Colugo Compact Stroller

see 2 parent reviews

The Colugo Compact Stroller is an American-brand compact stroller that's not just price-attractive but also pleasing, thanks to its joyful eye-catching design. Along with that, a low weight, all-wheel suspension and an ultra-compact, one-hand, two-second fold make it a crowd-pleaser on paper.

You'll enjoy the Colugo for travels, mostly - some airlines accept it as a piece of cabin luggage. The reasonably roomy storage basket with nice access will also be a plus when shopping.

The seat can be adjusted in the seatback as well as the leg rest area. It features an almost-lie-flat but no bumper bar. A canopy-matching, reversible and washable seat liner is included with the pushchair; some sets even include two kinds, so you can swap them at will. A travel backpack and a rain cover are also usually included. Another backpack - a changing bag - can be purchased optionally or in specialized sets. More purchase-separately accessories include a newborn nest kit, which makes it possible to put the baby inside parent-facing.

  • Color-pattern
  • Style
  • Lightweight
  • Causes my son to slouch
  • Very hard to adjust seat up and down

I have been trying to use this stroller with my son since he was about 18 months old. He always looks like he’s uncomfortable and slouching. No matter what I do with the straps. Which are hard to adjust as well.

I love the camo color and design and the weight. But overall, I’ve only used it about 3x because it causes him to slouch weirdly, and he’s now 26 months. It feels like I wasted my money.

  • Compact size when opened and closed
  • Big, usable storage area underneath
  • Adjustable foot rest
  • Comes with a cup holder
  • Big canopy
  • Fun colors
  • Wobbly frame. It feels like it should be sold for half its MSRP.
  • The buckle is hard to use, and does not have individual adjustments for the waist and shoulders, resulting in a slouching toddler.
  • The ability to hang heavy bags from the handle bar means it is much harder to pop it up over curbs. It also means your leverage to turn the stroller is reduced, so single handed pushing on a slightly angled sidewalk (like most in the city) is a very difficult move.
  • After 2 months the brake is sticking and very difficult to use.
  • The construction of this is all riveted, there are no bolts for easier service.

We have been conflicted with this stroller. We like its size when opened and closed, and think it looks great. The cargo basket is big and usable.

But it has not been holding up well, and poor design choices in the buckle and the buckle attachment have resulted in our toddler constantly slouching in it, regardless of how the straps are adjusted.

After 2 months of using it, it's already broken. We don't love it but don't want to go through the headache (and cost) of finding another, so we are dealing with it.
