Quinny Zapp Xtra
The Quinny Zapp Xtra is a successor of the popular Quinny Zapp compact stroller. The main difference between the two is the Xtra’s seat, which can be used forward or rearward facing and can also be reclined. The new hood can be extended using an added sun visor. The bucket-type seat can be tilted to either a semi-reclined or a fully reclined position when rear facing, while when forward-facing, it allows for three recline positions, including the upright sitting. Although the leg rest can’t be lifted up, you can push it out for a slightly higher position. To ensure comfort even for newborns, you have an option to attach either a car seat or the optional newborn insert. The Zapp Xtra can’t be paired with a carrycot since the manufacturer doesn’t approve of this combination.
To ensure a smoother ride, the improved chassis is equipped with a suspension system. The 3D fold is similar to the fold of the original Zapp, but the seat needs to be removed first. The small wheels are easily maneuverable; on smooth surfaces, such as those in shopping malls, you can steer this stroller even one-handed. When it comes to a more demanding terrain, don’t count on the Zapp Xtra. Its low weight doesn’t contribute to the stability, the manufacturer, therefore, advises against hanging any bags from the handles. The stroller was also released in limited versions: the pink or the blue South Beach, the Vivid Colour, the Graphic Purple, the Red Crackle, the Grey Crackle and the Quinny X Kenson (Kenson Signature designer collaboration).

Parent reviews of the Quinny Zapp Xtra
- Compact
- Lightweight
- Bucket seating
- Small basket
- Wheels
- Worse handling
The stroller is good except that it is an older type, which when you want to fold it, you have to first disconnect the seat and then fold the structure. The great thing is the bucket seating and the fact that it is small and foldable. A little bit harder to handle as it is 3-wheeled.
- small dimensions
- easy to fold
- positioning
- lightweight
- with use it loosens up
- is not for more difficult terrain, only as a buggy
Quite a nice buggy.
- Bucket seat unit
- Complicated folding
- Rattling wheels
- It is heavy
I had better ones.
It's fine for vacation, but not at all for the countryside.
- compatible with a car seat (with adapters)
- suitable for the smallest of babies
- not great for worse terrain
An excellent buggy even for the smallest babies! It is possible to add a Maxi-Cosi car seat to the frame. The stroller has a cradle shaped seat/recline. So for us, great if you are saving space and need a low stroller weight!
I recommend this stroller for summer, for travel, even on the plane - a travel bag is available. But also in the car, in the city... The wheels are rubber, they can handle the city terrain. Cradle style seat, revrses in both directions. It's stylish.
For me an absolutely top-of-the-line stroller. It's not a "terrain beast", but I don't miss that at all. If I find it sooner, I wouldn't want another one either. It can be adjusted from birth and folds up like into a mini car trunk, too.
