compact, occasional-use buggy that simply wasn't designed for such a thing. Read more about buggy boards in this article HERE.
Having said that, if you're going to use one anyway, try going for those most universal ones - the Lascal Buggyboard Mini or the Bumprider. I personally wouldn't use one on this, though.
Can the material from Silver Cross Wing 2 be washed?
Thank you
Hey, DK!
Overall, the Silver Cross strollers' materials are not supposed to be machine washed, if that is what you're asking. Two things they have in common: always check their label (and/or the manual), and never machine wash, tumble dry, iron or bleach any of the fabric items or seat unit. Only hand wash or sponge wipe-clean.
This is, however, true for most strollers. For more information and reasons, check our article about stroller cleaning and maintenance.
