Bugaboo Bee

DISCONTINUED in 2009
see 6 parent reviews

The Bugaboo Bee is the first version of the very popular light stroller. It was released in 2007. The Bee is the most compact Bugaboo stroller. It is therefore a luxury alternative to an umbrella stroller. In the first generation, the small wheels are full and white. A smooth ride through the city is ensured by the soft suspension. The reversible seat is located lower. The seat has no leg rest, but can be extended. You can adjust the backrest from a very upright position to a full recline. The massive hood has a typical rounded shape. Similarly to the popular Bugaboo Cameleon, the Bee can be customized by changing the hoods. Summer variations with ventilation are also available.

The Bee is suitable for use right from birth. You can place your baby in the seat, for added comfort a Baby Cocoon is also available. A car seat can also be attached to the chassis, creating a travel system. The Bee was also released in the limited Denim edition.

I love it more and more

  • Foldable
  • Small yet spacious for baby
  • Travels over rough terrain (rocky road, forest path ) without the slightest hesitation
  • It's harder to reverse the seat forwards and backwards, I've had a bit of trouble with it
  • Too bad there's no canopy extension

Wow!!! Just a blast, the stroller pleasantly surprised me - what it can go over with grace, how small it is, but how it is still spacious for the baby. Absolutely awesome, I love it more and more 💓💓

It's horrible

1.0

I don't understand this type of stroller - how it could even exist. It's horrible, mostly the chassis - I don't get of what one sees on it, omg.

  • Lightweight
  • Foldable and compact
  • Versatile
  • Easy to clean + easy maintenance
  • Large storage space
  • Comfortable for the child
  • One-piece fold
  • Not good for harsh terrain
  • Not good for a large, heavy child (ok up to three years)

We had it from the birth of our daughter up to her circa 3 1/2 years, and we combined it with other types. It was with us on all of our vacations. It tackles any sidewalks, gravel roads, and even sand easily. The only problem was a real forest terrain.

I liked that my child slept on an almost-flat surface. This first-gen model has an extendable sitting space, meaning you can enlarge the surface where the child sits/lays. The storage is incredible, large. The generous hood and a lightweight frame make it a versatile helper. If you live in the city and travel rather often, I strongly recommend it.

Good only for short walks and/or for a small baby.

Its so silly its beautiful 🙏

  • Compactness
  • Low weight
  • Maneuverability
  • Shopping basket
  • Nice, protecting hood
  • Doesn't lay flat

For me, an excellent buggy. I appreciate the hood that covers the sides as well (compared to the newer models). A small, silly stroller - it's so silly it's beautiful 🙏✍🏻

This, for me, was a blunder

2
  • compact
  • big sun canopy
  • big shopping basket
  • difficult to reverse the seat unit
  • crooked seat sides
  • canopy gets broken over time

My little one refused to get on it. The folding was great, even though it was a little harder than I expected. The canopy broke (the joints on it often crack). The seat unit could be reversed, but the process was very challenging to do, with about 4 actions to be done (and the seat unit also gave off some fearsome crackling noises; apparently it is like that even with a brand new one). The sides of the seat unit creased inwards. Otherwise, the manipulation with the stroller was quite nice. I guess I got a faulty one...
