The Bugaboo Donkey 5 is a 2022 update of the famous&luxurious single-to-double reversible side-by-side convertible stroller system for twins and close-in-age siblings alike. Usable for 1 to 3 children (with a buggy board), the Donkey5 released after the Donkey 3 (there's no Donkey 4) is different from the previous generation in these features: new added ventilation parts, most prominent in the bassinet lower part; new fabric quality that is softer and water repellent, and, of course; a new color palette to choose from; and more padding with an updated padding system on the harness.
New internal - mechanical updates of the Donkey 5 include: an updated stroller frame with a bit higher (57 cm from the ground) seat/carrycot position; a renewed folding mechanism with easier-to-operate and more intuitive folding levers; and easier unfolding system that doesn't need pulling triggers anymore.
The Donkey 5 still offers reasonably low weight and a one-piece fold (if needed), even with both seats/bassinets attached. The extendable hoods protect your children individually and offer almost full protection from the sun even without a sun visor. Two extra-large viewing windows helping with ventilation are complemented with a huge storage basket that can be used with a side shopping basket/bag with a pocket with a zipper closing if the pram's used in the single mode.
You can add the bucket-type seat units to the chassis in both world- and parent-facing setup and adjust their recline by tilting as needed. The Donkey 5 also allows for a seat unit - carrycot combination (the fabrics of the carrycot have to be attached to the frame of the seat), while the seat can be in any direction. You can also pair the carrycot or the seat unit with a car seat. Alternatively, two car seats (with adapters) can be added - however, you need to bear in mind that thanks to the adapters, the width of the Donkey 5 with car seats is going to increase to a width that exceeds the standard 80 cm door width.

I went to check the stroller, almost sure I'll buy it. Comparing it with the BGB Donkey3 that was actually cheaper, I didn't find that much to actually get it. The fabrics and details are cooler slightly, yes. The Stroller is gorgeous and looks high-quality. But it wasn't that better, compared to the third iteration. The seller actually helped me decide for the Donkey3. And I am happy about it, it work great (even if it's not a small stroller when folded, but hey, it's a double).
In any case, I can recommend it. Even the 5th Donkey. I mean, who doesn't need the extra few hundred or two, and wants the newest that is on the market, gets a beautiful double pram with all the bells and whistles.

Can the previous model of the Donkey side basket cover fit the new Donkey 5 basket?

I am not sure what you mean by the cover - if you mean the textile and/or the interior closable part, then no.
The attachment system is, however, the same, so you should be able to fit the whole basket on the Donkey 3 as well - so you can change the whole side basket from one model to another.
