Cybex Balios M

Cybex Balios M belongs to the Cybex Silver series. The reversible bucket seat can be tilted to a fully reclined position. You can also adjust the leg rest. The seat with a higher weight capacity can handle even a bigger child. The larger wheels with mild suspension are mainly suitable for city strolling, but can handle even a rougher terrain. The same stroller, but with smaller, city wheels is the Cybex Iris M-Air. With the optional carrycot and/or a car seat, you can create a full-featured system from birth. For 2019, Balios M came out in a special Cybex for Scuderia Ferrari edition as well.

Parent reviews of the Cybex Balios M
- Good folding even with seat
- One-hand handling
- A bit harder, less suspension
So far so good. Easy to handle. It is nice to fold even with the seat part. I should have bought it earlier.
- Large seat
- Large basket
- Rattly front wheels
- Liable frame
- Thin canopy
- Poor ride characteristics - hard ride
- Black sort of faded :(
I was very disappointed with the stroller. I expected something more from this brand. The frame was unstable, the canopy was thin, the front wheels were banging a lot. I had the lavastone black and it looked like it was faded. Very hard stroller... I would never buy it again!
- easy to fold
- easy to drive
- faces both directions
- the front wheels rattle
- quite narrow
- hard chassis
Pretty nice stroller, but it has a terribly hard and rattling frame. We were overall satisfied. But the stroller is more for summer.
One of the best strollers. It is a giant basket, can handle the terrain quite well and still fits from a small car trunk and is light enough to carry up the stairs. The swing-out belly bar and the reclining leg section are also very nice.
- Bucket seat unit
- Spacious
- Rattly wheels
- No suspension
Lacked suspension - would have been great.
- Spacious
- Easily foldable
- Practical
- Super modern
- There are no downsides 😍
For me the best baby stroller in the world! I wouldn't trade it for anything! It met my expectations in everything.
- Composable
- Agile, but can handle moderate terrain
- Huge storage space
- Leg rest is adjustabôe
- Adjustable handlebar length
- Detachable belly bar (no need to detach the whole handle)
- Extended hood
- Looks great
- Bucket seat style does not allow to create a flat sleeping surface - it is possible to lie down, but then the legs are higher than the head
The best stroller in terms of compromise between compactness and terrain capability with many practical features.
- large bassinet
- adjustable leg rest
- belly bar
- detachable and extended canopy
- completely unusable in terrain
Quite nice. I have the Ferrari edition.
It's harder than the Jané Slalom, but it's small, foldable, easy to ride - and what I like the most: the seat can be reversed in froward facing and vice versa ☺️ The seat is large, bigger than the Slalom, and I put my son to sleep in the stroller until he was two years old.
- very spacious
- reverses for and against the direction of travel
- the wheels go through everything
- no suspension
- a bit difficult to fold into my car
For me, an average stroller. Unsprung wheels, so a bit harder, but thanks to the larger wheels it went through everything without a problem. The bucket seat was fine for us. The stroller is wonderfully roomy, suitable for bigger kids. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the covers, after a while you could see rubbing, pushing through etc... Reverses in and against the direction of travel.
A bit bulky in the car for me, didn't suit me to fold the seat first and then fold the chassis - I travel a lot and need to fold the stroller ideally in one click. But those who don't take the stroller out of the car 4 times a day don't have to deal with this :-)
Your questions about the Cybex Balios M
Hi Eli,
I have Cybex Balios M and a car seat, Aton what adaptors do I need? Thanks
Hi, Andrea,
You need the dedicated Balios M adapters which, as the model is discontinued, are not easy to come by, at least not in stores. Be sure to search through classifieds or eBay - pre-owned models and accessories, mostly - to find these:
Hi,
Is the Cybex Balios M compatible to use with most brands of baby capsules?
Hiya, Ana,
With the car seat adapters for this stroller, the Balios M is compatible with many of the well-known brands - the same adapters that go with this stroller's frame accept Cybex, Maxi-Cosi, Joie, Nuna, Recaro and Kiddy car seats. This stroller, however, doesn't accept Britax, Graco, Chicco nor Peg-Pérego car seats.
Hello,
Can you attach a scooter to the Balios M for older siblings. Will the attachment for Balios S work?
Hello, Anna,
By a scooter, you mean a sibling board? If so, and you are asking about the Priam/Balios S KidBoard from Cybex, I am sorry but no, it will not fit the Balios M frame. However, you can always go for universally fitting Bunprider or Lascal Buggy Board Mini/Maxi with this model.
