Mountain Buggy Swift

The Mountain Buggy Swift is a three-wheel stroller with smaller, air-filled wheels. The Swift is not only compact and lightweight but can also handle a mild off-road. Thanks to the well-balanced center of gravity, the Swift is easily maneuverable and can be popped up curbs with no problems.

The non-reversible seat can be reclined fully, comfortable for a baby as well as a bigger child. To ensure comfort even for newborns, you have an option to attach either a car seat or the optional Carrycot Plus to the chassis. The Carrycot Plus can be used in three ways. Apart from the lie-flat option, you can attach the carrycot textiles differently to achieve an inclined mode, perfect for babies suffering from reflux. By using a different fabrics set, it can also be converted to a rear-facing bucket-type seat, which is an excellent transition between carrycot and forward-facing seat. Among other accessories, there is also an option to purchase a protective travel bag, skis for front wheels or the Freerider scooter that can be added to the chassis as a sibling board.

In 2013 and 2015, the Swift underwent series of facelifts. The new chassis is shorter by 19 cm and the fold is more compact. The new models are equipped with a brake conveniently located on the handlebar, and a hood with a peek-a-boo window featuring magnetic closures. The locking mechanism of the front wheel has also been improved and simplified. The new safety harness buckle allows you to click in the belts individually. More so, you can adjust the length and the height of the shoulder strap. The buckle strap between the legs can be fully adjusted as well. To provide maximum safety for a small baby, there is an additional safety net located at baby’s feet that can be lifted up.

Your questions about the Mountain Buggy Swift

1)

Is the Mini a lot smaller than the Swift?

Hi, Victoria,

with the Swift clocking at 106 cm x 58 cm x 83 cm (open) and 72 cm x 58 cm x 31 cm (folded down), and the Mountain Buggy MB Mini being 106 cm x 58 cm x 82.5 cm (open) and 72 cm x 58 cm x 25.5 cm (closed, folded), no, the strollers are pretty much the same size. The MB Mini is just a few centimeters less wide in the folded state, while the Swift boasts a slightly wider, roomier seat.

Still, you won't get a huge difference going for one or the other, so go for any that you like more, design/features-wise, or the one that is for a better price 😉
